I was born in Germany in 1964 and always had a advent calendar growing up with the chocolate pieces. After all these years I still buy one if I can find them in town. Nice crafts. I liked all of them! My favorite is the one in the frame with the envelopes.
I loved all of them but particularly, the one where the foam dies turn. I also liked the frame with the clothesline. I would include a Bible verse... Tfs ❤
Love them all! My husband and I are alone this year so I think the envelope version would be perfect for us! Each day could contain a bible verse to study or an act of kindness for the following day. We love acts of kindness and try to do one each day. We have learned that doing even something simple for someone else fills us with so much happiness! Our only child died last December13th, so I'm really trying to get into the holiday season and do everything I can to make it happy for my husband.
I love the snowman countdown..but i love snowmen anyway and have this wood snowman! I have a fabric advent calendar, as a sewer/quilter, but still like to craft. Always love to see new inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
I've been making a new advent calendar for our family since my son was probably 2 years old. He's now 18 and in college. It's been such a tradition that the kids start asking when I'll have the new one made a son as November hits! Lol. I always include a piece of paper that says some kind of special thing that we'll do that day as a family, such as baking cookies, looking at lights, etc. The kids take turns on who's day it is to open the advent. This year, I'll include my son's girlfriend in that rotation. I think she'll really enjoy that. 😊 I loved seeing all your ideas. They are so cute. This year, I want to make my sister one for her and her husband and I think I'll use one of your ideas for that gift, but I'm not sure which one yet. Thank you so much! Advent calendars are seriously one of my favorite things! 💗🎄
I have done a Book Advent for my son, each day he got a new book. I have put together book advents for 24 days for friends and 12 days for my son. He was 2 at the time and 24 would have been overwhelming. So much fun though.
So many great ideas! We have a simple cloth one I purchased from Christian Book years ago. You just move the heart from one pocket to the next as you count down the days. This year we're adding a lego Harry Potter advent calendar.
That's so fun Heather. I got my 17 year old son and 14 year old daughter new advent calendars this year. Funko Harry Potter figures for my daughter and Lego Star Wars for my son.
They’re all great! I like the one with the little paper sacs and the cup one simply bc you could fit some nice treats or toys in those cups! The cups would be a nice idea at work! Lol adults are really kids at heart 😉
Hi Cindy! Oh this is a tough call.....The snowman alone was my very favorite snowman of all time! The amount of detail was so good. So the snowman countdown and then the Christmas tree with the blocks (dice) was my 2nd favorite. Thank you so much and I am really looking forward to your next one. Thank you Cindy!!
We never had an advent calendar when I was growing up. I especially liked the wooden board calendar you created first. What a wonderful idea with the shelves for an ornament, figurine, any chatski to mark the days until Christmas. Thank you for your tutorials!! Stay well.🌲👍🏻❤️
Really cute! When my kids were little I made green foil trees and glued Hershey kisses to count the days. They each had their own tree and got to eat a kiss after dinner each day. Also had a calendar from Avon with pockets and would move a little mouse into pocket each day. They took turns moving the mouse. Love your chalkboard snowman one best! 👍🏻💕🎄
They’re all great! My favorite is the snowman, but the cups are adorable as well. Thank you for this beautiful talent that you have been given. Have a great week
We do a Jesse Tree that shows symbols of Jesus ancestry. We make the symbols after Thanksgiving dinner and our children hang one each day on the tree & reads Bible verse that goes with it.
Loved them all. My favorites were the trees and the snowman. Super cute. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait til next Sunday for part 2😀 hope u have a great week.
Good afternoon, I think the one I like the best not to say all of them were great but I think the 1 with the frame using The close pins I'm really like that idea some might try to make that 1 I'll try to post if I make it
My favorites are the snowman & the little sacks.

Thank you. Was I right that they started in Germany
@@monarchmomdiy I believe you are correct! I was not taught that growing up but I think I remember a story on it where they mentioned Germany.
I loved all of them but particularly, the one where the foam dies turn. I also liked the frame with the clothesline. I would include a Bible verse... Tfs ❤
