*Let's go through the illustruous Lance Stroll's F1 carreer:*
2017: Dad buy Williams, who un-retire Massa, who was far from his prime, to be his teammate. Strolls inherits a podium from Massa's suspension in Baku and still finishes behind him. In races that both finished, old Massa was ahead in 10 to 4.
2018: A cachectic Williams hire a second pay driver, Sirotkin. And Stroll wins his first battle against his teammate, although it was 8-8 in directly battles without retirements.
2019: Dad decides to buy another team to place his son, abandons Williams, forces the promising Ocon to leave and puts his little son in the new Racing Point alongside Pérez. It looks like Stroll finally has a good car! However, he had only one good race this year and lost to Pérez by an astronomical 52 to 21, almost losing to Magnussen, who had a far worse car.
2020: Stroll now have a pink Mercedes! The car is top 3 now! Finally he'll achieve his dream right? Two podiums and a pole position! Wow.... Perez just finish 4th in the championship and Stroll 11th... Shoot. Now Aston Martin wants to buy the team and bring Vettel... Obviously he'll replace the underperformed Stroll to pair with Perez, right? Right? RIGHT?!?!?!
2021: Of course not! The team kicks Perez to almost unemployment and keeps Stroll to race Vettel! Let's remember that Vettel was never the same after the 2018 German GP, becoming a bay-blade... He was old too, talking about retirement... This is Stroll's chance! To defeat a four-time world champion...! Nope. He loses, again.
2022: Okay. Same situation. But no! Vettel scores more than double of points despite having two less races than Stroll!
2023: Aston Martin decides to employ Alonso, who had his struggles with Ocon on Alpine. Well, because of that, maybe our favorite Canadian can go toe-to-toe with Alonso! If Ocon can do it, he can do it, right?!
204 to 75. Needless to say who score the most... With roughly the 3rd best car on the grid, finishing 10th.
2024: His recently drive to the gravel says more than any analysis. And F2's most dominant champion is his reserve driver.
This is Lance Stroll. The biggest *joke* in the history of F1. And I thought de Cesaris would be unbeateble.

And there 2 other drivers with only 2 years more than him:

We need a driver relegation system that works out how shit a driver is in relation to their team mate and automatically drops the bottom few of that list every season, replacing them with the top of the F2 championship.
Would it be kooky as fuck? Yeah probably, but at least then we could say they're actually the best (formula) drivers in the world and the deserving drivers from F2 would always at least get a shot in F1.
As far as who goes to which teams, figure out a pool of drivers after the relegation/promotion takes place, and let the teams pick from within that as usual.

Running the risk of being devil's advocate here:
His spin in the formation lap can be explained by the battery recovery system.
If not calibrated correctly, or defective, it can override brake bias and brake the rear wheels harder, causing a lockup.
Everything after that, however, is just peak Stroll performance: Insane and sustained incompetence

Lance would still be in go-karts or playing video games. He's no business in F1 and it's frankly a disgrace... it's also grossly disrespectful of the rest of the grid and the entire sport. Daddy has spared no expense to see his son's aspirations through (Adrian Newey, Alonso, others). The Old Man believes he's the smartest guy in the paddock and don't be shocked if he sells Aston Martin before he moves Lance out of that seat. Gird thy loins for more embarrassment.

He says that Stroll indeed has the speed to be in F1, and he isn't wrong. It needs something to drive an F1 car, not just anyone can do this. But there simply are better drivers.
Stroll just doesn't have ANY mental capacity left and even worse seems to be struggling with just keeping the car on the road and out of other driver's lines ever so often.

It's quite heartbreaking that he is still driving, honestly. The paid driver situation has gotten better with some actual awesome rookies in the past year, which ironically highlights even more how unworthy of an F1 seat Stroll really is. There's just so much talent deserving of a seat, and this guy is stealing it from them because of his dad, who insists on having him on the grid just because they can - and nobody can say anything as long as they pay up. Dad stroll needs to realize the team will not be able to rely on this guy for consistency or even decent performances if they want to get better. I have a feeling this realization will hit him hard as soon as the car becomes competitive in the coming years. It probably already has, dad Stroll surely isn't an idiot if he got where he is now. He's probably hoping for an absolute beast of a car eventually, that will allow his son to outperform the rest of the grid by sheer technical engineering. Which, I mean, look at Perez...

The only argument I can think of that supports him is that he believed the sand was wet enough to surf through like Lewis did in Imola 2021 when he reversed out of the sandtrap
The issue is the depth of the gravel and you're not supposed to drive at a decent pace or the tyres dig into the sand. Yes it's possible to go through it in the wet but there are precautions you need to take before doing so and unfortunately Stroll didn't take him
Edit: I should also say he should drive through the gravel if it was a last resort. I cannot defend him when there's so much tarmac around him
