I'm a 63 year old Native of Colorado. The most breath taking sunrise's at 10 thousand feet! My Grandma owned the big house right behind main street in Morrison. Good times being a kid.
@@daveb.4268 “…where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. (dramatic PAUSE) I'm talking about a little place called Aspen.”
Rocky Mtn Uber Camper girl - I lived in Tiger 1972. I visited Breckenridge for the first time in 2010. The one place I recognized was the Gold Pan. Nothing else. No paved roads, no stop signs, no stoplights. Tiger was untouched, exactly the same except the mining cabins were all gone. In 1972 the bumper sticker said, " Don't Californicate Colorado."
The "natives" who say these things are just ridiculous. Living in colorado for 5 years does not make one a "native" Doubt you are a true native. Just like talking the shit to the ones who are not. I am not a native, but have had a thriving business here since day 1. I love this Colorado High Country money. Think i am moving anytime soon? Nope just going to keep making money off the Texans who keep buying 2nd and 3rd homes. Maybe they did something right?
WTF, leave it to a CA transplant to decide almost all the best towns in CO are on the Front Range. Sorry to be so blunt Mr. Briggs but you don't know your West Coast rear end from a hole in the ground, go back to CA!
RTLichable ::: it is you who doesn't get it, my dear friend. Let me explain and you will actually be happy with this video. If you've watched more of this channel's videos, and if you can read between the lines, you will know that Briggs himself is not a cookie cutter neighborhood kind of guy. He's like you and me. And he did us a great service! With this list he is keeping people (who heard how great CO is) away from the better parts and places of Colorado. Since the majority of people in the US and abroad have no imagination, are not adventurous, like to do the same old thing every day, walk the exact same walk with their dog every day, this list of Colorado towns is PERFECT for them.
Right. No one but long timers will get this. I used to do trade shows in ATL and NY and a few folks actually corrected me when I said Colorado the way we pronounce it. What's kind of funny is when a new TV news anchor goes on air you can tell immediately if they're from out of state. But I suppose folks from New Orleans and Illinois feel the same way, lol!
Ok. Most of the towns you named are the most expensive towns in the state. Don't think about moving there unless you make a boatload of money. Seriously, the normal person could not afford it.
Becky Hale....absolutely correct. I grew up in CO. in a blue collar family. I knew plenty of normal people like cops, nurses, mechanics, fire fighters, Mom and Pop deli owners, people who worked at Martin Mer rietta, Hewlett Packard, Telidyne, Kodak, Woodward Governor, The Dean and Principal of my high school, heavy equipment operators, the guy who ran the best steakhouse in town, etc. etc.etc. None of them could afford a house in most of the towns this guy listed. Stats don't matter if you can't afford a place to live...…...Aspen? give me a friggin break, movie stars live there, not normal folks.
@suny123boy1 There are plenty. I don't know what your asking really. My statement still stands, most of those towns on his list are through the nose expensive, unless your upper crust people. Most folks in the middle class do not live in a lot of those places.
I'm pretty sure you've never traveled west of C470. Steamboat, Breckenridge, Woodland Park, Blackhawk, Ft. Collins... Almost every town you listed is a "Bedroom Community", so be prepared to continue your L.A. lifestyle of sitting in traffic...
Yeah. Half the towns might as well be Denver. I live in west Loveland and Loveland and Ft. Collins are great places to live. I do agree about Windsor. Housing prices are going thru the roof here. I'm glad I bought when I moved up here 7 years ago.
I grew up in Buena Vista Colorado. We have the most beautiful view of three 14tnr mountains. And a kick ass community and tons of seasonal things to do.
@@adamtuck3279 Grand junction is beautiful if you love it dont listen to anyone else. Besides, the last thing you need is people moving there! Keep western colorado clean
As a native of Boulder, there is nothing i hate more then how crowded and corporate it has become and all the natives are leaving cause of it. I miss how Boulder was i the 90s. My mom moved to Glenwood Springs cause she cant stand what its become.
Boulder has always been a shithole. Fucking too many Yuppies, I mean yippies, that think they're liberals and leftists because they smoke weed, meanwhile trying too sell you a bridge in Brooklyn... But, hey whatever you have to do to get by in a capitalistic society, Right Bro???
