just discovered ya yesterday! nice channel ive always wanted to try battle tanks but well always turned down as id be trying to learn around sweats, why i tend to avoid legion td too
It's an unfortunate phenomenon with many old games; the few players who still play the game are the ones most passionate about the game and therefore most likely to be the most skilled and experienced, which makes entry for new players much more difficult. Ideally, there would be enough traffic to the game that regular lobbies could be hosted with both novice and experienced divisions (this used to be the case with this map about 7-8 years ago when it had a larger playerbase) which would give the opportunity for new players to learn the game. As is, there's a very high skill floor for BT League, so new players rarely are able to join, and the playerbase continues to shrink as older players retire. Alas, there's unlikely to be a reversal of this trend unless the map is remade as a standalone or ported into another platform such as DOTA2 to increase the playerbase.

thanks for reminding me of this map, it was very fun (wasn't there a very similar map but with pirate ships?)
there was, but I think it didn't become too popular due to the map being small. and the lanes being terrible.
you mean battle ships - still alive but small community.
this is classic Warcraft 3?
This top lane kinda ended them. I don't understand why they send new player vs somsone like Hellcat.
terrible community, terrible map. these guys kick you for not joining their discord and not already having 10,000 hours in their map.
