🎉Thanks for showing people who’s never been to the beautiful state of Kansas. I was born in Garden City and raised in Chanute Chanute Ks and have many family members on my dads side and my moms side from Kansas and I have heard about 85 percent of the towns😮and showing RUclips viewers the beautiful state of Kansas and the history. I lived in Kansas until I was 28 years where I meet my husband ( he is from California) he has several family members from Kansas but the majority are from California and Texas. His parents moved to Kansas when he was a senior in high school and that where we meet and got married then we had our daughter two years later and then his parents moved back to California and of course he just had to follow and I wasn’t very happy with the idea, all of my family members lives throughout Kansas, Oklahoma and the small towns around the bigger City. So we put our house up for and we moved the minute we put our house up for sale and to say the least I wasn’t very happy being that I had no family members that lived in California it was hard on and it was really hard on my mom and dad. It took me several months getting over being upset and mad that he just had to move back to California, it might have been not so bad but with him coming from a large family seven boys and seven girls and none of them were twins or triplets he they never got together with all of them at the same time it wasn’t like they all hated each in fact they were Mormons and I always thought with a huge family and their religion they would get together on holidays. With my family it was dad,mom, brother, my younger sister and my youngest sister and my grandparents on both sides, aunts,uncles, great grandparents we would take turns at Thanksgiving we would visit one sit of grandparents , aunts, uncles and cousins and then on Christmas we would get together with the other set of grandparents and etc. My dads side was from Salina Kansas and small towns around it we would make the trip then the flowing year they would come and have spend whatever holiday we agreed and then on Christmas we would travel to Dodge City and we would spend Christmas at my moms side grandparents and the following year we would switch but as our grandparents parents were getting older and they loved traveling and being that we had the biggest house on my moms side there were about 30 of us getting together for Christmas for sure and with my dads side we would still take turns. I can remember all the wonderful times playing with my cousins, I still have several images when all of got together wonderful memories and now that I’m married and my husband and I have two kids and we always would make sure that we would get everyone together for the holidays, like I was saying he’s parents weren’t into doing things like that, so once we bought our first home in California our very first home was in Chanute Kansas small house ( 1980 ) and it cost us 13000.00 when we moved out here I couldn’t believe the cost of housing we had to rent an apartment and I can remember thinking, my husband moved out here first so that our daughter could finish the last two months of school and hoping that our home would have sold which it didn’t so as our daughter and myself were flying I was trying to imagine our apartment and I thought it’s one of those coolest apartments with two swimming pools, tennis courts and a big play ground and when we got to our apartment I was kinda excited but not really excited I was expecting something like you see on the tv; palm trees, two big beautiful swimming pools and several tennis courts. They were really clean but it was bare to the wall nothing fancy, very small kitchen, one bathroom and small kitchenette and I wasn’t to keen taking our laundry to their laundry mat room, I didn’t like the idea washing our clothes after someone else had not knowing how clean or dirty and I didn’t even think about leaving our laundry not knowing if someone might take our stuff or take our stuff out of the machine and put their clothes in so they wouldn’t have to pay. Then seven years later we were able to get a two story house it was so nice but we were still renting housing was very expensive to buy then the housing market took a dump and then that was the time to buy a house while many!!!!!!!! people were losing their homes this was the perfect time for us to buy we here in Escalon about ten years or so and we paid hundred ninety nine thousand dollars and today’s value is almost half million dollars. Even though California has warm weather pretty much a year long the coldest that’s been here in Escalon are has been 35, I miss the beautiful state of Kansas you get four wonderful and beautiful four seasons of the day To be honest watching all the videos of Kansas makes me home sick, I miss my mom and my baby sister, my da, brother and my younger sister have passed away as well as other family members Please keep showing and share the history of Kansas

Lived in Ark city, KS, just south, it is a dead town where Winfield is doing great. Brother has a store in Ark City.
Winfield is a big city in this area. Many people are very friendly, not like in op ks
Crayon factory was here, so was a state mental hospital, all gone.
