  • I'll review this Gemini Porter E195-E2 in 10 categories.
It comes with Gemini’s standard black box packaging for smaller models. It has this special Gemini 25th anniversary logo. It’s very easy to open and has very good protection for the model. I'll give a 9. This model only comes with a small tripod stand. There’s nothing else other than this. The landing gear is not changeable. So, I'll only give a 7.
This brand new mould is very well made and accurate and is far better than the first generation mould. The iconic features including the sharp nose, the oval-shaped body, and the narrow and sharp-edged wings are all very close to the real plane’s. The huge wing attachment and relatively large fairings are also very finely shaped. It has also made the correct new squared off engine pylons for E2. There’s no obvious gap at the wing and the fin attachments. The super rounded belly looks very realistic. I'll give the mould an 8.
This pair of PW1900G engines is fair. It has a see-through core. Unfortunately, the fan blades cannot rotate. And, it misses to present a unique feature of this new engine: it misses the blue turquoise coloured carbon titanium inner rim right in front of the fan. So, I'll only give a 7. I'm happy with the build. The wings and the horizontal stabilizers are very well attached. The wings do not have gaps at the attachment with the fuselage. The vertical stabilizer is standing straight at 90-degree. I'll give a 9 for build.
This E2 comes with a set of fixed landing gear. So, you can’t display it in retracted gear mode. All the 3 gear legs are rather detailed. And they are way better made than the A220 or even 737 we unboxed in other videos. It has also accurately produced E2’s backward leaning main gear legs. I’ll give an 8. The major aerials and navigation lights are well made by inserted parts. All the small devices are accurately printed. All doors are finely printed. Yet neither the wing or the nose gear leg comes with inserted landing lights. I’ll give a 7.
Porter has a rather simple livery. All the sizes, typefaces, and positions of all the logos and titles are correctly recreated. It has correctly printed Porter’s title on the belly. Yet, there’s a very minor displacement of one Porter title on the tail. Generally, this little mistake doesn’t affect the appearance at all. I’ll give an 8. The colours applied here are all very accurate and bright. The printing of small markings and titles are highly visible and detailed. I’ll give a 9.
This regional jet model is very well received in the North American market. It has been sold out just within days. And the resale prices have skyrocketed. Since there’s not many E195-E2 models out there in the market, I’ll give an 8 for value.
I'll give this Porter a total of 80 points in my ARAIG Index.
