    Hi Bob, I bought the legend elite and I love it. I set it up upside down, not because I'm a tall person, but because the 1st stage is more protected this way, less prone to bumps and other types of damage. I also use a transmitter and an SPG hose for backup, and the slight angle the high pressure ports have don't make any significant difference. So for me, this is the right way to go. Thank you for your great insights, as always.

      Pedro your insight based on your experience is much appreciated. Even your mention of the transmitter mounted on it. Regards Bob C

    This is awesome!! Love your video!! I bought this reg and have been diving with it for a some months in the original configuration. Recently went to finish my AOW in Mexico and my instructor who is a hardcore cave diver was chequing out the reg, he took it and switched backwards, because he said this way is more streamlined and protected as we were diving in Cenotes. From my experience you both are right (me being a short guy) this was extremely uncomfortable the other way, as it was always bumping my head with the first stage. Amazing how smart minds think alike. (Talking about you and my instructor 😅 cause it never occured to me lol) Cheers!

      Thanks much Andy. Sometimes,I make a simple suggestion (nothing Earth shaking) and I get a look like, "really ? why hasn't someone told that to me before".

    I have the legend elite and mount it upside down which allows me to get the tank higher on my back to get in a good horizontal trim without “heavy feet”.

    Upside down appears to put more stress on the high pressure hoses (spg hose is now pointed up and then has to bend back down to go under my arm).

      I think maybe the term "Bend" would be a bit of an over reach.. you did watch this ???

      It’s not at all pointed up, but a very slight angle. I don’t see my hose stressed at all and I don’t even have a hose protector on it yet🤷‍♂️.

    Hey BOB,
    Buddy, as a Diver who often dives doubles I would love to see 🙈 a Video of your favorite doubles gear and your favorite way to mount/use them also (Doubles on the back with 2 separate 1st and 2nd stage regs or one set of regs with a manifold or do you prefer to carry 2 side mount tank's" what do you prefer and why? ? ?

      These days if needed, it'd be a Recreational Side Mount system with either two Steel 50's or 71's... Why, I can disconnect them, hand them off and climb the ladder with ease... My days of Back Dbls is long past... if I did it'd be a Manifold setup. Today I mostly dive a 100 or 117, sometimes just a 71..

    Moreover, using a DIN first stage mounted upside-down yields even more head-room.

    • @DiversSupplyYT
      @DiversSupplyYT  Год назад

      You are correct Dar, the DIN fitting mounts into the valve vs the Yoke saddle taking up space. Thanks for your note DR. Bob C

      @@DiversSupplyYT Hi Bob, thank you for all your video. I learn so much with them.
      I just bought this first stage but the DIN version. I am planning to use it upside down. Do you think it will work and not collide with the top of the cylinder ? With your Yoke version the space between the bottom of the first stage and the cylinder looks small.
      Thank you in advance for your answer (beginner here :)

    Bob, just received mine from you guys. The way mine is set up, its an upside down mount and the second stage is in the rear port and octo in the front port. Is it cool to swap them around, as the octo is longer and my second stage seems ever so slightly short?

    • @DiversSupplyYT
      @DiversSupplyYT  2 года назад +1

      Yes sir, No Problem moving Octo to the rear most port/ primary toward front. Regards Bob C

    What opinion do you have about mares 82x regulator. I think it can be mounted equal, up or down, right? Thanks

    • @DiversSupplyYT
      @DiversSupplyYT  2 года назад

      The 82X can be mounted either way, turret Up or Down.. the HP ports are angled but there's no problem with them.