Mr. Bosch lmao ya the best are what i call the "trustafarians"(hippies with a trust fund) college kids who will grow dreads and wear tie-dye but drive a range rover and use mommy and daddies credit card for their weekend binge drinking. Just another day in the Boulder bubble! I cant wait to move in 2 years, hopefully i can make it til then lol.
Chris Watson damn strait ! I see puff puff that train produces pollution get a diesel engine to do it ! Ok sure 2 million later tugtug it produces pollution! get a electric to do it! Sure no problem pot taxes will pay for it ! 200 million dollars later 3 coal plants 4 oil plants on line liberals say yeah I'm in a electric train! Don't forget the 50 million used just to mine what libtards want to make the trip more enjoyable ! Your conservatives don't come here to change the place they come here to get away from you! Enjoy the facts liberals!
I bet you money there are still more Colorado people moving to California then Californian's coming to Colorado IMAO Just stay there. It's not about traffic, we don't have water for all of you people. Just stay in Colorado its awesome there!
You ever been to Durango? All year outdoors, beautiful landscape, and a tourist town (lots of outside money). Durango is my hometown and I absolutely love living in it
I love Colorado, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Lived there for two years, and sadly I had to leave the state because of the cost of living. $1200 for a one bedroom apartment and people telling me I was lucky to find one with an in-unit washer and dryer at that price point. The place was well maintained, but it was old and had electrical issues. Rent goes up like crazy every year. Luckily, I didn't move too far.
SuperLastThing- I had to leave in 2015 too for the same reason. That was my home 😢 I had lived there for 26 1/2 years, raised my children there. They and my grandson are still there and they all live together because they can’t afford to live separate. I hope to one day soon move back. I ended up in NM near my parents. So at least for the time being I will be helping my parents when I can.
This is so funny to hear. It's clear you guys have had it too good for a long time because that is not that expensive - especially if you're earning a good living. THAT'S the part of the equation you needed to solve, not the rent part.
This video just came up on my feed. I live in Superior and grew up in Louisville. We recently had some catastrophic wildfires rip through both towns absolutely destroying over 1,000 homes. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as I am sad to say that while the landscape is not the same the people here in the 80027 are still as amazing as ever.
I lived in Colo for 35 years. Now I'm in Oregon (no sales tax-if it says its $1.99..ITS A DOLLAR NINETY NINE not $2.07) but I hear ya on the fires. We actually have full blown FIRE SEASON. TKes out entire towns
I was born in Colorado. Left and then spent another 20 some years there. Durango , my favorite. For small, upbeat town, I would add Ridgeway and Ouray. I lived in Montrose for several years and it is great.
Too many people moving to Colorado that I had to move. I wish most would visit and just go back home. Too many people with their messed up values have messed up my home state.
Wolf Brueggemann - Amen brother man!! I’m born and raised here (Evergreen and live in Parker) and I don’t recognize it anymore. Traffic is unbelievable!! Stay away pot heads!!
MrHeavyduty007 how about you stop using things invented by cannabis consumers, like the personal computer and the Internet. You're going to have to realize really simple things like there are more people now... not just more people where you are. There are literally more than double the number of people in the US than there were in 1950. Are you so unworldly that you don't understand that there are more people _everywhere?_
Colorado was the 8th highest state growth rate state in the country between mid 2016 to mid 2017. I do not think it was from Coloradoans reproducing as it was from people relocating to Colorado. Governor Richard Lamm warned us back in the 70s about how we needed to control the growth in Colorado. He warned as about the I-25 "L.A." corridor and told us Ft. Collins will soon connect to Denver and possible all the way to Pueblo. Most people laughed at him and could not believe it would ever happen. I saw many booms in Colorado and I cannot think of one that did any benefit for the residents of Colorado. It has only created more bitter feelings. We should be proud of our state and we should protect our state from over development and growing too fast without considering impact. We can improve the system but we need to spend the money where it really belongs.
Wolf Brueggemann - what concerns me most is our water. Where are we going to get more water? We’re a high-plains desert. Also, where has all the pot $$ gone? Voters/people of Colorado were sold a bill of goods...once again!!
Colorado is a awesome place to live for all things outdoors! There are plenty of great towns in Colorado that are small and affordable. While we lived in Colorado, we traveled the entire state and experienced it all. Just beautiful outdoor life!
I know this state rocks but we really don't need the advertisement. We can't keep up with the influx of new residents and the traffic is literally creating geographic barriers.
