Didn't think I would like them but I really do for all the reasons you mentioned. I'm a wide footer so I went a half size up. The lockdown in the midfoot keeps me secure but the fit is long. Hasn't affected performance. Feels very easy and comfortable to play in. Fast and light.
I don't like the lacing system. 😑👎 (I decided to wear a pair of my custom KD13's today. Probably the best KD in the last few models, as far as ankle protection, containment, and traction ALL IN ONE SNEAKER!!) 😁👍
