The Woodlands is almost identical to Columbia, MD; same downtown-ish feel with it’s own town center, own amphitheater, great school district, mall, dining options and well ranked amongst the best suburbs in the country. Looking to move down to The Woodlands next year!

I haven’t been to Columbia so that’s good to know. Definitely reach out, we would love to help!

For me, living in Panther Creek, these things are nice and convenient, but not up my alley except maybe to window shop or to show to out-of-towners. I purchased my home about 10 years ago, and the main thing that sold me is that it felt so homey, and that I saw all the elderly going on the walking trails in their scooters to pharmacy, grocery store, restaurants less than one mile away. The grocery store closed, but there is still one within 3 miles,. So different from Houston. Many areas are not pedestrian friendly.
I feel you captured what it is to visit The Woodlands more than what it feels to live in The Woodlands. Not a criticism because there is so much to enjoy here, and your The Woodlands experience is different from mine. No way you could cover it all. Plus, I like that you focused on "feel". Feel is The Woodlands...plus strategic planning.
I believe The Woodlands is one of the best (if not the best) place for everyone, even people with little money. (Or at least the upper part of Spring if you feel The Woodlands is too expensive even though The Woodlands has many options for lower income families.)
So many free and discounted entertainment options such as Houston Symphony concerts and children's events. To me the walking trails are priceless. And earlier on knowing how great the schools are as I had a daughter of school age.
This was a great feel video. I know you have done other videos on The Woodlands also which incorporate some of the things I am talking about. I purchased my home in The Woodlands while my permanent job was in Sugarland. That is how strongly I felt The Woodlands was the right place to be. But it isn't just for the rich or those who embrace high end items and entertainment.
My experience is that The Woodlands is well grounded with neighbors who aren't necessarily earning top dollar. Panther Creek is an older community starting in the early 80s? You would know better than me. My house was built in 1982.
One of the best decisions I made in my life was to live in The Woodlands and, once I felt I had a steady income, to buy in The Woodlands.
I very much enjoy your videos. Thanks!

Great comment, thanks for your input. Yes, it’s very hard to capture what living in the woodlands is like in one video, I definitely focused a bit more on the amenities. But maybe missed a bit of the cozy feel of the streets you actually live on.

@@livinginhtx Thanks for saying so. I wanted others to appreciate how great a place it is for seniors, singles, and families with many different levels of income and education. It does have a reputation for the big houses and high end shopping, but also has opportunities for those looking for houses in a more moderate range than one would expect, especially if coming from a high COL area of the US or world.

There are tons of healthcare options here. 4 major hospitals in the woodlands. Methodist, Memorial Herman, Texas Children’s and St Lukes. Then plenty of private practices.

Let’s be honest people in The Woodlands are very snobby and when you get to Auburn Lakes omg they’re even snobbier and it’s very clicky with the women and they gossip about their own friends. I had to leave that area and I come from a very upscale city and this city and neighborhood is the worst

Thumbs down .... the suburb is not confusing. I cannot trust someone that thinks the woodlands is confusing.

Weird comment. So many people that come for the first time are confused. Don’t act like you magically understood the intricacies of the 9 villages the day you were born. These videos are for people that don’t know much about The Woodlands. If you already do then great. But that’s like a doctor saying the medical system isn’t confusing. It is to most people, just maybe not the doctor.

@@Redridge07 Your original comment said "the suburb is not confusing" and that's about it. So you're probably right, I don't understand you, if you believe someone is supposed to be well informed by this comment.
