Julián Arcas (1832-1882) was a Spanish classical guitarist and composer with a sizeable amount of output for classical guitar. Nicely phrased, the portamenti were really clear too. A well explained lesson too. I like how you've continued this cinematic aesthetic with the lighting as well.

Yes, the lighting is here to stay but was on and off because I sometimes have a backlog of videos to post. So you'll see new content but also something I recorded a month ago.

Love your teaching, have learnt a lot from you ... have been learning classical guitar for a little over a year . I think ill learn this after lagrima and Spanish romance.
I love how Carles Trepat has played this.
    Thankyou for your teaching again.

Charming little piece. Julián Arcas is for me a great unknown. Segovia's spotlight tends to obscure the artists that preceded him, before the era of faster transportation and widespread audio recordings.

Thanks for watching. Arcas is pretty well know at least for the specific era of Spanish guitar music.

@@Thisisclassicalguitar Yes. I actually meant for me. It is a gap in my study of the instrument and its history that I have postponed filling for too long.

Beautiful piece. Might give it a go. Reminds me of Sagreras.

Glide through the notes otherwise it’s like a “Machine gun” for your audience. 😅

Ha, ya, I thought lots of kids and teens for like 20 years so I have lots of these sayings to get points across and they come out as I ramble!
