I’ve gotten a switch OLED to play in handheld mode not long ago, and purchased a bunch of games on Black Friday and during the holiday sales, both Nintendo titles and indie titles. I wanted to play different games, stuff that I wouldn’t play on my PC, and I’m happy with it.
I've gotten myself Mario Wonder & Odyssey, Zelda TotK, Metroid Dread, Persona 5, Luigi Mansion 3, and some indie titles like Black Book & Deaths Door. A bunch of nice stuff while the sales are going on :P. I don't expect the need of buying anything else soon... I've created myself a hell of a backlog XD... But I'll enjoy clearing it hehe
I just picked up the OLED version and im pretty impressed with it so far, picked up some of the old Final Fantasy games. Ive heard alot of people say that Pokemon Violet/Scarlet runs aweful, ive noticed some frame drops in places but it rectifies quickly in my experience, i am still towards the beginning of the game though, ive got Arceus on my wishlist, that looks great. Im not aure which Zelda to get first though, playing Breath of the wild or just jumping into Tears of a Kingdom, ive not played Zelda since Ocorina of Time on the N64
Glad to hear you are liking it! I would recommend breath of the wild first it is still one of the best games on the switch. Most people seem to love legends Arceus too. Enjoy your OLED!
@sophiehiggins1221 I've only had it a few days so I've only really played Pokemon Violet and Mario Kart, which have both been really fun tbh. Next on my list is Animal Crossing: New Horizons, that came with my Switch and is highly recommended. Other games that keep popping up in recommendations for me are Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of a Kingdom, Pokemon Arceus Legends, the Fire Emblem games, Mario Wander and Pikmin 4 looks pretty cool too.
@FranchisePlayyer thanks ill give it a go, I was leaning towards that and playing Tears of a Kingdom at some point next year. Great video btw, some nice recommendations in there.
I have all 3 and they are each very useful for what your needs are. Travel light, always at work, or just want to pick up and play on the go the lite is your best bet. Don’t want to worry about the screen or back, don’t really care about scratches or how stuff looks the og. If you care about how stuff looks and the best performance possible the oled for sure. All 3 are pick up and go but if you want to play on the tv, oled or og obviously.
I bought one like you from fb marketplace for 20 dollars since i traded him some old Videogames. I have no regrets absolutely crazy i was able to get one for so cheap
@whysoserious4464 it's standard so about 2-3 hours for something like tears of the kingdom which is more than enough for me with a toddler and not having as much free time these days.
The switch is 100% worth it still in 2024. I’ve had my switch OLED for a few months now and I really am enjoying it, especially the first party stuff and some third-party stuff of course and the switch is the best system for retro games and remakes.
@@FranchisePlayyer thanks, I’ve been playing currently Mario versus donkey Kong Bayonetta and are you downloaded devil may cry 3 special edition, I recently got Hogwarts, Legacy, Batman, Arkham trilogy Kirby and forgotten land Bayonetta2 that comes with the first Bayonetta via download code, Pikmin 4 and Super Smash Bros Ultimate recently and I’m enjoying all of them and I still have more games to buy before. I’m done with the current switch. I’ve already got 44 physical games and about maybe 10 or 11 digital games which is mostly retro games like from Sega along with some really discounted games. So yeah the switch is really awesome and the best thing to happen to gaming for a long long time. The switch is my only system by choice because I wanted something different. Plus I grew up with Nintendo as well, so I have a deeper connection to them more than any other and I’ve had more Nintendo systems than any other system as well.
@@FranchisePlayyer you have a valid point, but nobody knows when the new system is coming out. I mean I heard it’s been delayed until 2025 but I personally still think the current switch is worth it still with so many great games to choose from especially from Nintendo’s own exclusives.
I personally dont know what I would like to do. Im between the Switch Lite and Ayn Loki Zero. (A $250-$300 windows portable that has quite good performance) Games that I would play on both would be no mans sky, outer wilds, Terraria, and cat quest. Do I want to get the Loki for games like Forza, Stray, and Space Engineers. Or the Switch lite for Zelda, kirby, pokemon, and mario Im more for xbox/windows games but the switch lite would also be nice. Its hard for it being close to 2024 but you get a switch for a indie experience, but steam has a few games that ive wanted. Either way I would enjoy them both, even if I dont get the games I want on each of them. I think im going to spend more on the windows Loki, although I just cant get the Idea of a switch lite out of my head!
@@FranchisePlayyer I just thought about it, im going to get a switch lite. I already use xcloud (Xbox cloud gaming, but xcloud just sounds cooler) on my phone, id be willing to play those games on wifi. If there avaliable on the eshop ill get them on switch. Just overall the switch lite just seems like a better deal if im fine paying for xcloud right now, oh and the switch will have better battery life.
Which model of the switch is your favorite?
The bright red oled version mario red

You’ll definitely be set for awhile with those games, I just got Metroid dread too and I’m really looking forward to it

My oled comes in today, thankfully I’m not the only one getting a console 6 years later lol

Very true, I recently picked up a Lite and have been loving it! If I can eventually pick up an OLED for a good price I might pull the trigger on it
I bought one like you from fb marketplace for 20 dollars since i traded him some old Videogames. I have no regrets absolutely crazy i was able to get one for so cheap
Sounds like you got a great deal
How's the battery life?

Im definitely getting a Switch before Christmas time 😊

Wow nice collection. How do the Arkham games run on switch? I’ve thought about picking them up
@@FranchisePlayyer I’ve played Arkham City so far and it runs very well on Switch with hardly any load times.
Yes it is gonna buy mine it will be next year still i wanted an oled anyways
Good call on getting the OLED, seems to be the best option now
I'm confused to buying OLED Nintendo ..
i can't get my head around it if it's worth it for long term as NS2 approaches ..
That’s a tough one, but if you have waited this long for a switch why not just wait for the new Nintendo system?

Well one argument could be you can emulate older Nintendo titles on the windows device like Wii and GameCube. But yeah that’s a tough choice

Nice pick I hope you like the switch lite dude!
which switch should I buy I want to buy switch for handheld mode only and probably won’t even use the dock
If you only want to play handheld then probably shoot for a switch lite unless you get a great deal on another model
I will just get the switch I will only get the ps vita if I can get use it as a PS5 controller to play PS5 games on tv
Nice man
I don't know which one to get pa vita or Nintendo switch can be modded with PS vita games to which one I should get
Long term the switch is probably a better buy but I do love my ps vita
But ps vita can remote play PS5 games yes I think Nintendo switch is better
Should I buy a switch or wait for the switch 2?
The library is incredible, totally worth it at this point in the lifecycle
Should I get a modded OLED or switch v2 to save some money
Idk the price difference man
im sick of pc games i want co op should i buy?
Not sure, it depends on what games you like
nintenedo games only@@FranchisePlayyer
Is modable v1 the same as modable v2
Not sure, I don’t have a modded system
Ok
Which micro SD card to get to install hekate and atmosphere on switch
Bro I don’t have a modded switch. Look up a video related to that for help
I got SanDisk extreme 256gb is that good
