Hello, I just received this exact kit that I bought off of Ebay. I have recently returned to modeling and just started using an airbrush. This model will be my first attempt to airbrush camouflage. If you have time, would you mind sharing with me your process for airbrushing camo? Curious if you painted the model with tan first and then overlaid the greens? Using paper masks? etc..... any advice is appreciated! Your model turned out really nice! Keep up the nice videos!
principaldrew I used my airbrush freehand using no masks. I paint the lighter colors first then go to the next darker color. I used a double action airbrush but I adjusted it so when I pulled back to get the paint flowing, it allows a small amount of paint to come out. This helped me draw the camo outline for each color and then painted the rest of the color patch.
MrStefanwest Thanks for responding! Not confident enough with an airbrush to do it freehand! Maybe more practice... I haven't started the kit yet. Are there any fit issues? Also, may I ask what paints you typically use for airbrushing? Primer? Take care!
Damn, think this is the first video of this kit actually built! Bought mine around 75-76 simply because I wanted the decals to put on Revell's A-7D. Thanks for the video.....and oh yeah, I STILL haven't made the kit.
I finally got around to building this SLUF! My first camo model. May I ask what program you use to make your videos? Take care! Drew goo.gl/photos/M5aw4mCsCzEzx8LH6

I use Alclad 2 grey primer with Tamiya Acrylics. No fit problems per say. It is an old kit.

Yes. This was on facebook also.
An EXCELLENT build, you should be proud. Am I right in thinking I have already seen this on facebook?
Most likely you have.
