Hey guys, I see the comments and I apologize if you guys got the wrong idea about how the character was talking about Lily. I intended for her to be problematic for the listener, someone who was bad trouble. Someone who helped stab the listener in the back by helping the ex cheat on her. Instead, it was just insult after insult on the character. For that, I apologize for it. I promise to do better next time. Again, I am so sorry.

The part where nyx is comforting us about putting the clothes on hit me really fucking hard and sent me to tears because about a year ago I got out of a really toxic relationship and basically he would force me to 'pleasure' myself I'm front of him and he would make me do it multiple times a day that went on every day for 5 months and I'm so glad that he's out of my life now but even though it happened a year ago it still has effects on me and my every day life

I’m wheezing bc my best friend is named lily and she’s literally gorgeous
love the concept, love the acting (the laughs KILLED me lmao), and even tho the insults were clever and did make me laugh in an "oh shit!" way-- it did throw me for a loop to hear so much focus on bashing Lily. i had to keep reminding myself actively that this is fictional because of the whole "a compliment that's insulting someone else isn't really a compliment" guidelines i had been raised with along with the whole Body Positivity Movement meaning not shaming any type of body or any other non-personality-related traits, such as voice (and i say that as someone who has to fight the urge to pin my ear to my shoulder when some of my peers speak, because of my sensory issues making some people's natural pitch feel Wrong in an Irritating Sensation kinda way to my brain, because doing that to anyone would be incredibly rude). though i do think your vagueness in specificity in said physicality and going for a comedy of insults, in addition to "she is just not you" shows a high skill-level of writing and extreme amounts of creativity! it's definitely an exercise you excelled at in that sense!!
i just think it was a bit tone-deaf at the same time to preach about respect (and respecting women specifically) and also dress someone (even someone fictional) down behind their back. it felt like "unless i like a woman/am attracted to her, then i will disrespect her and her body" (and creates a unproductive parallel between your character and the listener's ex) when i know your intention was to just uplift a listener who had been unfairly compared to someone else. i once heard another asmr-tist tackle the same "let's look at a picture of the girl he cheated on you with" with something simple like "I... don't want to say anything about her because she might not have known. But like. I know who I would have picked and I think he's an idiot" and kept the insults towards the cheater, and i think a similar approach would have both backed up your video's thesis better as well as give you the oppurtunity to dish out some more creative insults. i think it would have been a more Green Flag manuever to have gone with. but i did think all the ways you thought to justify Lily deserving the intense dislike, by making her someone your character and the listener knew, were funny reasons and i do applaud you into making Lily immediately a character i would have loved to know more about. i hope Lily continues to be a name you casually throw out in your future videos when you just need a filler name, if we can't learn more about this specific characterization of her from a different lens because she does sound like she'd be an interesting conversationalist and i deeply am astounded on you making me so interested in what is, i assume, supposed to be a one-off character lmao
