This was such a blast from the past for me whattttt! I remember all of these, and they made me realize I miss seeing all of your magical girl wands behind you!! Are you still collecting them?
Goodness I just realized I started watching you when I was in middle school and now I finished my first year of college. You have been apart of every part of my growing up experience and I just wanted to say thank you :')
Honestly though? That first number looks better and more elaborate than anything I've made. I have much to learn! But that's why I watch sewing videos on RUclips.
So fun to see these outfits that you poured so much love, passion, and creativity into! Also some major frustration along the way but you never gave up. I adore the shiny green/ pink dress at the end so much. Part 2 for sure. Need to see those prom dresses again!!
your makeup is adorable, you look amazing!! your drag style is going to be absolutely iconic i really hope we get to see it. as someone who has minimal costume experience i think you were doing great for the practice level. you had a strong vision and just needed guidance on the details that pull it together and quality. but that's how practice and instruction work :) proud of how far youve come!
I remember some of those! I also remember really looking up to your costumes even back then, because I only started sewing for myself for Hal-Con 2015 (before that, I'd made clothes for teddies, and put together costumes based on things I had already. I still respect past you for even trying zippers, I did everything with Velcro back then because I didn't know what a zipper foot was, and most of what I did was raw edges until much later. It's always good to go back, and see what's improved. I recently moved and found some of my old cosplays, and I found the very first time I ever put in a sleeve. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it (because I made my pattern from tracing a shirt, and made a mistake), but I loved that tunic and wore it to school a lot, even though it's technically a cosplay. Now I'm doing a lot more of my own designs with actual measuring and mock ups, not just cutting an old sheet into something that kinda fits (most of my cosplays were made of secondhand sheets, except for a few really big ones that I wanted to splurge for, or used the Atlantic Fabrics coupons from Hal-Con).
For so long I thought the first birthday dress was a precure outfit since it's so cute and pastel and I just love the design so much. I'm so impressed you designed it yourself, but everything you make it beautiful and so impressive. I would love a part 2, even if it's super short.
Once again here to compliment the doo-dads! You hair adornments are so pretty!! My ~personal fav~ of projects shown is the green flower dress; spirit of spring vibes. :)
It's so nice to see the progress. Just looking at stuff I sewed 1-2 years ago I already see so much "faults" and how much better I am! ❤️❤️ For growth ❤️❤️
I wanted to pop back in here to vouch for the Ritual vitamins. I started taking the Pre-Natal vitamins several months ago for future hopes. This decision took a LONG time as i have a horribly sensitive stomach, and I simply wanted to watch Ritual vitamin on the market to see if there were negative effects before trying - none. The ONLY “side effect” i have ever had is burping citrus flavor…. Vouching for the Pre-Natal Vitamins to be AWESOME for nails/talons. Just yeah…it’s a legit product. I am glad Ritual is your sponsor!!
hi! I can't believe I've never come across your channel, I was deep in the Precure fandom around 2012-2014 and this takes me BACK. I also love Japanese fashion (personally on the otome kei, classic lolita, mori girl side, but your style is like, so adorable) and mending / slightly altering clothes is a huge hobby of mine that I absolutely love. I just love how you're oozing with positivity and love for the enthusiasm you put into your projects??? just wow. it's very rare to find someone reviewing their past stuff and not just hear a lot of self hate. also!!! I just did my cosplay ever, it was very shitty and mostly made from re-sewn thrifted clothing, and while the day after the con I felt miserable that it took so much time effort yet looked quite bad, your positive attitude about learning how to sew and figuring things out along the way has convinced me to try it again next year, maybe just start working on it some months in advance. my dream cosplay is Cure Peace from Smile!, hope I get there one day. Cheers, fellow adult that greatly respects her magical girl loving teenage self.
I have been watching your videos since I was in fucking elementary school and now I'm graduating Highschool in 6 days. I cant believe I've been consistently watching for so long and i CANT BELIEIVE how much you have grown over the years. I am so proud of you and your progress as a seamstress. I genuinely adore you
Wild! I was just about to rewatch your recent vlog! 💕 I would like to say thank you for years of good soup 💕❤ I've been watching you since i was 13 bro, im 20 now and you've never failed to make me happy! You are appreciated❤💕 Luv Ya!💘
Loving the Decora Kei hairstyle. I don't really have bangs and have been looking for ways to Decora Kei style my hair. You've inspired me! Love your work! Take care! ❤🌈
Similarly, I’m a sewist, finally finished my first year of fashion school. Oh my goodness! Looking back at some of my pieces is soooo cringy. But it’s also great to celebrate all the progress
I think I remember seeing that first precure (or maybe the one after?) cosplay years ago and how excited you were about it. It's so great to see how far you've come!! 🥰🥰 you're a really big inspiration to me and I love seeing your sewing videos so much
