- The plaintiff says her neighbor’s dog dug a hole through their shared fence and bit her canine. The plaintiff’s dog required surgery, so she is suing the defendant for the bill. The defendant denies owing because she says there is no way her dog could fit under the fence.

Always find it funny when they leave their bags on their shoulder like waiting at the bus stop😂😂
Maybe, her purse was robbed once, and now unconsciously wears it at all times.
i think that is kinda funny too...I have seen a few women do that
Lol
😂😂😂
I sleep with a bag on my shoulder. 😂
I can't stand lazy/ignorant dog owners. And there's a lot of them out there.
The husband would make a great ventriloquist: His lips barely moved during his testimony.
😂😂😂 so true
😂😂😂😂😂😂
the defendant too! her face or lips are very tight
Did NOT expect her husband to look like that 😂
I was thinking the same.. then he was Mexican, the judge had to say aren’t you handy lol 😂
Hardly ever does someone show up with a vet report but they always present the bill.
Personally rather pay three grand on a fence that will keep my pets contained and safe , while keeping others out... you'll find yourself saving on expenses in the long run...
I love the people's court.❤
Defendant should put up their own fence
If my wife is suing someone I would be next to her and not in the gallery like I don’t know here
So weird lol
The Plantiff talks with her eyes
That is a shocking bill for a 1 inch cut that had to be sutured.
There is a product called dig defence that comes in varying lengths and depths that helps prevent such as this. It is an easy install and a bit more expensive than chicken wire, but Just sayin’ 🤷♀️
When she entered her husband pretended to be just a part of the court audience.
These people who constantly lick their fingers and then go through paperwork, then give those papers to someone else. So disgusting. Why is that necessary to spread germs? 🤮
The defendant looks like a character from the Lorax 😂
The defendant had the personality of a rock…
Nope I’ve seen a more talkative rock lol

Both women sounded annoying
I love The People Court Reporting from California, Santa Ana.
judy would have told plaintiff look at me when you talk
Control y'all's dogs! Unless there's pure negligence BOTH parties should be held accountable. Especially if no one witnessed the act.
The plaintiff did witness the incident
Crazy how this had been an on going problem and neither would fix it until one of the poor pups got hurt. I believe they are both responsible for what happened not just one of them.
The plaintiff did witness the act and the only one responsible is the person who allows her dogs to dig over and over and over! Of course the other side should do something to prevent another bite but this is the nasty neighbors problem because it’s her dog
I never said THIS situation wasn't witnessed. That was a general comment regarding situations like THESE....🙄
Your "general" comment insinuated that no one witnessed it. 🙄
Resolution: Both neighbors build their own fences.
Oftentimes, animal cases come down to negligence on the owners part. It's never on the animals! Always the owners fault because they bare the responsibility, care and control.
Agreed! 👍🏻
💯
I agree. Also since 2005 Cesar Milan has taught us the dogs primary sense is "smell". At the first sign of fence fighting the litigants should have taken the dogs for a walk together, let them smell each other and they becomes friends forever. Peace. love and harmony thru socialization. 😃
I can't stand when a dog is attacked because of a known fence issue and the owner says, "It's their fence, why should I fix the problem". Grow up and PROTECT YOUR DOG! This could have been prevented so easily and both sides irritate the h3ll out of me.
Defendant tallks like a mouse. Annoying
I feel like the defendant didn't try to defend herself enough. Im not a vet so I know I'm just talking out my ass, but that did NOT look like a bite wound. I really think both dogs dig and that one happened to snatch his paw on something and got hurt.
The defendant looked like she didn’t want to be there at all. She just looked unbothered and was so nonchalant
These dog cases are so boring bc theyre so predictable
Same thing with used car purchases. So many!!
@@gabbylem its as if these dog owners and car buyers are going about life with a blindfold on and ear plugs 😂 idiots
I read this comment and thought bet it’s a pitbull and sure enough 😂😂
True but I like them so I can post some easy solutions. Since 2005 Cesar Milan's shows have taught us how to solve every dog problem. Obviously not enough dog owners watch the show or some other free dog behavior tutorial online.
Misery (defendant) doesn't love company.
That defendant and her mumbling
At the first sign of "fence fighting" both litigants should have socialized their dogs together by walking them 20 minutes then drop the leashes and they sniff each other. Their nose is their primary sense so it's not necessary for them to "see" each other thru the fence. They know each other by scent and are friends forever. Cesar Milan teaches this since 2005. 😀
Defendant talks in lower case 😂
Judge sarcastically asking is the husband there and the lady responding yes he is 😏
might have cut its paw 0n the corner 0f the bottom of the fence
I mean the dog could get injured by sticking the paw in the hole. My own dog just impaled her paw on our fence and I am not suing neighbours bcs their dog is the one irritating mine 🤷♀️
I really think thats exactly what happened
I thought the same thing,it happens.
