    as a baseball player, this is EXTREMELY impressive. I face 80-90 mph regularly in high school ball, but in softball the mound is much closer and the release makes it basically the equivalent to hitting a 90 mph fastball

    Back when I played softball, I played against this team where I knew the pitcher. Her name is Sierra and her pitches are very fast, maybe 50-60+mph. When we played Softball at the same time, I was always in her team. This one year I wasn’t and my team had to go against her team. I knew her dad because he was the coach of her team. When it was my time to go up and bat, I wasn’t afraid at all. Though I noticed her pitches were very fast and she has improved over the years. Every time, when she pitched I always swung and got a foul ball each time. I really wanted to swing the ball and be able to run and land on 1st base. That didn’t happen because I got out and my team to be honest was pretty terrible. There was this one girl like me who did make very far and good hits. But, when she came in contact with Sierra, she was nervous and couldn’t swing at all. That day we lost to no points. I was upset about it because nobody in my team touched the home base. I was happy though because of her improvements. I quit 3 years ago and till this day she still plays softball. I’m a year younger than her and she’s living the best life!

I’d practice with my dad with a 26 oz end loaded mens Miken bat. He’d pitch 40-50 and swinging that heavy bat built up my strength over time, and once I could hit 50mph on the inside corner, outside, high, low; hitting faster pitching with a 21-22oz evenly weighted bat was pretty easy. • @Jay_Force_One
    @Jay_Force_One Год назад +1

    People can’t compare Baseball and Softball. Although they are the same at a foundational level, they’re still very different. The biggest difference being the size of the playing area and the delivery of the ball. It’s very rare to see someone talented in either one to switch up and have any sort of success.
    Now that I’m older outside of the MLB, Men’s Baseball is pretty unheard of in most areas, so I’m stuck with Men’s Softball. Let me tell you…..that ball comes in very different. Everyone is hung up on Velocity, which velocity is whatever. It just comes down to timing. If someone threw 100 MPH straight down the middle every time, you would eventually get it. It’s the movement that makes it hard. A softball is large with large seams and it makes the softball do all sorts of crazy stuff. It also tends to rise since it’s pitched underhand, and it will completely catch you off guard with a lot of velocity on it.
    Now if you’re seeing baseball players cranking softballs and softball players being struck out by a baseball. That’s because you’re watching men play woman and that’s completely different than comparing the sport itself. Men are just physically bigger, stronger, faster biologically.

      @@billylykins6031 no record, they're out there you just got to be in the right tournaments playing the right teams teams, the pitcher for BYU, I'm not sure if she's graduated or not her name is arisa Paulson. We faced her from 10 u on, in 10u consistent 60, she was 5 ft 9 at 10 years old. So these speeds do not surprise me at all.

    This is one's opinion that it is sixty plus, and may not be a excellent hitter. Sure there are others out there that are capable. Point is just a video of a batter and putcher. Seen 12 u that had girls larger than full grown women and girls play them that looked like little girls. Little girls win so size and speed isn't everything.