Colorado is an outdoor haven that every outdoor enthusiast will love. This list makes Colorado an even more wonderful and fascinating place to live in.
While I appreciate where you are coming from as I too am a native Coloradoan, you should think before saying this because well.... so many reasons but the biggest one is that you sound like that 1 educated person he was referring to. A man said just that to my new sister in law just after her husband got out of the military and made his way back home. I’m sure she wouldn’t have been in Colorado if not for him. What a great way to say “Hey, Thanks for your service!” It just comes across as biter and jaded.
Sheri Ylen I don't mind those who came here out of necessity or to start a new life, however I do mind the amount of people who came in the original "pot Rush" and the following waves of people only here for just that or to goof off and continue to problematic to the current residents.
Ya know what? While I understand exactly where you are coming from, it’s been happening long before Colorado approved the sale of Pot. You need to understand that is not the reason everyone ends up there, and know that reason before you make a broad statement. Ya know. I have learned the hard way that you should be careful about the toes you step on as they may be attached to the ass you may need to be kissing later.

You forgot to mention the 100 mph winds. A neighbor moved here from Florida to escape the hurricanes; they moved back to Florida after the third time their roof was blown off.
Lol is it really that bad ?? I’ve seen many houses for sale that say “new roof “ and the house was built in the 2000s! My home in Cali built late 70s and 2 years ago was the first roof change
He must have pulled statistics and pictures off the internet. As a CO resident since 1970 it is clear he hasn't really visited the places he's recommending... EG, Aspen - Definately one of the top places in CO (I lived there for 10 years). But if he'd actually visited, where he could have picked up some realtor guides, he'd know you can't touch a house for only "155% of the national average"... try 1000%. It's more affordable if you live down valley, in Glenwood Springs or further west. Firestone and Windsor are in the plains where it's hot and with plenty of flooding and hail in the spring. There are no views and they're too far from Denver for an easy commute, so jobs are tight. They are also in close proximity to Greely where all the slaughter houses are located. Nothing smells quite like decayed flesh and piles and piles of cow dung! The slaughter houses stink up the entire region - sometimes as far north as Ft. Collins and I've even smelled them on occasion as far south as Boulder when the winds are right. Although cute, Morrison is a tiny town with a few tourist shops, otherwise it, like Parker, is a bedroom community for Denver. Neither are able to support its residents. (Although Parker does have a town square). He also failed to mention Morrison's only real claim to fame - Red Rocks Amphitheater and the surrounding park which has a few heavily used hiking trails. (Mainly for tourists, the locals head to the mountains for recreation where it's still rural.) Again, this shows he's likely never been there - possibly has never been to Colorado. It's easy to make travel videos these days without ever leaving your armchair. But that doesn't mean they will be accurate, lol! 😉 I stopped watching when he declared "Fracking, I think it's great! It keeps gas and oil prices low ". He's sorely mistaken if he thinks fracking helps anyone other than the landowners and oil companies. It's fracking that will ultimately ruin this beautiful state. This is a fairly new channel with loads of videos about every state and city imaginable. I wonder if he works for someone with an agenda....
I've lived in CO for 40 years now and think you've come up with a pretty decent list here. Loveland, Longmont, Fort Collins, Littleton and Evergreen are good places, as well, especially Fort Collins.
Lived In Colorado all my life, your picks are all nice towns of course, if you want to live with the super snots...I have chosen a road less traveled that is without the uppity attitude.
joel mccoin Yeah buddy! Gotta get out with the flatlanders and then you've got good people and country living. My old stomping grounds... STerling, Akron, Otis, Yuma... 😎
I grew up in Centennial and it’s a phenomenal place to be a kid. Great schools, super safe, hella parks and trails, every activity under the sun, and friendly neighbors. I live in the Bay Area now, but I’m so happy I got to grow up in a place like Centennial!
Aspen Colorado at night time it’s something so beautiful to see with your own eyes. My goodness it’s beautiful and it smells nice outside too. I’m from Tampa Florida and it doesn’t stink over here but there’s something about mounds that when you’re there you’ll appreciate
Rachel Lee ... yes! we are running over with idiots cutting us off in traffic, getting mad for something that's their fault, in traffic, thieves at Xmas time, new people who act like they own Colorado, Higher rent n mortgage prices etc..
