- Croatia is a beautiful country and this approach on the flightdeck of the SCANDINAVIAN Airbus A320NEO shows that. JustPlanes is in the cockpit of the newest A320 at SAS for a flight from Stockholm to Split. Josh 104 the checklists are sometimes split at a certain point indicated by a line in the checklist. “Below the line” is the called from the pilot flying to request the remaining part of the checklist.

Split island
Split is not a island
First Officer’s RT needs some work: he read back .... 070 on the heading when she told them to fly 080 degrees (close enough that she didn’t seem bothered). Then when reading back cleared to land runway 05 he just said cleared to land and didn’t say the runway number. Not good enough for a professional pilot (pilots if you include the captain not picking him up on it). Great views yes... concentrate on operating the plane would be better though.
I Think the First Officer is also a Captain as well as a Trainer training the Captain on left so he might have more experience so might have made things easy for the trainee. you can see First officer also have 4 strips.
I think he reads back "..cleared approach..runway... uh.. 05" at around 1:33
@@jannehonkakorpi3137 sure. But at 4:26 when they get the actual landing clearance, he doesn’t read back the runway. This may not seem much but it is vitally important that runway designations are read back. Not just for the operation of a particular aircraft, but for those up and coming pilots who watch these videos. I had a great instructor who really taught me to fly the plane well but when I had the chief instructor for a couple of sessions he really reinforced good RT. It made a huge difference to situational awareness.
@@marspp Yes indeed you are right. I only focused listening on the approach clearance part where they read back the heading incorrectly. Maybe the FO thought it was not important to read back the runway designation because there is only one runway strip 05/23 ? Who knows.. They did talk about how nice it was going to be (in Swedish) so maybe they should have followed the sterile cockpit rules a bit more to keep it more focused. I am just an armchair pilot :)
Im wondering why Airbus both pilots holding the side stick . Only the pilot in command should hold the primary flight control stick. Thats weird ,means both manipulating the plane or what I cant stand Airbus its sucks
I also loved the 737 max it was a real killer not in the way boeing wanted it to be

I don’t get your point either.Croatia became independent in 1991(as did all the other States that made up the former Yugoslavia).What does that have to do with a flight into Split?
