I just came back from Kyoto eight days ago, it was so hot and extremely humid and overcrowded with tourists . I was overwhelmed . Being in Gion area was even worse,next time I will go in late October and hopefully it will be less touristy. I finally just hung out near Kyoto station and my hotel area with less tourists. That was more enjoyable for me !
hmmm,... hiking up to Doshisha Cemetery isn't too hard and the cemetery itself is beautiful and interesting. I'm utterly in love with Meiji Era people.
