I'm impressed. I've got all the gear, I built a small studio in my bedroom using second hand eco office partitions, then I pinned acoustic sound wedges all over, I even made a roof out of the eco partitions, plus I use a rodes NT1as well as Rode nt3 condensor mics. Using my macbook Pro / DAW Cubase 13 pro via my Beringer UMC 204HD Audio Interface. The sound through my headphones is amazing, I live under a flight path and I don't hear a thing outside. The issue is I don't have a plan of attack, and after watching this video I realise I need to do my home work first and create a plan which kind of derrrr moment for me, give myself an upper cut, so anyway now that's the plan. Great song / vocals btw Joe good on you mate.

Thanks! Totally stole that clapping rhythm from Tim Horsley. On the EP version he played sticks on the side of the toms with that rhythmic pattern, we looped it throughout the whole song.

an impressive video Joe! Proving that above all else you have to have a fantastic song to start, which this is one of my favorites of yours. The more I hear that K47 the more I want one. The intimate, upfront and full sounding vocal is one thing that I feel I need to improve drastically in my mixes, but even more so I need to improve as a vocalist. Curious what your channel strip looked like in the mix for the vocals. Also the harmony and balance of the bg vocals were perfect. Biggest take away is the end result. Having just heard the final product most people would have no idea this was recorded in just an extra bedroom in your house with a usb interface. Superb job all the way around!

Love love LOVE this version! I use Studio One as well and I can never get the headphones loud enough to sing with myself in the mix...even using the "mix" knob on my Audiobox USB interface. Maybe there is something I am missing.
