Nate, this looks really delicious! What I really enjoyed was the walk of shame, not for the walk itself, but to see your screened in porch along with your outdoor cooking space! Thanks for the inspiration! Thanks for forgetting the salt! 🙂
Call it a Melt, call it a Grilled Cheese, just be sure to call me when you make these again...LOL. Whatever you call it, it looked amazing and I'll take CJ's half since he don't want it!!
YUP , I lean on the side of a melt call me nostalgic call me old fashioned but give me and old fashioned grilled cheese with some tomato soup 😊 But the melt looks delicious
I just made this sandwich, and it was awesome! I have never used goat cheese before. It was very good on this and it had a pleasant twang at the end side of the flavor. I will try it in other things. I added some black pepper and red onion to my sandwich. I enjoyed this very much! I am also gaining confidence with my Blackstone Griddle from watching y'all! Thank you! @ 5:53, 'Bring it around! Bring it around town'! Name that quote!
Yo doggy love your channel! Really dig the organic real chill vibes. I appreciate the channel, just can't get much or learn much from the choppy episode. I get it with all the extra edits. But man always look forward to your shows. Oh and don't tell cj but you guys rock. 🤘
Great sandwich Nate 👍🏽 looks very delicious. Maybe l would only substitute the cheese for some pepper jack cheese but really liked your idea of a sandwich like that.
Nate…. That looks Amazing, I’ve never had goat cheese but would definitely like to try it the way you make it, not sure if I’ll get to making it that way but definitely inspired me to make a Italian version of a grilled cheese!!! Thanks Guys for all your videos, they’re great!!
LOL!! - Our scout troop did the "Vindo Viper" skit at camp around 55 years ago! - Thanks for the memory Nate! You could also use cream cheese for those goat cheese haters (CJ)! Is it grilled? Is there cheese in it? - Ergo - It is grilled cheese! - Cheers!
I think if you have meat in it, it’s a melt, no meat….grilled cheese! Looks amazing! I’m going to start grilling the inside now, great idea, I mean we do it on burger buns, why not grilled cheese!
I had to do it. Google: - Grilled cheese is made with toasted bread, while a melt is made with untoasted bread. - A grilled cheese with meat is not a melt. A melt is a sandwich that is made with bread that has been toasted or grilled and then filled with cheese and other ingredients. There are two types of hot sandwiches: grilled cheese and melty. -A grilled cheese sandwich is called a grilled cheese sandwich because it's cooked on a flattop grill. - In grilled cheese, you need to use the right bread, but in melt cheese, more focus is on the right bread proportions, regardless of the type of bread you use. I say delicious, regardless on the name.
I always use a variety of cheeses but haven’t tried it with goat. And, I think once you add a meat or fish component, it makes it a melt. Either way, it’s delicious.
So, I vote this as a "Nate Melt", not a toasted cheese. It is a new level of flavors and needs the elevated name. This can go in so many directions, good demonstration for the griddle guys.
Goat cheese *IS* an “acquired” taste… But, once tried (or twice), one could grow on it … I *DID*… although, the qualifier is that I tried Dutch (Netherlands) “aged” goat cheese…. I’m first-generation (American-born) Dutch.. parents from Rotterdam immigrated 1956…. And, I speak the language fair to middlin’ well… Thinly sliced, it adds a tanginess to any cracker or sandwich… My 3.5 cents, accounting for inflation … YAY!!! Another Blackstone recipe to add the goat cheese to… PS: @ItsAPartywithNateandCJ Nate… the pronunciation for Gouda is actually with the “ow” sound, like how…. Secondly, the “g” is a sound like your hacking up a spit to expel from the throat… so “Ghgh-ow-dah” if I can phonetically spell it that way… Another note…. The cheese is named for the small town in the Netherlands, Gouda..
the difference between grilled cheese and a melt im sure you know this after your culinary school. The main difference between these two sandwiches is that grilled cheese is made with bread and cheese while a melt sandwich contains other ingredients too, such as tuna, turkey, chicken, vegetables and greens, etc.
I believe a grill cheese is just that… grilled cheese! When I start adding other ingredients, it becomes a melt. Either way Nate, we are trying that one you made whether it be a grilled cheese or a melt. Where did you get the creamy goat cheese? All we can find here is the crumbled type.
Nate, a grilled cheese doesn’t have anything else in it. Just grilled bread and cheese. If you start adding stuff like tomato, arugula and prosciutto, your making a grilled sandwich!
I’d say if the primary ingredient is cheese as in this delectable grill, it’s a grilled cheese. If primary ingredient is meat, then it would have been a melt. My 2 cents.
It's your sandwich you can call it what you want but, not what I would consider a grilled cheese. Closer to a ham and cheese and then you add tomato and arugula, I don't know. If you were to serve that to me without a name I would think "melt" as well.
You can put whatever you want on a sandwich and call it whatever the hell you wanna argue about. But when it's bread and butter toasted with cheese in a pan or on a flat top....you all have been lied to. Its a pan fried cheese sandwich/griddle cheese sandwich. No way or another was this ever a grilled cheese.

