One of the best recent Duluth storm and and flooding videos! Thanks for your considerable efforts! My mother and her three sisters were born and raised in Duluth in the early 1910-1915's. They were all teachers, one in Duluth, one in Milwaukee, and the third an education professor in New York City. I and my sisters started visiting here when we were about 4. Have enjoyed and am very familiar with Duluth and the areas on the video. We've visited with our two kids since they were 8 weeks old. I'm an now 71. The last time in 2011. Hope to make it up there again. Love Duluth!
This never fails to shock and amaze.me no matter how many storms. I believe the last one of this intensity was late March of 2023, and from comparing the videos, this one has even higher waves and more flooding. Amazing that the pier, and parking lots can handle this poun ding and water volume several times dyring the year. This would have been lots worse if the normal amount of ice and snow were present. I xan easily imagine how the Edmund Fitzgerald sank during a gale of this intensity and duration out on the lake itself. With the anomaly of the weather overall this year, makes you wonder how devastating these storms may become as the new year arrives. Eventually, could the ariel bridge control house be swamped or hotel and businesses be damaged. A video I watched possibly earlier had the gates on the piers still open. They must have been ckised thereafter. That could be potentially deadly if people venture beyond the gates to the lighthouses id they are not closed sooner. Makes you ponder the effects of future gales, not just in November.
I have heard from some geologists that the north end of the Great Lakes Basin is raising faster than the south to to soil density. We might not see it, but if they are right the canal will be underwater.
Hey That's some Rough Water, eh?! I like how so many Du-loot'nz have commercial arctic and rain gear! Why? Well so they can head down to Canal Park no matter the weather, Silly!
Awesome video !! Thanks from all of us who love to see Duluth.
I'm trying to get back in the game, but having tech issues. more videos are coming soon!
Totally amazing, creative video captures the Superiority of the Lake 🌊❄
Glad you liked it!

Glad ur made it through that flooded road; I enjoyed ur video👌🏽🌹
HOLY CRAP! Thanks for catching this footage. Was working and missed it!
Nice video!! I'd love to visit Duluth one day and see the Canal and the ships going through!
If your channel wasn't spooky quiet you would have a place to stay! LOL
Wow,you really captured the power of the lake. I hope no ships were out in that. Did they close or lift the lift bridge so it wouldn't be damaged?
I think they still had traffic crossing, but I certainly didn't see any boats going through the canal!
The sea was angry that day, my friends - Like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli... LOL
No SOUP For You!
Other than that, was it a nice day in Duluth?
It sure was! We ended up back down at the Canal Park Brewery and watched the storm subside from indoors.
WOW!
Nice job. Mnduro action news.
Duluth, wet and wild!!!
