- This is the MEGA MAN X8 DEMAKE! It's a fan-made "de-make" that takes the PlayStation 2 game and rebuilds it from the ground up to reimagine it as a Super NES game. It's not a rom hack, it's an original build with some amazing custom made sprite work!

Having the weapon serve as an actual lightning rod is a great way to make a boss weakness.
I keep forgetting that this is a fan made game, it’s so good. Also I saw the heart container around the 20:00 mark. Other side of the wall on the left

If pressing right hits up it's the most frustrating shit when up is dismount (should be up plus jump)
Fun fact: that neck thing is reminiscent of a piece of real-world armor called a beaver.

Wow, this version of Dynasty (Gigabolt Manowar's stage) looks so much less frustrating than the original's.
It IS less frustrating by miles
And we chase Man-o-War on Abel City! which means we're in Mega Man X1, probably back on Central Highway
Am surprised he's still surprised by how much damage bosses deal in their 2nd phase... They've been dealing insane damage with at least one of their attacks in their 2nd phase.
I also like how he loves the mini boss fight that seems to do nothing lol.
I very much look forward to seeing how they implements the Elevator level/boss. Let alone, stuff like lumine, and sigma.

Today, in Mega Man X8 Demake, Jared forgets to switch his armor.
It may just be nostalgia, but I've always thought the X1 upgrades looked better than the rest.
But a lot less useful. X2's armor is just so much better.

Here’s a question for the audience. Which would you find more fun, limited special weapons that you need to ration or unlimited specials?
I don't mind so much when there's an upgrade that increases, or gives unlimited ammo. It's a reward for your exploration, and such rewards should be worthwhile. However, what I hate is when Mega Man games started replenishing your special weapon energy every time you die. That's way too lenient.
I never played 8 before, if this is accurate to the real game it seems to be X goes on a rampage killing innocent robots because Vile kidnapped someone he does not even know. Feels like a trick.
Gigavolt Man-o-War's stage in Mega Man X8 is a lot different than in the demake, and a lot better in the demake. in Mega Man X8, the stage is in 3D and it's basically an onrail shooter, shooting the boss around buildings until you actually fight the boss normally. But storywise, the demake is pretty accurate to the original's story but without Axl and Zero.
Also a similar case with Avalanche Yeti's stage where you are basically riding a bike in a straight line for most of the stage. So the changes that the demake made were pretty good.
Yeah, every dialogue with a boss is like "Gravity Antonio, you've gone maverick! I'll end you!" "What are you talking about, X?"
It misses a lot of dialogue between X, Zero, Axl and the navigators.
@@ThunderDragonRandy Yeah, Avalanche Yeit and Gigabolt ManoWar were easily the weakest stages in X8, this change to side view with proper platforming is *much better*.
I bet the other thingy in gigabolt stage is between the 1st and 2nd bike sections as there was a bottom path that you ignored.

6:10 This is a refencee to the mistranslation of the American versions of Mega Man X2 and X3, when X is referencee as Mega Man X or Mega Man, while he's not Rock (the classic Blue Bomber that we know), he's a different character
Alysson did this as a tribute to X2 and the mistranstalion that has on that game

You should play the Zero games. Same mega man, but with more RPG stuff.
And also some really stupid requirements for some of the unlocks. Needing to play the game almost perfectly, with pretty much no upgrades because of how cyber elves affected your rank, in order to have a high enough rank just to get boss weapons in 2 (and I believe 3) was just dumb.

Most of the game is okay-ish at best, but good LORD does it have too many auto-scrolling sections that just

After how downhill the series was going, especially in the case of X7, the main thing I remember about X8 was that it felt like a step back in the right direction. Still not as good as the older games, but definitely an improvement over the direction the series had been recently going.
Well that, and the cliffhanger ending we're still waiting on.

Is it just me or is there a bit of a delay on Jared’s camera when the Manowar boss fight starts?
i am a little confused, do you have an armor part that gives you infinite weapon energy or not? surely you didn't change mid-battle, yet i saw the weapon energy both being consumed and not being consumed.
One of the upgrades makes it so that regular shots don't consume weapon energy, but charged shots still do.

@@KairuHakubi Specifically, I believe, the same arm part lets you have infinite weapon energy as well as actually charge the special weapons at all.