Lemon and goat cheese together is off the charts delicious. May have to try this one!
That looks fantastic. Nice. I'm trying this for football season on the Blackstone outside with the television. Thanks.
Nate, this looks really delicious! What I really enjoyed was the walk of shame, not for the walk itself, but to see your screened in porch along with your outdoor cooking space! Thanks for the inspiration! Thanks for forgetting the salt! 🙂
I remember the Vindow Viper. He’s here to Vash and Vipe the Vindows
That's an over-the-top grilled cheese Nate! Looks delicious.
Call it a Melt, call it a Grilled Cheese, just be sure to call me when you make these again...LOL. Whatever you call it, it looked amazing and I'll take CJ's half since he don't want it!!
No goat cheese ever. American, provolone and extra sharp cheddar.
Agreed I am a sharp cheddar kinda guy
YUP , I lean on the side of a melt call me nostalgic call me old fashioned but give me and old fashioned grilled cheese with some tomato soup 😊
But the melt looks delicious
Haha.. That's the way I always eat mine
Absolutely stunning and thanks for elevating this sandwich with the goat cheese for the discernable palates in your audience. Thanks for sharing.
I never thought to butter and toast up the inside of the bread. Great idea!!

Great sandwich Nate 👍🏽 looks very delicious. Maybe l would only substitute the cheese for some pepper jack cheese but really liked your idea of a sandwich like that.
I agree to sub the goat cheese with pepper jack cheese…….now that gets my vote….nicely done mate a new item to add to my griddling cook list!
Nicely elevated Grilled Cheese, Chef Nate!!! That walk of shame though...........🤣🤣
You just stay awesome, Nate! You never disappoint my bro!
Cheers! 🌴🍹🌴
I said delicious before you said it!!🤣 That’s some tasty lookin Vittles!! See ya in a couple weeks!!
Nice GI Joe reference with the "Viper" "I've come to vipe your windows."
That looks yummy Love this recipe great job !
Wow guys, can't wait to do this one. I have always taken that extra 'toast the inside' step. Want to do it on the griddle next.
Looks delicious. Now I need to find the soft/whipped goat cheese.
I call it an upscale grilled cheese.
Nate…. That looks Amazing, I’ve never had goat cheese but would definitely like to try it the way you make it, not sure if I’ll get to making it that way but definitely inspired me to make a Italian version of a grilled cheese!!! Thanks Guys for all your videos, they’re great!!
Put with homemade tomato soup and pickle wedges for the best.
I think it’s a melt, but the goat cheese made it an awesome melt! Great job Nathan!!!
Buttered interior is Spot - On Delish !
Fun 🤩 Recipe …… Cilantro and Sprouts would run well also !
- Cheers!
Nate your are the G.O.A.T. of blackstone did not lose me with the goat cheese. [never mind you did a walk of same]
Great touch with the goat cheese!
I think if you have meat in it, it’s a melt, no meat….grilled cheese!
Looks amazing! I’m going to start grilling the inside now, great idea, I mean we do it on burger buns, why not grilled cheese!
Is there a place that shows all the ingredients?
Niiiiiice! Stop teasing me, with that knife! 😀