I think so too.
Both parties should be held Accountable
Elizabethan collar, not lampshade. Or Cone of Shame. 50 50 split. The plaintiff's dog stuck his paw under the fence...he could have hooked his paw on the fence
That didn’t look like a bite looks like the dog sliced it on something. Defendant shouldn’t of had to eat this cost.
Ree bars in an X formation up against the fence hammered into the ground.
Defendant should have to do the chicken wire not the plaintiff's. It's not their dog doing the digging.
The defendant lost her chin somewhere on the way to the courtroom.
No one talked about the temptation thing? No one?
I don't understand why she ran next door, leaving her dog bleeding heavily, if she's an EMT why the hell didn't she stop the bleeding FIRST! then go knock on the neighbours door... I mean her dog was already out of the danger,
Yeah, that was weird to me too
JM ruled wrong on this. She should have split the bill. Both dogs were to blame especially when they were doing what dogs do best…which is DIG! And the plaintiffs dog could have injured his nail by digging too and his nail got caught on something on the fence or bent backwards from a rock in the dirt.
True, but being a responsible pet owner means knowing your specific pets quirks or issues and preventing others from having to deal with them. They’re your pet, not your neighbors pet.
But I agree that JM ruled wrong in this case. Different if the other dog dug so deep he ended up in the neighbors yard and bite their dog then.
The dog's snout doesn't fit underneath the fence when the hole is dug from the opposite side. When a dog digs a hole it has a curve/slope towards it, the opposite side of the hole is more straight down.
that's what iwas thinking as well..
Oh dear God the lazy defendant can't even OPEN HER MOUTH AND SPEAK. jeez.
The lady never provided a vet report only a bill the dog could have cut itself from the fence.
The nasty neighbor whose dog digs and behaves so aggressive needs to fork over money for yard repair and forced to install something to keep her dogs head out! I hate crappy owners and I think they need harsh punishments because the problem is anyone can have a dog yet many refuse to be responsible adults when owning one. My neighbors husky malamute broke in 3-4x when my Aussie was a puppy. Scared the shit out of me the first time because he’s massive and she was tiny in comparison. I’d let her out for the morning since it was cool and nice, come home for lunch to let her in for the day and see I had a massive second dog hanging out with my baby. I love this dog and he didn’t hurt her, he just wanted to eat some fertilizer I had in the garage but really he wanted in my house to be with me. His owners aren’t the worst but they basically abandon him in the backyard and rarely interact so it’s understandable why he’d want to move in with me. One of the times I came home he was scratching at the door to get in. Thankfully he didn’t want to hurt her but that’s rare for these situations usually. He’s since calmed down and I pet him through the fence and share dog bones when my two get one. The newer issue is several ppl on my street all have pitbulls that they blatantly allow out to roam and harass neighbors, attack dogs, I’ve seen them chase kids into homes, one broke into my yard unannounced and lunged at me when I stepped outside… I hate owners, they need to be punished severely as in jailed, dog removed permanently and heavy fines not just ticketed especially when they are repeat offenders. It’s not the dogs fault it’s they’re crappy owners but unfortunately it’s the dog that’ll pay the ultimate price if it threatens or attacks someone
Most of these dog cases , it’s really how the litigants present their case . Could be won by either side.
Main thing is one has to show that the other party was negligent.
In this case, one can say that they were both negligent , and one can say the neither was negligent.
It’s just a matter of how one presents the case , and who the judge deems to be negligent and at fault.
I think you must have seen another case or didn't pay attention.
The plaintiff had testimony from her other neighbour that the hurt dog wasn't a digger. She showed that the dog was hurt and received medical treatment on the day she claimed the insident took place.
The defendants own photos showed they were placing cider blocks in attempts cover up holes under the fence.
Then the testimony (which was highly likely to have been dictated to him by the defendant)of the grandson didn't match the obvious facts of the case, asserting that the defendants dogs didn't interact with the hurt dog is plainly a lie.
Remember these low level civil cases, its just a preponderance of evidence that a claim of fact has to meet, and the plaintiff easily was well over that standard, and in fact the very obvious hositlity the defendant shows towards her neighbour, showing she has a motive to lie, and she made no effort to try and mitigate problem in past clearly indicate she was the at fault party.
People's Court? I thought this was the remake of Sister, Sister
Two Karens on one street. I pity the other folks who live there.
Plaintiff is a low talker…couldn’t hear a word she said.
