When we played Softball at the same time, I was always in her team. This one year I wasn’t and my team had to go against her team. I knew her dad because he was the coach of her team. When it was my time to go up and bat, I wasn’t afraid at all. Though I noticed her pitches were very fast and she has improved over the years. Every time, when she pitched I always swung and got a foul ball each time. I really wanted to swing the ball and be able to run and land on 1st base. That didn’t happen because I got out and my team to be honest was pretty terrible. There was this one girl like me who did make very far and good hits. But, when she came in contact with Sierra, she was nervous and couldn’t swing at all. That day we lost to no points. I was upset about it because nobody in my team touched the home base. I was happy though because of her improvements. I quit 3 years ago and till this day she still plays softball. I’m a year younger than her and she’s living the best life!
I can believe that it's 12u. It's very high level though. Batter as well. That was probably the best batter on the team, huh? 60 comes real fast from 40ft away!
Yeah it was 12u but that was 3 years ago now and that was my daughter batting she usually hits fast pitchers but couldn’t catch to the pitcher that time…we played really competitive teams in 12u at the time

At that age most of those kids haven't learned to preload their swing and rather wait for the ball to be released to begin a swinging motion. With this kind of velocity, either they have no chance, or there is a lot of arm swinging if they do hit the ball. This girl is bringing some major smoke.
@@colbymcnally9402 well first, the right weight bat. People can’t compare Baseball and Softball. Although they are the same at a foundational level, they’re still very different. The biggest difference being the size of the playing area and the delivery of the ball. It’s very rare to see someone talented in either one to switch up and have any sort of success. Now that I’m older outside of the MLB, Men’s Baseball is pretty unheard of in most areas, so I’m stuck with Men’s Softball. Let me tell you…..that ball comes in very different. Everyone is hung up on Velocity, which velocity is whatever. It just comes down to timing. If someone threw 100 MPH straight down the middle every time, you would eventually get it. It’s the movement that makes it hard. A softball is large with large seams and it makes the softball do all sorts of crazy stuff. It also tends to rise since it’s pitched underhand, and it will completely catch you off guard with a lot of velocity on it. Now if you’re seeing baseball players cranking softballs and softball players being struck out by a baseball. That’s because you’re watching men play woman and that’s completely different than comparing the sport itself. Men are just physically bigger, stronger, faster biologically.
