Just a note sir, one of the dings that I got on my pre trip was when I got out to grab the wheel chocks I didn’t turn the truck off and pull the key out of the ignition. Examiner said it’s never acceptable to be outside of the truck with it running. I had never heard that before until then 🤷♂️

Danny on the in cab why not start with the governor cut off since the air pressure is already a bit higher vs revving it to build pressure. Also would be good to also see a good example of the correct way to enter and exit the truck with the 3 points of contact
Great question 🙌🏼😁 on the Missouri test order doesn’t matter and this sequence creates a very simple 4 step pretest set up and then 4 stage abt. So, depending on your state, it is either this style, OR the old standard. That guide has the verbiage for both the old standard and the new modernized, BUT this video is the new modernized example. You just need to double check the up to date requirements for your state. 😁👍🏼

In Missouri I believe it’s 20 🤙🏼 each state has a different process, here in Missouri you can retake the test same day if you don’t pass and then again the next day multiple times too, check on your Permit testing state to confirm 🤓 applied to a school/program yet?!

Great question, you are no longer required to check the rear axels on the exam. I assume their logic is if you know how to check the steers you’ll check the drive and trailer axels similarly out in the field 🤷🏻♂️🤓 on the test, only the steers 🤙🏼

you failed when you released the brakes before building the air pressure at 2:15. Why would you build the air pressure with the brakes released? That’s wrong potna

I got my permit & all the endorsements today it was one of the answers repeatedly.
Same thing in Amarillo to. And they also want you to specify how you check oil. Minimum air pressure in tire.

Great question! I believe that Nevada has just recently moved to the new critical 30 standard of testing so this is good, but use this latest version as it has the more universal Air Brake Test example:

Watching this and looking at the study guide at the same time….. my guy leaving out a whole lot of stuff…. I guess u don’t have to mention the belt driven alternative or gear driven air compressor or power steering pump….. just curious
Thank you for reaching out! The confusion is totally understandable 🤓🙌🏼 this video is the “Modernized” Critical Thirty style. It is the current standard that states are going to or have gone to. So, depending on your state, it is either this style, OR the old standard. That guide has the verbiage for both the old standard and the new modernized, BUT this video is the new modernized example. You just need to double check the up to date requirements for your state. 😁👍🏼

How many questions on general knowledge permit test?
In Missouri I believe it’s 20 🤙🏼 each state has a different process, here in Missouri you can retake the test same day if you don’t pass and then again the next day multiple times too, check on your Permit testing state to confirm 🤓 applied to a school/program yet?!

Unfortunately english is crucial for exemplifying comprehension of the three phases of the CDL exam: pretrip, backing and driving. In other videos I’ve seen they check the tires and brakes on the trailer. Is that something not accounted for anymore?
Great question, you are no longer required to check the rear axels on the exam. I assume their logic is if you know how to check the steers you’ll check the drive and trailer axels similarly out in the field 🤷🏻♂️🤓 on the test, only the steers 🤙🏼

you failed when you released the brakes before building the air pressure at 2:15. Why would you build the air pressure with the brakes released? That’s wrong potna
Thank you so much for reaching out! When the valves are pushed in we dump air, we build to get air back up for the applied pressure test. And this system has 100% pass rate, so it is certainly not a fail. Where are you testing and when? Different states can have different structures to the test. 🤓🙌🏼
Cant forget airbags, slack adjusters, cat walk being clean of debree, drive axle and ubolt. Fire extinguisher and reflective triangles.
