They seemed pretty chill and friendly. I guess if it's a new job there's a bit of a buzz around things and morale might be fairly high, but most chefs/cooks I've worked with are absolutely not as cheerful and usually have zero customer-facing ability.

Incorrect. It's not nepotism. Nepotism is when one employs a member of family or close friends based purely on the relationship rather than the skills to perform a role. This is a case of using a famous name to sell something - the same way actors / actresses are used to sell cologne / perfume. They aren't versed in the art of perfumery, they are versed in the art of making money and selling a brand. Beckham is using his fathers name to sell stuff. It's not nepotism, it's capitalism.

They have done the work and gained the respect to get there unlike Brooklyn who has never worked in a restaurant in his life. Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver worked for a significant period of time learning their craft and building up their pr to create their restaurants. Brooklyn beckham just decided he wanted to be a chef one day and in a short amount of time has a cooking show and pop up takeaway… without the hard graft.
At least they have food at their restaurants and have contributed so much to the culinary industry and have educated us so much about food. I can't say the same for Brooklyn
