Good video, well done. At 7:47 you say "tap the splined bolts...." to remove them. Looked really easy! For mine, I had to pound on them with a 4 lb. hammer for a while! What's the deal? Is my car messed up? I reused the hardware, for now, but ordered new bolts and nuts, and will replace them before any significant driving.
Did y'all by chance sell this mustang? I am buying one that has the exact same wheels, color, blacked out hood, and coilover set up. This one that I am buying does have a roush supercharger as well but just wanted to see if I might be buying this one haha
Hows ride and is it worth it to have it cuz im living in washinton state and cant decided either go for new shocks and struts or just having bc coils. Any suggestions? Thanks
I am doing this install and the supplied end links are way shorter than the OEM end links and they wont reach the shock body mounting location since the coilovers are shorter than OEM
Judah Olive hey Judah, you can put a jack under the steering knuckle and jack it up a little to load the shock and line up that end link. My guess is that you have only one side up in the air right now? When the car is loaded that way the sway bars will not line up. The other way to do this is to jack up the other side of the car to the same exact level and the sway bar will level and the end link should line up. Let us know how that goes. These end links work, just gotta get em lined up. They can/should be the last thing you connect before finishing both sides.
Do I need an allignment after installing these? They come with those camber plates already, but will I need caster camber plates as well for a proper allignment?
They come with camber plates, and if you want to do it the proper way, after you installed them, make sure they're on 0 camber, and then you should go to make your alignment, so that way you can make your own camber adjustment
Since the new sway bar end links are shorter than the stock one how did you get it on there? I reused my stock one cuz we couldn’t figure out how to use the new one
You may need to use a jack on the lower control arm to apply some pressure and change the position. If the car is on jack stands with even weight left/right it shouldn’t be too hard to line up, but the jack trick can help. It may also help to relieve load from the other side. It’ll work out, you got this!
Amazing video. A great explanation and the most interesting part is you did it with just jack stands. Wow
