Nope, external overlays mess with in game files and more than just being an image over your screen. An easy way to explain it is that an overlay like this is like putting a sticky note over your screen, but cheats are if you try and mess with the organs of the game.
I know you can get free ones but it’s just more convenient for me to buy the app for like £10 imo it’s worth it, I got my own custom dynamic crosshair that goes from a cross to a dot when aiming in and I like it a lot.
I have a red or green cross hair implenmented in my monitor which is pretty neat it goes square circle or i forgot last one but its pretty neat since no fps consuming and it overlays EVERYTHING

i use Crosshair V2 and i can confirm that it works in fullscreen and its pretty much a replica of Crosshair X, it just has a few less crosshairs to choose from.

I am so used to aiming without a crosshair in Payday 2 and VR titles that having my crosshair go invisible for half a second is no big deal. I stick with the default because of it's reactivity and because I'm just kinda lazy.
