Thampuratti had come to our home a few days prior to my wedding. I still remember what she said while giving me a gold leaf having Sri Padmanabhan's image which she always keeps in her purse. 'I am giving you a partof my.. No, the whole of my heart'. That image is still in my Pooja. So grateful for her blessings. I still feel that God is in my house.
I don't know who all might agree with me, but the tone of Questions being asked is very much rude. Just because you guys got a chance to do an interview with the princess, please don't take the situation for granted. Kudos to Her Highness to being so polite and answering each one of the questions without losing temper. The quality of her upbringing is well shown. .

Travancore was not wealthy at the time of royals end but maybe the royals were. Missionaries played a huge part in education for sure. A credit to royals throughout was that they kept the state secure.
Definitely, they wanted to convert a lot of people at any cost, they know "Portuguese missionary's Inquisition" in Goa didn't work well, so they wanted another way ❤️

Of course Portuguese were the villains everywhere as they were using brutal methods. 19th Century missionaries did have an agenda which only worked in the lower class of population not even worked as expected with Syrian Christians in Kerala . Regardless, they have helped uplift the society as a whole and if it was done by royals mainly then we wouldn't have needed any service from missionaries.

The audience should understand some things, 1. Missionaries did it with aim to convert the person’s identity itself which is a selfish motive . Meanwhile Royals did it to protect the people and also was left minded enough to give space to people to practice any religion even during the strict era. 2. So called education and literacy is all on western kind of education. There are so many to study in Indic theories itself. If one day. India starts taking that into account, Kerala may not be highly literate :)
Kerala society was not advanced at all pre independence so can't say Royals did make huge effort for the general population in education or healthcare which is very evident. Missionaries were working on the less fortunate in the society and yes they would have conversion in mind with people in lower caste who were not in a great state during royal times. Currently Christian schools are still in high demand, any bullying by school authority should not be entertained. If the sole intention of missionaries are conversation then they could have done it during British time (They only did with lower caste society as they were not in a great state either). By the way, Spanish and Portuguese people's intention was pure conversation one way or another!

Why the interviewer is bothered about the Lord's wealth? Devotees on their own will gives the Lord many things and Lord may be attired with those when required. It was told by the people who took inventory that all the wealth seen there are contributions by devotees to the Lord.
Travancore had the dirtiest caste system, anyone who tried to liberate the society was killed ruthlessly. Tha dalava kulam incident is something that makes the Jalian Wala Bhag look inferior. The audience should understand some things,
1. Missionaries did it with aim to convert the person’s identity itself which is a selfish motive . Meanwhile Royals did it to protect the people and also was left minded enough to give space to people to practice any religion even during the strict era.
2. So called education and literacy is all on western kind of education. There are so many to study in Indic theories itself.
If one day. India starts taking that into account, Kerala may not be highly literate :)
Kerala society was not advanced at all pre independence so can't say Royals did make huge effort for the general population in education or healthcare which is very evident. Missionaries were working on the less fortunate in the society and yes they would have conversion in mind with people in lower caste who were not in a great state during royal times. Currently Christian schools are still in high demand, any bullying by school authority should not be entertained.
If the sole intention of missionaries are conversation then they could have done it during British time (They only did with lower caste society as they were not in a great state either). By the way, Spanish and Portuguese people's intention was pure conversation one way or another!

തിരുവാഭരണങ്ങൾ മാത്രമല്ലല്ലോ നാണയങ്ങളും മറ്റ് രത്നങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ അത് പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കണം എന്തായാലും നടി ഭഗവാൻറെ ആവശ്യത്തിന് പോലും എടുക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല എടുത്താൽ തന്നെ എല്ലാ ജനങ്ങൾക്കും കാണുവാനുള്ള അവസരവും ഇല്ല കാരണം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുള്ളിൽ വിഗ്രഹത്തിന് ചാർത്തുന്നത് എല്ലാവർക്കും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രവേശനവും ഇല്ല. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ സ്വർണ്ണം ഒരു പുരാവസ്തു വിലയും ഇല്ലാതെ അതിനെ ഉരുകി ഒറ്റക്കൽ മണ്ഡപത്തിലെ തൂണ് സ്വർണ്ണം പൂശാൻ അറിയാം ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ. കല്ലറയിലെ സ്വത്തിനെ വലിയൊരു ഭാഗവും തിരുവിതാംകൂർ രാജകുടുംബവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കിട്ടിയതല്ല . ദാരിദ്ര്യം പിടിച്ച പണ്ടേ കിടന്നിരുന്ന കേരളത്തിലെ എവിടുന്നാ ഇത്രയും സ്വർണാഭരണങ്ങളും രത്നങ്ങളും. പിന്നെ ക്ഷേത്രം പൂർണമായി സർക്കാരിന് കൈമാറേണ്ടത് എന്ന ചോദ്യത്തിനു പ്രസക്തിയില്ല കാരണം നിരവധി കുടുംബ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ പലരുടെയും കുടുംബത്തിന് കീഴിൽ സ്വകാര്യമായി ഉണ്ട് അതൊക്കെയും സർക്കാരിന് കീഴിൽ വരേണ്ടതല്ലേ എന്ന ചോദ്യവും വരേണ്ടതല്ലേ.

It was taken care of this family time to time amd maintained and even it was not communicated to the immediate family because they wanted it to be part of the temple and thats how it should be.