This inspired me to finally upload a video I recorded months ago about my own handmade clothes :) (the audio is awful so I honestly don't recommend checking it out haha) thank you for the continuous inspiration
Throwbacks to baby pixie sewing skills 🌈🖤👍💯😎 I been subscribed to you I think since 2017..I first discovered you from searching lush hauls and one of yours from 2016 with yellow hair came up..I loved your style personality and subbed
This was such a sweet little blast from the past! I love looking back at my old projects and seeing how I have improved and what sort of style changes I have made, it was great to take a peek back into yours as well! 💖
So delightful!!!! I am so proud of your growth as a seamstress and a designer! :D Side note: I had a dream that we were besties in high school lmao so thank you for being my dream bestie
they're HERE. they're WIGGED. and they're UPRIGHT!! YOU LOOK SO WONDERFUL i adore the hair color with the highlights and all the adorable little accessories! ur drag looks so pretty :>
I completely forgot about your birthday dress tradition omg!!! I actually made my own birthday dress the same year you made the birthday dress in this video! My dress is *horrid* looking back on it now, but my 15 year old self had so much fun making it. I remember watching the Kawaii international special on my b-day wearing the dress I made and being absolutely *amazed* you got to meet Mr Sebastian This video was so fun and I'd love to see a part two :D
As someone who's been watching you for so long this video is so fun cuz I remember all those cosplays and dresses!! I was rlly hoping u'd talk about the green dress with the flowers cuz I remembered loving that one so much!! I'd love to see a part 2 of this video for sure!
I would love a part 2!! Everything here is still so cute and special! I really appreciate you making sure to take the time to compliment your past self and past passion, it can be easy to just roast yourself with hindsight. Also learned that there’s way more to sewing than “right sides together” and “run the end through the machine a couple extra times”.
It's so cool to see your past cosplay outfits. I love thoes videos at the cons. They are my favorite nostalgic pixilocks videos. I watch them all the time. You look like you were having so much fun and that's awesome. Love your style and videos and I can't wait to see more videos on RUclips to come. Love ❤️ your channel Pixilocks.
Love the wig refresh! I remember you made a dress for the NYC meetup, but now i can't remember if it was that green flower one or the pink gingham one i keep thinking of
You might have made a lot of mistakes in those, but you were learning and it's an achievement to make them before you had the knowledge from fashion school. When I did my GSCE Textiles back in the mid 90's, I tried to make a pair of trousers once and they were an embarrassment - especially since I wasn't even neat at cutting them out. I've found my love with cross stitch and hand embroidery since then, but the only projects that seemed to go well were sewing straight edges and patchwork (but even my patchwork is a bit wonky.)
YOU LOOK LIKE A MY LITTLE PONY DREAM. Also don't worry your voice sounded fine!! Not to mention the clips are so cute!! Your past designs,Their not that bad though, not horrible for first tries to be completely honest, but we love and icon who can make a sponsor seem interesting!! In 15:29 I actually really liked the skirt and cosplay! She's one of my fav characters in pre-cure :DD and the birthday pink dress is sooo cute!!! One of my fav things you made, I saw it on your house tour! ^^
oh my good golly gosh I also make a dress/sew/make accessories for my birthday each year!! I also have themes like my first year doing it was pink lemonade themed so I used a pink lemon fabric & made all the accessories lemon-y!! Oh this video gives me such serotonin goodness me, seeing your progress gives me so much hope for my own sewing skills lol. Anyway, I can't wait for part 2 if you decide to do it!! Love ya!! - Lexa
i never ever line anything (well, not so far and also none of the patterns i've used have required it so..) but that zipper made me feel less bad about my sewing haha. THIS WAS FUN.
This was actually a helpful video for somebody who wants to learn how to sew and make their first cosplay (or cosplayS? 👀 maybe a bit ambitious we’ll see) this year, like you mentioning past mistakes or things you should’ve done is a good thing to put in my brain notes…but also just the fact that even with your imperfect sewing in some areas you still made things that looked nice, at least to me! (I remember when you did the Cure Whip cosplay and I remember thinking it looked so good) You also made such ambitious costumes, at least from my view point as somebody who hasn’t even started sewing yet and is scared lol, I’m gonna start very simple but I hope I can build the courage to live my pretty, sparkly dreams too
My first cosplay I actually did a lot of sewing on (not just cutting and gluing stuff to existing leggings or stuff like that), was a simple tunic, then I did a simple Japanese style school uniform with the sailor collar and skirt and attached that to a dollar store t-shirt. I highly recommend Yumi King's videos if you want simple and easy to make cosplay items. I also noticed your user name, and I've been working on a Dawn cosplay from Pokemon (mostly so I can have an excuse to bring my Build-A-Bear Piplup to a con), and that was a lot harder than I thought just because of the shapes in the items, even thought the pieces look simple, so you'd be surprised at which costumes are harder or easier to do.

