      AW2724HF
      AW: (AlienWare)
      27: (27in Model)
      24: (Release year 2024)
      HF: Usually some kind of relation to the internal name of the monitor
      So for example the previous model year would be called the AW2723HF, this years release will be called the AW2725HF. Hope this helps explain why they are usually spelled out with all the random characters. (:

All these card look the same as the generations before (bulky, lots of platsic and metal) while nvidia managed to put a 575W TDP Card into a 2-slot-design. It seems the FE card, with passthrough only cooling, avoids this.

    What about coil whine? This will be the major deal breaker for many. For example, the 4090 Suprim Liquid has such loud coil whine, you can hear it three rooms away. The coil whine completely undermines the purpose of the silent setup of the liquid cooling solution.

    • @N8iveWarMachine
      @N8iveWarMachine 15 дней назад

      Mine had coil while when I first powered it on and went away after. I play on 4K and have a titanium power supply. Supposedly the type of power supplies play a role in coil whine

    • @kemalc.3782
      @kemalc.3782 14 дней назад

      @@N8iveWarMachine the power supply wasn't the issue. Tested several, two of which also Titanium certified. The coils and their housing were just of very bad quality, which was one of the main reasons, and the other is the very high power demand of those cards. Did several tests, had several 4090 brands on my shelf, I've even the "enhanced" coils from Asus its flagship models (Strix LC which also had the same coils built on the Matrix) and MSI brands, both of which were horrible.
      Also the disturbance of the coil whine noise is a subjective matter. Some people are fine with it, because they're not bothered by it. But if you're blessed with well and good ears, you might be more sensitive to such noises.

    2:43 What Overclocking experience? The card draws 575 Watts at stock conditions. Any OC would nudge it over the 12VHPWR spec. This spec already has a RIDICULOUSLY low factor of safety. I wouldn’t risk my $2000 card for 3% extra performance and the increased risk of melting the connector

      50XX cards use the updated 12V2×6 connector. If not seated properly it doesn’t draw power and it’s backward compatible.

    600Hz monitors allow for displaying cinematic (24FPS), PAL (50FPS), and NTSC (60FPS) video all onscreen at the same time at native speed. I think this should be the stopping point (for a while at least) for monitor refresh rate escalation.
    I've been predicting 600Hz, 16K resolution would be where monitors will reach their end point in those metrics (barring some new tech), now I get to see if I'm right.

    I honestly feel like the partners has really stepped up the design this time around like the 4000 series so many of them was so boring and made of plastic and then there where a few that looked like something from 10 years into the future and it just seams like everyone has taken those designs for this year’s launch. They look cool so I am not complaining about that at least

    I'm a bit out of the loop. Are PSU's going to update the RAIL to be able to push these cards with that one connector? Or does it like split into two 8 pins at the PSU itself? Almost getting to the point I'm going to need to run a 220v breaker to my gaming computer 😕

    • @nickmanhota324
      @nickmanhota324 16 дней назад

      You can use 3 x 8pin to the supplied connector in the box of the gpu to use on old psu, or use the new pcie connector on new psu's.
