What if it's not speaking to Jeff, but maybe to all the fanatics of Jeff who expect her to be a living memorial to Jeff or try to use her as a touchstone to him since they can't get to him.....? Just a thought. I haven't looked into the matter in depth.
Pour ceux qui sont dans mon coeur à jamais et pour toujours on est si peu de chose !!! alors pourquoi se priver d envoyer des mots aux gens qu on AIME pr MA love SIster forever and more and more cya love !!!
Hadn't seen the Jane Siberry (er, Essa now?) connection, but absolutely. Anyone who looks internally and sings so poignantly... it's hardly a surprise. I love them both. I think this is a conversation she's still having with Jeff Buckley. There are too many parallels with his death in this song in particular for it not to be. And his own 'Everybody here wants you' is written for her. What a beautiful conversation, sad too but also overwhelmingly of love. I'm a sucker for real romance. Nick
I saw her last night in concert. She has an absolutely stunning voice and she is a fabulous musician. I had never heard of her before. She was supporting Rufus Wainwright's concert and I thought I was going to want her to shut up but I was actually moved to tears by one song called "The Human Condition" - beautiful beyond belief!
I worked on this music video, listened to the song nearly 1000 times, and I'm still not tired of it. That happens only VERY rarely to me. I'll usually get sick of songs that I love even after hearing them like 20-50 times. Joan's voice is heavenly and I'm really proud to have been involved with the music video.
Absolutly nothing to say but beautiful. I've just discovered this group and this sweet and sensual voice. The combinaison music and lyrics is perfect. Even the Scissor Sisters drummer agree with me.
I could be wrong, but what I think she's trying to say is that she loves and misses him, but she ultimately has to move on with her life and can't be sad about his absence forever.
Hm...I've wondered what Joan's been up to the last few years. I was a big Dambuilders fan, and Joan was always cool to me when I'd see them in concert. But this is pretty different from what she used to do. I'm hoping it grows on me.
Such a strange song and video...I didn't think I liked it at first but I really do. It seems really original. It makes me feel nostalgic for some reason.

Steffani absolutely right
I Love Joan, she reminds me of a character from a Tama Janovitz novel

lol, okay I'm not taking crazy pills either.....WTF is up with her saying "yes yes" in "talking" mode....it's so cacophonous it disturbs the soul.