Be careful - you could end up looking like a pirate.
@@mikeyh0 😂 EXACTLY! Now I gotta watch that episode, a classic.
What bread of dog are they? A mutt. That was an obvious give away that they have some type of pit bull in them and she was trying to avoid mentioning that bread. For this case, it didn't matter. It's just kinda interesting how most pit bull owners don't believe that bread can be an issue just by their natural instincts and or that it's also the owner's responsibility to make sure that they're under control 'cause of these natural instincts. It was like she wanted to avoid that topic by saying that it's a mutt. That obviously didn't work, but it kinda didn't matter in this situation.
What instincts are you referring to? Pit bull breeds (American, Staffordshire, etc.) used to be considered the nanny breed in England.
I think most people with these breeds don’t outright say the breed because of the bias they have.
All dogs are capable of biting and attacking. Little dogs and other breeds can be just as aggressive or unpredictable. They’re all animals.
There are some mechanics who will sabotage repairs to get more money....😏
Putting up cinder blocks does not contests that my dog is a digger. It could be that I’m putting them there to prevent my neighbors dog from coming in my yard who HAS A DIGGER.
Why dont they set there bag down so annoying
Plaintiff's accent is too much lol
I put up an extra fence on my side where I have dogs on the other side
Why would hubby be in audience
Maybe is defendant had been less mousey she would have gotten somewhere. I personally cannot stand when a woman won’t speak up and join the party. So annoying.
A real life 90 day fiance on here with that plaintiff. Omg.
DAWWWG. Gotta love the NY accent!
Both should be responsible for keeping their dogs away from the other. If you know the other dog gets out frequently why not put up your own fence and stop putting the blame solely on them.
Just supervise your dog properly. Why is that so hard
Hard to believe the dog could get its snout under the fence and open enough to bite the other dog but, defendant didn't provide the needed evidence.
Rough justice. Not the right decision
She called EMTs for her dog?
No. She said that she herself is an EMT so she knew how to stop the bleeding.
Jacksfilms needs to be in court
How about this ..If you own a pet, LIKE A DOG, one species known to dig aka BEHAVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR NATURE....Let's just be loving pet owners and UNDERSTAND this can happen. Once, ok...two, three, or more than maybe a problem THAT THE HUMAN OWNERS CAN DO TO AVERT NATURAL ANIMAL BEHAVIOR 🤔
Defendant came in with nothing. Barely a voice. 😮
The plaintiff is soooo annoying between not knowing how to tell a coherent story and shuffling papers nonstop please make this case w annoying women stop😂😂
Build your own fence
I’d use rabbit wire instead it’s much sturdier.
Ummmmm...... Why wouldn't you CALL THE VET IMMEDIATELY after you noticed your dog was hurt??!! That makes no sense....
Owner: "My dog is hurt and bleeding badly! I'm going to run over to the neighbors and confront them. Then call my daughter over to see what happened. Then wait a whole day or two to take my badly wounded dog to the vet!!"
Just stupid people shouldn't have pets!!
Eh I think it should have been split, if anything. A known issue but you only care when your dog finally gets hurt.
But wouldn't leaning over the fence on a ladder to take a picture technically be trespassing, just like you can cut the limbs off a tree that reaches over the fence from a neighbor's yard right up to the fence line?
There's a difference between cutting someone's tree that hangs over and merely taking a pic by leaning over. They wouldn't be on their property so no, not trespassing.
@@Catloudan But cutting the branch by leaning over the fence would also not be "on" their property, but it's prohibited. Judge Milian has said many times that you have property rights from your boundaries on the ground up to the heavens, so leaning over for any reason is trespassing.
Pretty sure she meant to take a picture of the hole on their own sides. If the dog was digging enough to hurt the animal you would see the hole on either side. So you wouldn't need to trespass
@@Tinamarie10289 I think she was trying to find out if the hole was bigger on the other side, indicating that's where it was started.
@@BobBlumenfeldso planes flying above your property is trespassing? Huh. Guess I should start my lawsuit to United, Delta, American… 😂
Dogs are such a nuisance..
Anybody that could let $ destroy a 50-yr. friendship proves they weren’t really friends to begin with! Real friends would never let any amount of $ come between them. Money is replaceable, real friends aren’t!
Wrong video! 😁
Yep wrong video. But we saw that and we agree!
Totally don't agree this time. Maybe split it but...
german shepherd😍🥰
Cone of Shame ☹️
Is it dog week? All they're posting is dog videos
Cat litter will stop the dogs from digging.
Dogs eat kitty litter. It's not good for them.
@glenncurley680 yeah they eat dirty litter so you use unused litter
