I had the same thought when Cedrat Boise Intense came out. Should I drop 150 now or wait. 5 months later in July, it popped up for 135 and I jumped on it. Fast forward to now, it's still around 115-130. Point being. If you find it for around 130-150. Get it.
You should check the new brand of Matiere Premiere, specially the Encens Suave and Falcon Leather. He has very good quality, also had Bois d'ebene, Santal Austral. The Mancera Tonka Cola, i have on a sample at homme, but is not a whow for me, is ok...think I I'm not buying 😅 For me the best Mancera is Red Tobacco Silver Blue Cedrat Boise Intense Instant Crush Aoud Exclusif
An cedrat Boise takes a big boy beating from mancera , one of my highest compliment getters but I 'll be trusting you again on your opinion for this cola bottle I think,, aoud lemon mint is a big hitter too I think , it's a descent house mancera an would class it as Niche ya know, but with designer prices 👊🏻
Greetings, what you described sounds like the opening of Guerlain L’Homme Ideal which smells like a nice cherry mixed with Vanilla Coke. Got my bottle in London and was told because of its ingredients it cannot be sold in US because it uses whale products, so perhaps this is Mancera version. Be interesting to compare the two side by side if you were ever able to get a decant from overseas.
Haha funny because no ginger inside but yes cola has ginger in it so we can smell it and even taste it. If you ever tried a colo candy 🍬 you taste the ginger 🫚
Man Some of the reviews on fragrantica are FOUL. I have been searching for a cola fragrance for a while (im still pretty new to niche fragrance collecting) and mannnn theyre putting me off. I think i just might have to buy it and try it for my self
I liked the Mancera but it for me fell short especially in the performance. My biggest gripe was that it smelt more like cola that coca-cola like the cheap soda alternatives to coca-cola. The best take on coca-cola is Jacques Zolty 'Severo' which is literally coca-cola with lime and a hint of booziness.

I received a sample of this fragrance and I must say I found the opening to be very synthetic awful smell. But this fragrance truly shines on the dry down, 7/10 once it dries down.

The scent is ok but nothing special. It opens with a pungent and synthetic citrus that smells like Halls Lemon. Then a Cola Chupa Chups. The drydown is inspired by Roja Enigma.

All of my Mancera's except Silver Blue have a magnetic cap and that was way before Cedrat intense was announced :)
