Decatur County...Bainbridge Georgia. Moved to Savannah a couple of years ago. Oh how I miss SOWEGA (South West Georgia). Saw Brent in Jax Fl. Open for Chris Stapleton. And I dint believe anybody cared if Chris came on stage. A few months later I saw him in Thomasville Georgia. And an outdoor concert. Then as we were walking to the car...ran into him and the band on the street walking to their trucks. Gotta chance to shake his hand and he was a humble good man. I'll be a fan from here on out. Crazy thing...not long after that. Started seeing a nice lady from Americus...and was floored when she told me she use to baby sit him. Small world...small south georgia country towns...nothing like em. And the talent down south is almost unmatched. Not only is he a great musician...but a hell of a song writer. All the best to Brent Cobb...and the band.
I'm from the Lee Co. / Sumter Co. Georgia (Lake Blackshear) neck of the woods. Now out in San Antonio Texas. This song reminds me of growing up in South Georgia.
First time being in Georgia, I'm driving through a bunch of little back roads and small towns on 341 and just as I started to come into Montezuma this song popped in my head so I just had to play it. Keep up the good work Brent, I wish more of them did good country music like you.
It's like the people from Georgia just hear it different. My soul connects with singers like him and Corey Smith. He is such an incredible songwriter in general but he has certain songs that make me feel like we are all part of this soul quilt. Yes a quilt. Made out of soul. And all these things he sings about and the energy behind the music ; these paths and turns and fibers we share in our lives and in our souls weave us together. I like to think there's a georgia soul quilt and a Tennessee soul quilt and a kentucky soul quilt and they are all woven together to make one big southern soul quit. Kinda got lost there but yeh that's how I feel.
Good ol GA boy made good in Nashville, comes from a long line of Peach State talent. Reminds me of John Denver. He has quite a few hits in Nashville for some big bands and acts. GET ME OUT OF ATLANTA, this place has turned into a YANKEE HELL HOLE!
Keep it up brent I remember while i was growing up listening to you on my neighbors porch singing matter a fact seen you a couple years ago at the chevron you spoke to me first then i realized who you were keep it up bro 🤘🇺🇸
Man, I understand this. I’m from just south of Atlanta and moved to Jonesborough for a year or so. I spent a lot of money in that old Chuckey country store. After I moved back, I miss those mountains every single day.