It's hilarious to see all the comments about don't move to Colorado, it's too full. This isn't a new concept guys. This has happened for decades all across the U.S. and eventually, Colorado will wither away and the crowd will find it's next home. This happens in NY, LA, Miami, Texas, loads of places. Just because you're subjected to one video and one point of view doesn't make it correct. Also, I don't think anyone commenting on this youtube video owns the State of Colorado.
I've watched Denver change alot over 2 decades. It's become a real city. @JohnBelz oh ? My childhood home is still on Fox street:( the city changed the house number.) I need my old house, people in it need to get out so I can move home. Lol
We are from Seattle and thinking to move to Colorado. Seattle is a great place not state income tax and people make good money, which also means everything is expensive too. The reason we are moving is that we cannot stand the endless rains and cloudy days in the winter and spring, but to be fair Seattle's summer is one of the best in the world.
In Colorado it's definitely not as warm as Seattle, but we do have plenty of warm days, and even more sunny ones. We have sunny days more than any other kind. But it would depend on what type of place you want to live, I don't care much for any of the ones he listed, I'd prefer downtown Denver, Fort Collins, Telluride, Boulder, or even Colorado Springs or Manitou. If you come here there are more places to consider than he brought up.
I love Colorado! Born and raised in Colorado Springs and I have to say being a native here this is a very nice list of some of the best towns we offer one town that wasn't mentioned that would be great for this would've been Winter Park, Colorado. Small mountain town just off I-70 great place to go skiing and snowboarding. Friendly atmosphere great micro breweries and breath taking views. If you're ever in Colorado and have the time make Winter Park a destination on your tour!
I recommend visiting the US consulate in Guangzhou, you'll want to apply for an Immigrant Visa if you want permanent residency in the United States. I recommend you visit the U.S. Embassy's website for requirements on obtaining an Immigrant Visa before visiting the consulate, you may need to schedule to appointment.
If you’re planning to move to Colorado, don’t! If you’ve just moved to Colorado from another state, LEAVE! People come seeking the vast open spaces and wildlife when it’s all being driven out and destroyed by everyone moving here! In the past 3 years, the population of my hometown (Castle Rock) has almost doubled. It went from >40,000 people to almost 80,000 in 2018. Go find somewhere else to live!
You know what's wierd about castle rock, is Pulpit Rock (In colo springs) resembles a castle more than castle rock could ever hope to. Ofc castle rock is more visually appealing, it's just not very aptly named.
The most amazing place I have been in Colorado is Silverton !! The San Juan mountain range got me big time. Have to say I lived 7 years in British Columbia. And as much as I love Colorado. BC just set the bar way too high for almost any town, anywhere !!
Ok heres the deal, im Colorado born and raised and i love it so heres the truth. Dont move here, please dont. Its stupid expensive to live here for one and the pay scale for most blue collar jobs is struggling to match up with the cost of living. Our roads are no where near "wide" enough to accommodate the huge influx of people who haved moved here so traffic is terrible. We can have all the seasons in one day and just out of no where so people from other states that dont really experience seasons have no idea how to drive here. Open land that had nothing on it or that used to be farms or ranches are being baught up and turned into big ass residentail neighborhoods to make room for people moving here. And yes most of you think us "Natives" are assholes but thats because we are being pushed out of the state we were born and raised in so yea we get pretty bitter when we see out of state plates. Get the picture?
Nick Burbach yup, thanks for sharing bro, mks me sad because I’ve wanted to move there but now it sounds discouraging, I’ll take your word with a grain of salt, if it’s all the same to you 👍🏼
What if you're a poor country girl from West Virginia like me? Am I welcome? I'm trying to escape drug addiction, poverty, WV ranks last in everything in the country.
I actually just moved here a couple days ago. Homesick but this place is good for me compared to back home. Please welcome me to your beautiful state. Oh and I can drive in the weather WV has no flat ground and we have pretty extreme weather also.
Thank you for sharing that! I'd hope that there are some people that would embrace some new people wanting to better their lives, without being a drain on the culture of what we'd be stepping into.
I got a snow shovel on my wall hanging as a reminder of wtf 5' snow in 3 hours! -40'F on a warm February day in the sunshine! Colder on a clear night! I got my shorts and my winter flip-flops on here sweating it out watching NBC showing the 3rd winter-killer Storm this year. Makes me want to go to the beach! It may be legal there, but we have discreet!
