I love how increasingly esoteric the names for these randomizers and roguelikes are getting.
I really hope there's like...at least 4 episodes of this series. Having yet to watch past the first minute of this video, something tells me it just looks amazing!

When I saw that, I wondered why the Algorithm hadn't recommended the first three episodes to. I'm like, "Bro [I call the Algorithm 'bro'], do you not understand the concept of sequencing? Why you recommending #4 but skipping #1?" Then later I tried searching for it on all of Jerd's channels, and I couldn't find it. I'm like, "Why isn't it showing up? The RUclips search function is getting really bad!"
@@robertjenkins6132 The RUclips algorithm is a huge fan of Star Wars, and appreciates its numbering conventions.

Link to the Past!!!!!!!! ooof that first run was rough. When he left the shop with enough money leftover to buy the magic potion, I was yelling "Nooooo! The Heart Ring! You have So much healing potental!" ... And then he forgets all about it during the boss and dies really quick.
Well, he kept walking in to the easily avoided boss enemies lol so it was pretty obvious he wasn't thinking.
I really hope this series gets to at least 4 episodes.
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that when attaching any Hyrule knights in LttP, you have to aim for their shields, because they block with their weapons.
Nothing wrong with that at all. Many Zelda games prove that shields in Hyrule can only block projectiles. They're useless against swords.

I wasn't sure what this would be when the video started, but It got more engaging as you progressed (except when wandering around in the dark-sure, it's cool that braziers don't automatically light the whole room, but I'm not a fan of game design where you depend on the player getting lost without a map). Although frustrating when missing the kinstone pieces, I think it's cool how Minish Cap was represented. It makes me wonder what else is included.
I'd love to see more of this. :)
Ahh, the machete release order. For once, I got into a fangame before Jared put it on the channel! (his game is beating me silly. i want for spin attack and holding the sword to test walls SO bad)
IIRC, according to one of speedrunner Grand PooBear's more recent Dungeons of Infinity main channel playthrough videos, the dev supposedly said that spin attack was in the works for a future update (after 1.0.9) but I don't remember if it's simply gonna be limited to the regular spin attack or if it's also gonna include the hurricane spin from the GBA Link to the Past.
Jerd... if this is all your channel turns into, im all for it. didnt get to see part 4 from yesterday, but love episode one. cant wait to play myself ^^ keep doing you mate.

"Zelda rouge like" - AFAIK there aren't any characters in Zelda lore like Rouge the Bat, so you probably meant to spell the word "rogue like" correctly instead. ;)

10 Arrows: Hello Jared.
It's a very well made roguelike marred by some strange design choises and an *abysmal* final boss. I've yet to see a positive reaction to that guy.
Glad to see you having fun with this! It's definitely a brutal roguelike, but man is it a good time!
Mismatched hat and tunic makes Lunk seem more fashion savvy than typical.
Unlike Ultimate Trial, this is *actually* a Roguelike.

I'm fine with a dungeons of infinity only channel as long as we get two episodes a day of it haha, it's super fun!

There’s a Zelda 2 remake. I can’t remember if Jared played it. It looks like the original game, but adds onto it and fixes some of the problems. Changes fairy spell to something hilarious instead lol

I haven't finished The Minish Cap either. I think trying to find all of the kinstones played a big part in that. 😅
I FEEL YOUR PAIN. I honestly wish I had made some kind of checklist to keep track of people I’d already fused with. It’s a mechanic that basically needed a Bombers Notebook style ingame record. Best of luck to you, and remember - it can be basically any NPC in the entire game that you’re looking for.
@@LynceusGlaciermaw I've played through Minish Cap several times and never managed to get all 100 fusions. Apparently 1 of them is bugged in a way, that's the problem of missing it. Getting the rest just requires you to wander around in previous explored areas a couple of times.

@@LynceusGlaciermaw Yeah, there's forum posts about it, Reddit, Gamefaqs, etc. If you're playing a rom, depending on which one it is, you might not be able to do them all of course, just be missing that 1 annoying one which I have no idea what it does.

I really like this idea and I would play the hell out of one in a 3d zelda. the way killing enemies can remove the curses.. yes. makes you feel less like a cat being tossed around in a dryer.

I never knew I needed a A Link To The Past roguelite, I played a ton of randomizers but this, oh this is cool!
Fun! I’m into it. Future thought: there are a bunch of weird nes knockoff roms of games like Chrono trigger, and ff7 etc. you should check them out when you get a chance. Also shining force, but that’s a different thing

This looks fun. If I were making this, I would allow inventory slots to be kept between runs.
How about with a second currency? Perhaps boss madallions you can save up? Kind of the the system in Crypt of the Necrodancer.
@@sephirothchild Yes. My favorite part about roguelikes is that you get to keep some progress or powerups to make your subsequent runs less punishing.
From the jump I'm more willing to watch this than the n64 rom hack. This should control a lot better and should be less frustrating
You should definately finish Minish Cap, I think it is a very underrated Zelda game and easily my favorite handheld Zelda game.
