Realistically glav would not only be the strongest brute wyvern but one of the deadliest monsters in the series. It could just slice right through most monsters with the exception of any made out of stone like baserios.

But in reality almost all monsters have extremely tough hide, if you take actual gameplay as canon, Deviljho's hide actually has higher defenses compared to Glavenus's armor
So yeah, having a sword tail isn't enough in the world of Monster Hunter.
Deviljho is just him (he could prob avoid the attacks too)
(unless it's a hellfire glav, in which case even savage is fucked)

Realistically, it'd cut through its own face every time it tries to sharpen its tail, so no, it realistically shouldn't be the strongest brute, and isn't.
I don't know why but whenever I see Deviljho it gives me goosebumps. I haven't fought Savage Deviljho yet because of this 😂

Tbf, in more realistic environment Glavenus is probably *one of the* most OP creatures in the series, Elders included. Not only he casually wields a blade the size of a *building,* he also overheats it to the point of turning himself into the MGR Raiden.

That's a very small Deviljho, also realistically speaking Deviljho's muscles are as hard and tough as scales/shells itself so it won't really be that easy for a monster like Glavenus to just cut through it.

Concept Art =/= actual gameplay, besides when you actually play the game Deviljho's hitzones are for some reason freaking high even though it has no visible "armor"? Compared to it Glavenus's hitzones are pretty alright.
Also am no fanboy, cause officially in Iceborne SavageJho is the ONLY monster that invades in Elder quests, that alone shows that it is stronger than Glavenus.

I always hated devil jho for its tail like why does it have the most bulkiest tail

I dunno...feel like Alatreon's tail is thick, and uragaan and radobaan tails are so thick, that the lopped off portion looks like a hemisphere.
because a tail in the case of a body like deviljho's has to act as a counterweight to keep it balanced, and deviljho is a BEEFY monster; it's pretty much dense bone covered in pure muscle covered in heavy scales and spikes, and has some of the thickest anatomy of any monster, especially in its jaw, neck and back/shoulders, especially when enraged when they swell
it's purely just biology as to why its tail is as big as it is
