Thiem sure hits way down on power in this session. During matches he usually plows through every single ball. I guess that makes sense on a practice but still the difference in stroke power looks massive to me.
im not saying i could ever beat either of these players in a match, or that i'm some pro-tier player, I'm just wondering what the hell was going on in this occasion. I mean i'm no professional tennis player but I've had better rallies than many of the ones in this vid.
They were practising how to accelerate the ball, which is tricky. Check the practice videos of Federer when he’s honing his mega forehands, he’s making many mistakes. This is why it’s a practice session
Bonjee this is practise and they aren’t tryna focus on getting the ball in. And what I find annoying is how people think pros are gonna be *amazing* all the time, whereas here they probably weren’t playing well. But the best players will be able to not play well and still find a way to win _in matches_
What a life a tennis pro has. Wish I'd have tried harder when I was a kid to be one as I'm sure I'd have made. I could have been a contender if not for discovering cigarettes and alcohol. I'd have probably been better suited to the 70's!
Figger Naggot holy Frick many it is definitely too late. As a tennis player you can’t start playing tennis anywhere past your 20s. Seriously tennis is such a physical game and you’d be beat up by the power and physical strength these guys have
khachanov is better on hard courts than thiem .. he should concentrate on clay and grass only .. the latter because he has a good serve, slice and feel for the game .. there are better players than him on hard .. 10 or so ..
Watching this, my practice session today actually wasn't that bad
Thiem has a great foot work
How much Spin do you want?
THIEM: YES!
landscape is amazing)
Thiem-the right handed Muster.
0:50 wearing headphones; guy starts talking; quick burst around in my chair of fright trying to see whos behind me haha
Intense 👍🏻

not easy to inject power if you train with Kachanov who already bangs the crap out of every ball :D
Thiem always the the best man never the groom
REBS76 I don’t think he’s married yet.

I like Thiem but I feel like it's just a matter of time before his shoulder gets blown out.
it was his wrist but you werent far off
Is he using a full western grip for his forehand?
Semi

ryan_jane he's saying allez, french word
He's Austrian? and Karen speak Russian?
No hes saying sorry haha, hard to understand from Austrian accent. He isn't saying Allez
I saw a ball trying to sneak off the court. Those guys should get arrested for abuse. Dominate, is the 'Austrian Assassin's' real name!
Is this the Miami Open
indian wells
There are zero, I repeat.... ZERO mountains in Florida ;)
what on earth was this? Id expect top pro level players to hit more than 3 balls in before missing terribly?
3.0 at best
Bonjee I bet your arm would bend if you had to return one of these shots...

Jeez Khachanov hits a big flat ball.
La técnica de Thiem es un espanto
Tu comentario es un espanto. Digno de un ignorante principiante...

And why can not you do it now, how old are you?

Figger Naggot okay fair point, I misunderstood.
hits up too much on his forehand. needs more weight going forward. good on clay but not on other surfaces. even nadal changes his
BJ12578 like he hasn’t considered any of this...
@@angejo5591 maybe he hasn't. Still hasn't won a slam. He's got the talent.
how many slams have you won again?
@@masadenteronan7281 same amount as thiem
BJ12578 daaaamn
however khachanov became pro is beside me...I can't stand pros with shitty assed ugly form and strokes.
He will kick your ass
Haha
Like gasquet?
such a shame that Thiem is a grunter.
dilluminatilair nothing like the bitches tho
That's where he gets his power. from grunting.
@Chandler Nelson nope... You don't have to grunt to "feel" the ball
