Thanks for sharing informative bookkeeping videos, i left my job as a bookkeeper in 2015 , since then i was doing other stuff not relevant to bookkeeping, Now i have a doubt , if i start the bookkeeping business, will it be successful or no.
Steve, would you recommend biz insurance as a BK; if so what kind, E&O or just GL? Thanks.
Hi Steve! I started watching Your videos recently and love them. I was a bookkeeper for a private hotel for 5 years and have a pretty good handle on Quickbooks desktop accounting version. I recently had a baby and had to leave my job due to the hours. It is my hope to start a virtual bookkeeping business but I am unsure as to what exactly I can offer. How can I learn what I can offer a client? Do you have any videos for that? Looking forward to your reply!
Hi Making It, I recommend taking my program, Learn Start Grow. Teaches you how to start your own bookkeeping business, get clients, grow the business. Comes with a bonus course in QB Online, which is a bit different than QBD, so it's helpful.
You can check it out here: www.BookkeepingLife.com
Hope that helps!
Steve
Is QuickBooks online available only in USA
how i can get bookkeeping online software.
how much for the programme??
Hi so I am considering becoming a freelance book keeping. Is it better to charge hourly rate or flat rate monthly fee?
Hello. I like flat rate. I have a whole video devoted to that in my program.
You might check out my free webinar at www.bookkeepinglife.com.
Best,
Steve
Hi Steve, I'm observing your office. Is there a reason to have 3 monitors?
Hello,
A reason, yes, but not necessary. I do taxes too, so I usually have several things going at once. It's good for multitasking. I have 2 computers/3 monitors.
Yes. It could be because uses it for extended screen to have more open tabs simultaneously. Doing so u can use a docking station. He is very clear, sure will explain it why.
Is it profitable business? How can we attract more clients
Yes, there's basically no overhead. I teach how to attract clients through effective branding and advertising. Email me at steve@bookkeepinglife.com for more info. Thanks
Hi, steve i really would need your help to create my bookkeeping business.
Hi Juana, send me an email and I’ll get you started. Steve@bookkeepinglife.com
Hi, what business structure do you recommend? We're in California as well but are not sure of which one to choose. What information do you request from clients when beginning a business relationship with them? Is it just bank and cc records?
Alejandro Correa hello. Please email me at steve@bookkeepinglife.com and we can discuss. There aren’t short/sweet answers to those questions, but there are answers.
Do you ever meet clients? Or do everything over the phone?
Лошка Лео rarely meet them. Usually all done over email.
Hi Steve. Really enjoy your videos. I'm from the US and it seems there is a trend to outsource accounting/bookkeeping to cheaper parts of the world. It's tough to compete with someone willing to take $7 per hour or $0 per hour if it's a robot. What are your thoughts on whether globalization and AI will eventually make bookkeeping not worth pursuing?
Ed I just released a video on AI couple days ago. Good timing. You’ll see it in the channel videos.
Ed here it is: ruclips.net/video/HKuxG9gYDHI/видео.html
@@Bookkeeping_Life Good points. Until the movie "Ex-Machina," becomes reality, it's going to be tough for a robot to build a relationship with a human.
how get online clients?
Really good branding + really good advertising (doesn't need to cost money) = clients
If you're interested in help getting your business up and running and getting clients, email me and I can tell you about my program. steve@bookkeepinglife.com Thanks.
Is there a demand for bookkeepers?
Always.
Thoughts on name verbiage? The use of "bookkeeping" vs. "accounting" services?
She'sSoBrauny depends on what services you provide. Accounting is more general and usually includes more services and possibly tax.
Agreed. Was wondering if you could only use accounting if you were a CPA. Thanks for the feedback.
depends on where you are and if that area has restrictions on that.
Where best to learn QuickBooks? I've looked at SkillShare. Is there something better?
Michael Vanin we have an excellent qb online course. If interested just email me at steve@bookkeepinglife.com
