Remember that in the POTC, The dutchman has all kinds of powerful magic around it that makes it a force to be feared, But most of those were due to thee dutchman being a ship that was meant to ferry souls and be underwater. Heck it was sucked down to the bottom of a malestrom and took multiple cannon shots in the third. It is as jack says in the game "Thats the flying dutchman we're talking about. But on the sea of thieves, The powers the flying dutchman has already belongs to another, that being the ferryman and his ship. Tia dalma says so herself that jones has no power over the dead in this world, as that duty belongs to the ferryman. It shoots ghost cannonballs and your ship can phase through it like all the other ghost ships so that could also explain why it's weaker, Because Davy Jones hasn't successfully broke the veil between worlds to get himself and his ship all the way through AND it's a solid ship with normal cannonballs while we're in the Sea of The Damned during tall tale 1 so it would make sense for a ghost ship to be solid. Altho that makes me wonder how is it a solid ship during tall tale 4? (I'm seriously asking correct me if I'm wrong about any of this)
Doing this tall tale for the first time solo, sailing the sloop through the gigantic storm destroying the statues is the most powerful I've ever felt but at the same time never felt so small

Exactly! While I am still disappointed that they didn't include more songs, I'm thankful for the ones that they did include. Heck, they kind of did include some of them in the form of remixes. For example, even though "Skull and Crossbones" was not included, they did manage to kind of sneak it in by combining it with "On the Warpath" (those who've heard the track know what I'm talking about) Even then, at the end of the day, this Tall Tale was supposed to reference the ride, while incorporating characters from the movies, so we can't get every movie track. When I saw the Dutchman sink beneath the waves, the words that came out of my mouth were as follows: "Back to the sea, you go! May you rest... in quiet slumber."
I remember when my friend and I were fighting the ghost galleons on the 5th pirates life tall tale in our shitty little sloop when all the ghost ships vanished and that moment when Davy Jone's theme started to play we were a little confused on what we were supposed to do next. That was until I saw the looming shadow of the Flying Dutchman against the horizon come out from behind the fortress, towering over all other ships. It was one of the/or the coolest and most terrifying thing I’ve seen in Sea of Thieves. The fact that the ship proceeded to rapid fire 10 cannons in 2 and a half seconds right after is even better. Thank you Rare for letting me not just witness, but be apart of that moment.
Seeing the way these sea of thieves events are going flamehearts getting revived and a battle between jones and Athena against flameheart and reapers would be epic af

I know a lot of people were whining about crossovers, but I actually loved it. The story fit in better than I expected with lore for the Sea of Thieves. Then again I'm a sucker for crossovers. Hearing this play got my heart pounding.
To be fair... it's easy to understand Davy Jones and I do feel sorry for him. He sacrificed his own life not being able to escape from that duty for just a one single day of 10 years with his beloved... and after such a decently long period of time she didn't come. That's a real f###ing betrayal. I completely understand Davy's range and willing to destroy everything cause everything he loved was destroyed as well

I did the tall tale recently and at the end when fighting against and armada of ghsot ships i didnt know what to do so it was me and jack taking down and endless army and soon when i did know what to do a megalodon attacked my ship which i ended up killing only for while i destroyed the mermaid statues another meg reared its toothy face I never felt more against the odds in my small time playing the game on Playstation but getting through it all and then hearing the music while fighting davy jones and having and army at my side this time i never felt better SOT became one of my favorite games due to that moment alone

When I saw the Dutchman sink beneath the waves, the words that came out of my mouth were as follows:
"Back to the sea, you go! May you rest... in quiet slumber."

My thoughts were as follows
"The Dutchman's captain can't be chained by the hands of death, their will always be a captain"
"Go to hell squidface ! And take your cheap flameheart rip-offs with you !"

I remember when my friend and I were fighting the ghost galleons on the 5th pirates life tall tale in our shitty little sloop when all the ghost ships vanished and that moment when Davy Jone's theme started to play we were a little confused on what we were supposed to do next. That was until I saw the looming shadow of the Flying Dutchman against the horizon come out from behind the fortress, towering over all other ships. It was one of the/or the coolest and most terrifying thing I’ve seen in Sea of Thieves. The fact that the ship proceeded to rapid fire 10 cannons in 2 and a half seconds right after is even better.
Thank you Rare for letting me not just witness, but be apart of that moment.

@@nicojokelin5547 No, In a straight fight the ferryman wins, that's why in the beginning once davy jones has jacks treasure he escapes and employs the help of the sirens and the brethren to try and get enough power to take on the ferryman.
I was never really much of a fan of Davy Jones theme but this rendition of it is awesome

I know a lot of people were whining about crossovers, but I actually loved it. The story fit in better than I expected with lore for the Sea of Thieves. Then again I'm a sucker for crossovers. Hearing this play got my heart pounding.

To be fair... it's easy to understand Davy Jones and I do feel sorry for him. He sacrificed his own life not being able to escape from that duty for just a one single day of 10 years with his beloved... and after such a decently long period of time she didn't come. That's a real f###ing betrayal. I completely understand Davy's range and willing to destroy everything cause everything he loved was destroyed as well

Me and my friends the ending would either bee the 3rd film ending with the whirlpool or the 5th film ending with the split in the sea buy it is kinda lucky we didn't have either because people just sailing might have accidentally fell into it

Taking down the Dutchman is tough man. I had to flee 3 times to resupply just to take down the Dutchman.
The most epic video game battle of my life. Fighting for what I hold dear (the ocean) alongside the man I was named after (Jack Sparrow).
If I had a Time Machine I wouldn’t do anything major. I’d go back to World War 2 and install speakers on a random American submarine and have the captain blare this as he surfaces in the middle of a Japanese Convoy and starts firing off torpedoes

If you look closely you can see the sunken ship is the eastern winds jade and because of that I run the royal revenge Incase I ever sink the name fits it perfectly when I come back for a round 2
I did the tall tale recently and at the end when fighting against and armada of ghsot ships i didnt know what to do so it was me and jack taking down and endless army and soon when i did know what to do a megalodon attacked my ship which i ended up killing only for while i destroyed the mermaid statues another meg reared its toothy face
I never felt more against the odds in my small time playing the game on Playstation but getting through it all and then hearing the music while fighting davy jones and having and army at my side this time i never felt better
SOT became one of my favorite games due to that moment alone
