Kalan is a superpower. I absolutely love it. Kalan was my first pdm and I love it to this day. It's not for everybody but if you can pull it off it's a beast.
I think Galloway is pretty underrated too. I love it!
I tried Habdan about a month ago, and I completely agree. It's great. Very underrated from the brand.
i blind bought it and it was the risky ever LOL but it paid out hugely. i love amber, apple, and some spices

Darley and Kalan have become two of my personal favorites from PdM (although tbh there are very few from this house I DON'T like), and I might not have given either one a shot without this video. Thanks for highlighting these ones!
Completely agree when it comes to Kalan, it’s really grown on me recently, it’s moved up the ranks real quick as one of my fav most verisitile PDMs. For some reason lots of people dunk on that one but maybe they just need to give it a chance 🤷 either way it’s great and I no longer regret getting it whatsoever, I love it!!!!

Enjoy the content you are producing, but would love to see more on the fashion side. Like some suits to shoes, ties, belts, cufflinks to sock game. Even with colder weather upping the Sweater game, scarfs, and overcoats. So much to talk about with that. would love if you can put something together on this.
I have all 5 of these. Haven't worn Nisean yet but I've tested it on a strip and on skin. I love Kalan.
Kalan has that earthy moss type smell after dry down, but man oh man that blood orange is the main note that my nose picks up. A true beast mode of projection, longevity and silage as well.
Have to say. I watched and subscribed almost from day one. I remember when you had less than 100 subscribers and now look at you. I'm proud sir.

Habdan can almost be a winter signature scent for me. It's like someone baked an caramel apple pie in a middle eastern oven, in fact I think it is as good as Oajan--and I love that scent. I do see others talk about it (some) but it is definitely underrated. Nisean should NOT have been discontinued. Wonderful mix of spices, floral, and resin followed by the best creamy-smooth use of patchouli I have found. Kalan is different, I love the dry down, amazing pepper blast up front. Still waiting to find Akaster at an acceptable price point. Just added to my PdM collection, almost completing it with additions of Hamdani, Shagya, Kuhuyan, and Byerly, looking forward to their arrival. Appreciate your presos and attention to detail. Thanks.
how did hamdani go?
It took me wearing Hamdani a couple of times before I got used to it, before I liked it, and before I loved it. The opening is strong and the dry down is awesome. I do need to know who I am going to be around during the day within the first thirty minutes of putting it on. My girlfriend likes it, but it's not for everyone. It's NOT a blind buy, but if you do like frags with an animalic scent, it's good to go. I have a Very Broad range of scents that I like. If someone is under thirty and in the pineapple crowd....probably not for them.

I own Akaster and it is very underrated for sure.
my wife thinks habdan is a little heavy on the floral but dry down is fantastic. she loaves oajan in winter and nissean year round for sure. havent tried the other black label gold top entries from PDM.

Hello Darren, it occured to me to first try Amouage's Reflection Man and Jubilation XXV and then ti sample Darley and Nisean which i find to be quite similar and less attractive. As for Kalan it smells more than Oud for Greatness. Layton is owesome, Byrley is weird. I am looking to smell Habdan

Habdan is a challenge for me...not gunna lie. I recognize the quality and creativity of the perfumery, but it's just a lot of work for me. It's not a blind buy candidate. I need to get a sample of Kalan - this one is definitely the most divisive PDM.
Just picked up Kalan…. Nothing close to Baccarat. Puts me in the mind frame of Thierry Mugler Ultra Zest with the sweet orange dry down, but with an organic orange opening opposed to the synthetic creamsicle smell of Ultra Zest. Made Kalan the easier purchase for me due to Ultra Zest being heavily marked up
Habdan is my fav from PdM! For me is the best in the whole line, sexy yet elegant... just so good.

It seems all reviewers always choose EDP over EDT. Personally I prefer D&G the one EDT over EDP. Could you please do a video on EDT concentrations you prefer over their EDP/Parfum counterparts?
I have all 24 Parfums de Marly fragrances and I agree with you that these are very underrated. They aren't as challenging as Hamdani or Byerly so they are definitely worth trying a decant on them. Thanks for the video
I got Byerley and in fact I left comment to bowtie to make a video about it but he never did or responded , but it is a very very underrated fragrance that is not that bad !
@@VictorLopez-lm1jl no it's not as challenging as Hamdani but neither are mass appealing as most of their popular offerings. The opening for Byerley is a little rough around the edges until it gets to the mid and heart notes. Hamdani is more linear throughout with very little change and for me it is very hard to get acclimated to the scent. Some people like it and others don't.
How long did it take you to acquire the whole line of fragrances from the house??
@@andredrayton5668 About a year. Some of them were harder to find at discounters than others and several are discontinued. I have been working on my Xerjoff collection next. Doubtful I will get all of them but about 20-25 sounds about what I'll shoot for.

I just wanted to share with you how much I adore Kalan. I know it's a fragrance that people either love or hate, but in my opinion, it's one of PDM's best fragrances. While Layton isn't my thing, I'm head over heels for Carlisle - it's definitely my favourite from PDM.
Habdan is in my top 3 PDM as Layton and Haltane.

Just got that Oajan and like folks said, it's just like Angel's Share but Angel is arguably better. Kinda disappointed, but I haven't worn it yet

layton and pegasus are both amazing imho but i've never had more compliments wearing a fragrance than hamdani and i can't, for the life of me, figure out why they discontinued that most beautiful scent

Absolutely worth it. Didn't care for it at first,came back to it a couple years later and loved it. Cherry tobacco at its finest.
Herod is a great fragrance. It’s just not as potent as the other fall/winter fragrances like Carlisle

Yes, I've gotten plenty of fragrances from that site, I got my 1st Initio fragrance from Aura Fragrances...Initio Side Effect...they have designer & niche fragrances for the low low

Honestly I tested the Nisean and it was one of the worse scent I have ever laid my nose on! I absolutely hated that fragrance, I don't know what it was about it but it was obnoxious and just plain a horrible scent. I'm sorry but it was bad!
Carlisle smell like tabaco vainilla ,Herod if not mistake smell like angel pure havane most of this cologne smell like other cologne nothing new in my opinion ...

The entire PdM line is overrated, so there is no such thing as an underrated PdM.
The house has a less than average DNA.
Most of them are boring. Some are OK for around one third of there MSRP. Their pricing is a crime.
I like only 2 PdMs : Godolphin and Herod. And even then - Herod has recently been homeopathically diluted and disappears in less than an hour, so if you're looking for a real crime, it's right there - dilution.
Habdan? Heeeeeck no, that fragrance is straight booty

It's polarizing, either a love or hate type scent. I personally love it but oddly enough i dislike TF Fucking Fabulous even though that's the closest thing to kalan