While they may not have been put together perfectly the photos looked really good! I was impressed, but then again I dont have the ability to sew very well. I have basic skill at best if you can even call it that. I have chronic pain in my hands especially so its really hard for me so I respect those who go all out.

It would be such a fun idea for you to remake one of your old projects but with your improved sewing skills! I'd love to see that from you!

The makeup!! The hair!!! The shirt and collar!! Ugh it’s just such a good look on you, you look amazing!!💕💕🌸🌸
Her cheeks look like two huge whiteheads are growing 🤮
The collar is definitely my fav everything is amazing but that collar is everything
Honestly though? That first number looks better and more elaborate than anything I've made. I have much to learn! But that's why I watch sewing videos on RUclips.

hear me out: two piece set with a big poodle-skirt that is a green field with flowers and a picnic blanket and the shirt is a blue sky with clouds

I LOVE this loving critique/appreciation approach to reviewing old projects it's so wholesome 😭🥰❤️✨🌈
Also the background you set up is very nice 👌

Loving the Decora Kei hairstyle. I don't really have bangs and have been looking for ways to Decora Kei style my hair. You've inspired me! Love your work! Take care! ❤🌈

yes a part 2 would be fun!! any video you make talking about something you enjoy is always fun

i never ever line anything (well, not so far and also none of the patterns i've used have required it so..) but that zipper made me feel less bad about my sewing haha. THIS WAS FUN.
Aaaaaa I’m working atm but this is gonna be the first thing I watch after work!!
(I remember when you did the Cure Whip cosplay and I remember thinking it looked so good)
You also made such ambitious costumes, at least from my view point as somebody who hasn’t even started sewing yet and is scared lol, I’m gonna start very simple but I hope I can build the courage to live my pretty, sparkly dreams too
My first cosplay I actually did a lot of sewing on (not just cutting and gluing stuff to existing leggings or stuff like that), was a simple tunic, then I did a simple Japanese style school uniform with the sailor collar and skirt and attached that to a dollar store t-shirt. I highly recommend Yumi King's videos if you want simple and easy to make cosplay items.
I also noticed your user name, and I've been working on a Dawn cosplay from Pokemon (mostly so I can have an excuse to bring my Build-A-Bear Piplup to a con), and that was a lot harder than I thought just because of the shapes in the items, even thought the pieces look simple, so you'd be surprised at which costumes are harder or easier to do.
i’ve watched since the lolita days so you could say i’ve been here a while 😂
♥️🥰♥️🥰♥️
And please do a part two 🥰 this was such a fun and relaxing video
Another member of the inexplicable-cold-this-week club (it's actually my own fault because I went to a concert last week)
I clicked so fast when I saw you uploaded. Love you pixie!!
Gosh on one hand I am no fueled with happy energy, on the other I am now DREADING my cosplay idea because it's gonna be my first sewing attempt all on my own and I know *nothing*
You sweing/designing the green flower b day dress feels like yesterday 😅
Me, not knowing anything about proper sewing techniques for cosplay or otherwise: ah yes smol pixie was such a young fool what a rookie mistake to uh *checks notes* not know about tension 🤔
All jokes aside, it's great to look back on old stuff and acknowledge growth!! I'd love to see a part 2!!
Would love a part 2 if you can🥰💗💖
Omg I absolutely loved this video 🥰 if you're up to it please do a second one 💗💗💗
While they may not have been put together perfectly the photos looked really good! I was impressed, but then again I dont have the ability to sew very well. I have basic skill at best if you can even call it that. I have chronic pain in my hands especially so its really hard for me so I respect those who go all out.
this look is so good Omg love the blush and the hair clips!!! Adorable sensational cute
wait omg waking up to a new pixie video?? it's gonna be a good day
How about a remake of one of those dresses?!?!?
I love the green dress with flowers!!! I remember that was one of the first videos I watched~💖🌻
Ooo I’d love a part 2 that would be so cool!
YES i crave fashion design vids so bad
Please bring back pixie asmr. Strawberry tapping has me shook
Aaaahhh this makes me wanna design and sew a new garment!
