I know that maximum speed is 170 km/hour. However, I heard that max speed of gasoline engine itself is 70km/hour if battery is totally empty. Is that correct ?

Nope, BYD DMI tech has 3 modes, in which the electric motor always works. When you run out of battery, the engine works to recharge the battery like a regular hybrid. There are no gears in DMI cars, the engine only drive the wheel at a specific speed for extra power, other times when u go below 25% battery the engine starts but acts as a range extender, only recharge the battery. The battery in DMI cars never go fully empty.

Shit seems those seats headrest is for "gamers" with the spine disorder, so far only BYD Han has ok neck support for me, it's super annoying with so bad head support, Toyota is the worst and the reason I want to get rid of my diesel.