I respectfully disagree with CJ on mushrooms, but I'm right there with you on the goat cheese. Oofta.
I’m not a “pra-zhoot” fan so, I would either omit it or add some Cento Italian light tuna in olive oil.
Lemon and goat cheese!! Delish!!
Gouda!!! Gouda!!!Gouda!!!
Bent u Hollands? (are you Dutch?)… sooo excited about Goudse kaas (cheese)…
Looks awesome. Goat cheese is really good if it’s made right. Some are more pungent than others.
The vipers coming was an episode of GI Joe. I sometimes say that and nobody has any idea what I'm talking about. Thanks for understanding
"I come to vipe your vindows"
That is something that looks worth making. I have it on my list now. Thank you. Crunch is good and so IS goat cheese! Thank you.
The homie that said “this is where you lost me and the rest of the audience” needs to get cultured lol 😂 goat cheese is quite literally the GOAT
Definitely grilled cheese. (Toasted bread is the difference) looks fantastic!
Vindow Viper is from Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. 😊
Great Grilled Cheese! Thanks!
I generally don’t like tomatoes on any hot sandwich, but I’d actually try them on the goat cheese melt!
looks fantastic now im getting hungry and i dont have any bread and dont want to go out in the rain
Grilled cheese or melt?? Either way it looks delicious. I know CJ said "naaaa" to the "goat" cheese, but I bet was a good choice. 😁 Good job Nate!
Awesome Nate. Looks so damn good. Thank the good Lord for no weird sauce for a change. C.J. can go pound sand.
I remember the Vindow Viper coming in a G.I. Joe cartoon

A melt is a grilled cheese with meat added. 🥪
That was an epic walk of shame 😂

Looks tasty bro.
NICE.
I’d say if there is anything but cheese and bread it’s not a grill cheese, it’s a melt
Got some Cap’n Crunch going on on that “grilled cheese”
And thus you have created a panini... Still love the show...
This is a meli trust and believe 😊😂🤓💕💕💕💕💕
Today on Chef Fancy Pants- Boujee ass grilled cheese! ❤
Nate, a grilled cheese doesn’t have anything else in it. Just grilled bread and cheese. If you start adding stuff like tomato, arugula and prosciutto, your making a grilled sandwich!
Suggestion for those who don’t do goat cheese… substitute with cream cheese. You’re welcome.
Nice
I don't care what it's called I love it.
Garlic aioli is the correct answer for sauce.
Yummy Goodness
CJ is wrong about the goat cheese...
Elevate it even more with an arugula pesto along with the goat cheese.
Goat cheese and Rucola, not for me in any case. Thanks for the video though!👍
You forgot the meat…. 2 small pieces… load it up!!! Lol
The camera guy 👁️🫦👁️
It's called delicious
I’m over 80 years old, and I had goat cheese once about 60 years ago. That’s what I think about goat cheese. 🤐🤐🤐
No one wants to live like you then. 😢
Lol, cj is such a little girl!!!
I’d say if the primary ingredient is cheese as in this delectable grill, it’s a grilled cheese. If primary ingredient is meat, then it would have been a melt. My 2 cents.
I'd call it a Grilled Cheese Melt! lol
That Grill cheese not melt looks awesome yet different, never tasted goat 🧀,we don’t have cow cheese so why they gotta call it goat cheese?
No goat cheese
Eh who needs a label when it’s delicious.
Lol walk of shame to funny they look good 👍
Looks awesome except for the goat cheese
Cj and I have something in common. You lost me on the goat cheese. 🤢
Anyone that doesn't like goats cheese, l'm fine with that ... more for me 😊!
It's your sandwich you can call it what you want but, not what I would consider a grilled cheese. Closer to a ham and cheese and then you add tomato and arugula, I don't know. If you were to serve that to me without a name I would think "melt" as well.
Looks great but no goat cheese for me. It's melt!!!!!!!
Ok. Personal opinion. I think when you added meat it became a melt. 🤔
WoW. It’s been a minute since we had a real life walk of shame. But….
Just say no-o-o to the go-o-o-oat (cheese). Na-a-a-a dude.
Once you used goat cheese it became a baaaaaaaaad (goat sound) sandwich. Lol
Nah dude, the vindow viper was G I JOE
I love how pissed off people get about grilled cheese
I’d say it’s a ‘melt’ because of all the other ingredients. In my mind grilled cheese should just have cheese 🤷♀️
Definitely "Grilled Cheese", "Melts" are for snobs!!
😂
Chalk a walk of shame up on the board!
You can put whatever you want on a sandwich and call it whatever the hell you wanna argue about. But when it's bread and butter toasted with cheese in a pan or on a flat top....you all have been lied to. Its a pan fried cheese sandwich/griddle cheese sandwich. This sandwich looks awesome. CJ cracks me up. 🤪
It's a melt , in my humble opinion .
This is a killer grill cheese Nate! 2 to go please! 🤣 Cheers 🍻
Melt. Hard no to goat cheese!

If that's grown up, make me a kid again. Butter, white bread, 2 slices of Kraft American. Bye!
No on the goat cheese.
