- Hey guys! This is a Cartier unboxing and review video!
In this video I unbox my newest Cartier timepiece: the Cartier Tank Must Solarbeat!
This is Cartier’s first sustainable timepiece. It takes about 6 times less water and energy to produce.
The Cartier Tank Solarbeat looks like a Tank, feels like a Tank and wears like a Tank. In fact, it’s basically identical to a gold Tank Louis Cartier. It is basically a steel, solar-powered version of the Tank Louis Cartier.
It is available in 2 sizes: Small and Large. The one I unbox is a large.
Aesthetically, the dial on a Tank SolarBeat is indistinguishable from a traditional quartz powered Tank Must.
The Solarbeat movement relies on the delicate and invisible perforation of Roman numerals, whose openings allow solar energy to reach photovoltaic cells hidden under the dial.

just got the battery version of this in small for the wife as a graduation present, felt the small had a more ‘jewelry’ feel compared to large which was more ‘watchy’ if that makes sense lol
hopefully one day will be able to buy her a panthere..
went for the ‘must’ line as felt the design appeared more refined than the solo line which they still had,

Congrats Donna! The watch looks really sharp. I’m planning on getting the tank must in the stainless steel while I’m in the gulf. Do you know whether the leather and stainless straps are interchangeable? I would like to have the options of swapping depending on the occasion. Merci !

If the leather version is about the same price, I would go for that one instead. I wish they used real sapphire on the crown. Makes we wonder why the price point is so high for synthetic spinel crown and a pleather strap🤔
Good point! It's always a matter of taste at the end. For the price, I get what you mean. If you get luxury stuff these days, you need to know your paying more for the brand than the actual stuff you're getting. Hope you enjoyed the video nonetheless 😊

Yes absolutely, you can remove the current strap and change it for anything you want 😊
Love Cartier(I have a Santos de Cartier)and overall good job. You do need to change the camera angles during the unboxing and work on making the image sharper when zooming in and out.

My pleasure 😊 No you don't need a purchase history. I had no purchase history in the store I visited. The thing I've heard though, is that this watch is not available often and in great quantity everywhere. For instance, there are close to none in my local AD in Canada, but I was able to get one easily in Europe! Good luck 😀

Hi! Did your watch come with a certificate of authenticity? Just bought a watch 2 months ago and realised now i didn't get one
The watch doesn't come with a paper certificate of authenticity like for the jewelry. But, it does come with a card that matches the identification number of your watch and a QR code to register for the garanty. Hope it helps 😊

Gorgeous watch! Unfortunately, that is definitely not a sapphire, it’s an artificial spinel. They only use real sapphires in the precious metal models.

Does the strap come in other colors? How much does it cost to replace it?
Sure, they can offer this vegan strap in black, light blue or light green. You can also buy a regular leather strap from Cartier and put it on this watch. It costs a couple of hundreads of US dollars to replace the strap at Cartier.
It’s a spinel, not a sapphire. And it’s synthetic on the non-precious metal models.

No, it's the Tank Must. Similar to the Tank Solo, but not quite the same!
I would not call the strap sustainable because of the fact that it has plastic in it. Therefore you can not recycle it.

Bought this for my wife, and look at her and wonder if i can stick it on my 8 inch wrist.
ABSOLUTELY 😍 That's the power of the Cartier Tank. It is so classy and timeless that it doesn't matter if you wear a small watch on a bigger wrist. Even Muhammad Ali wore a small Cartier Tank and it looked amazing. Go check it out! Take care 😊

Shoulda gone with the quartz...the battery after 16 years is undetermined and the strap is faux leather and looks cheap!!! Sorry but I'm just being honest!
No problem! You have the right to your opinion. As for the service in 16 years, I am not worried. For the strap, I get what you mean since vegan straps can appear this way.
