"Love to hate" takes a whole new meaning when applied to Darkest Dungeon. Dark Souls is hard but you end up knowing what to do next and what to look out for. But this... This just generates brutal, like Mario Party brutal. Just imagine if they make it multiplayer.
one thing most people get wrong at the beginning is the idea that food heals. Nope, food is just to prevent starvation unless you're camping. Otherwise it happens just like here, where Dodger was using the food to heal one or two HP at most before the party is even hungry, in exchange of almost twenty total damage to the whole party and even more stress when they finally needed to eat.
SleepyFoX Oh yeah, but you use food better during camping, where you get extra health out of every piece of food. If you try to use it to heal outside camping you are just wasting it. Other than getting somebody out of death's door after the fight, trying to use food to heal is a terrible idea as we see in the video. You need food above all to fight starvation, otherwise they starve which makes them lose health and suffer a big stress hit. Wasting it on healing is just that, wasting it You did read my comment and watched the video, right?
Daniel García Yes I read your comment and you are repeating yourself for some reason. Camping is very limited in this game, often you can't just be greedy and wait or else you start losing people. starvation is irrelevant in this discussion because then you just simply didn't buy enough. Food is dirt cheap in this game, 18-24 food is plenty to use through out a mission, camping or no, and it's worth the investment.
I've found the only things worth looting are crates, sacks/packs, Weald carcasses (if I have Medicinal Herbs and was too stingy to buy food) and chests in treasure rooms. Everything else is trapped (or gives negative effects) more often than not and you still end up with a full inventory without them.
Most things have a use. Medicinal herbs on the dining table, bandages on mummified remains, holy water on urns, etc. I've even found two interactions which can remove a negative trait - burning the pile of scrolls in the piggy area, and using the confession booth point blank or with holy water. I think the success rate of interactions can also depend on the object and the character (a witchdoctor would be naturally good with the alchemy table for example), though using the correct inventory item will always be a 100% success rate.
Drake Sigar The alchemy table must be used with a torch so they can see what they are doing when making an experiment, same goes with the hollow tree (NOT the tree with spider webs) in the weald
a lot of the other things to loot need other items. some are odd like bandages on knife racks and bandages on spider web trees and bandages on mummified remains. in short it's best to test things on things to see if they give better loot.
played it for 2 hours. i honestly can't see why this game gets sooo much hype oO i mean the mechanics are decent, gameplay is ok. but it's nothing new or fresh at all. The game is WAY too easy, and story almost non existent.a friend came to me and told me it was dark souls (also wasn't THAT difficult) all over again, the game i so hard yadda yadda. i haven't lost one character in my time playing. am i missing something?
It's all a matter of luck. Some people can have really easy playthroughs and land crit after crit on enemies, other people get destroyed by RNG and have all of their attacks miss/get dodged while also getting chain critted.
I kinda get the vibe of old H.P. Lovecraft story telling with a mixture of interesting art and cool mechanics and gameplay is what really sells it. Of course each their own. (Yea Dark souls hella not that hard)
A game only needs good mechanics and gameplay. That and the music/style of the game are top notch. It's a very fun game for people that aren't familiar with dungeon crawlers, even though it may not seem fresh or new to you.
"And this is where everyone dies" is a great way to start a video ^.^
***** =^o^= nyann!!

DM mod. nuff said.
Make a Dungeon where when a heroes dies you hear "HUEHUEHUE" or "REPORT HERO FOR FEEDING!"
I love the narrator for this game so much.
Sweet, 46 minutes of Dodger having fun while everyone else loses their mind. Totally worth it XD
Imagining people applying for Dodger's adventuring company. 'Wait, you've lost HOW many people this week?'

I love the style of the characters in this game.
it's nice to see, that the description gets to play games too from time to time ^^
Watching Dodger continuously try to open locked chests and cabinets without keys is really hard.
This actually looks appealing , I will try it out , thanks for the heads up.
Voice actually sounds like the guy voicing the honest game trailers.
RedSinder's quirks make her sound like a vampire lol

I loved the part where she bought bandages, got bled, and then never used them.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you don't use food to heal.
I had the worst stressing character in darkest dungeon, on week 3 my highwayman wasn't allowed to gamble in town.... but could only gamble
Does dodger know she can unlock abilities at the guild as well as upgrade?
Syphilis is good -Strippin & Total Biscuit
man i love this game, wish i had more time to record
The screams of dodger dying (: muhahahaha
are those a pair of qpad headset? those look a pair of qpad headset
I'm deeply saddened that I was never chosen to fight for Dodger but oh well.
What about Drunkest Dungeon eh? :D
It seems like this game should be on consoles.
You need to put your camera in the top right corner. that corner has nothing useful in it.
sigh cheering for dodger will only bring me to insanity....GO MONSTERS END HER ARMY!!!! MUWAHAHAHA
locked stuff need keys
One view? Well. This is rare to see.
Snoooorrt
Dodger
Hey everybody, check out this video Dodger uploaded :
that was one womanly burp....

The atmosphere really ties the various game aspects together. If it ain't for you, then no problems. But it's SOOO for me, it's not funny.

Dark Souls is crap anyway.

What?