Lets see. Erie. Built on top of a Landfill. It was Boulders Dump for the longest time. Can you say poisonous gases in the future? The high wages? That is because everyone who lives there works in Denver or Boulder and has to commute to make money because they cannot afford Denver or Boulder Firestone... Nothing there. No shooing, no real restaurants, no entertainment, It is a bedding community for Denver. That explosion dude.. Was NOT caused from fracking. It was caused from a gas line that a Annadarko did not cap off right. It leaked and BOOM! Morrison? WHO you are really stretching it. And yes, They DO have crime. Parking lot for Red Rocks Superior... Right next door to the old Rocky Flats. OH you've never heard of Rocky Flats? It was a military chemical manufacturer. Nerve Gas, Agent Orange, Mustard gas.Platonium. Can we say Cancer? Windsor... OK not a bad place, if you don;t mind smelling Greeley all day every day? What? the smell of Greeley? Hog farms, feedlots, sheep farms. What a wonderful smell you have discovered there flyboy Aspen? Better be a movie star, rich musician, CEO or making 6 figures if you want to live there. Parker? 30 years ago Parker had nothing. Now, it is a bedding community for Denver Castle Pins? If you play for the Denver Broncos you might be able to afford living there Black Forest... DUDE, you are so out of date. What forest? It almost all burned down along with most of the homes that were there. Louisville... Traffic so bad, you might as well walk everyplace. You'd be faster on foot than in a car DO a little research!
Yes. And quit moving here, especially if you dont know how to drive. I can only afford to live in Aurora now. Will really Pueblo, but I want to be able to have a job
I know I am biased but I have to disagree on your louisville statement. I’ve lived in Louisville all of my life an traffic really isn’t that bad compared to tons of other places.
Oof Help lol Some of us californians aren't that bad. We work hard, dont smoke pot, dont use meth, have very conservative views and are really just down to earth good people and we have HS and college diplomas. The towns that are bad in COLORADO or any other state, such as CA, are usually where you have a high demographic of Hispanics... imo and a ton of observation... ijs
Oof Help lol Trust me, californians arent near as bad as the mexifornians we r getting in from south of the border.lol but hey there are some GOOD people in Ca who are sick of the pot smoking libtard belief system that's over run this shit hole leftist state
Don't listen to this idiot. You don't have to explain your self to no one. As a matter of fact number of Californians moving to Colorado is almost the same as people from Colorado moving to California. We are not happy to have them here ether but we don't brag about it. It's a beautiful. nature and that's all there is about Colorado. As you can tell people are backward thinking.
Have you ever been to Manitou Springs? The education is amazing I went there from pre-school throughout high school. It has so much history and everything. If you haven’t been, you need to go. In my opinion this should’ve made the list but whatever. Have a wonderful day!
Manitou is awesome! Love that valley there by Old Colorado City and Manitou. I agree it should be on the list. Pagosa Springs? Ouray? There are so many beautiful places. God bless.
If you go to Manitou eat at Adams Mountain cafe. Not if you're in a hurry and you might want to get a reservation but there's a very good reason there's always a wait. Omg I hope my last meal is their vegetarian burrito. Yum!!!! I have followed them to 4 different locations over the last 30 years and still awesome!
Number 4 was Erie. He mentioned the price of the average house is $400K and if you live in Mississippi you just spit out your coffee in your 1997 computer with AOL dial up. I lived in Erie for 13 years and a few months ago I moved to Diamondhead, Mississippi and I like it here more than I liked Erie.
Brian Muldoon i laughed when he said that. I’ve lived in saucier Ms for all my life. Looking to move somewhere else in the upcoming few years. Want the country living life style still though. Love my land and elbow room.
If you are smart and you live in or know of one of Colorado's more amazing towns, and you don't want it to be ruined by thousands of people moving there, then please do NOT post them in any comments. Keep them a secret instead! People planning to move to CO read all the comments for that information so don't give it out here or anywhere else.
Graham - I was in the "Roaring Fork" form '92 - '02. In Thomasville, up the Fryingpan. Bitchin' - but a hell of a commute to the Ass-burns area for work. I was a ski tech in Snowmass and a carpenter in the area then. Beautiful. But yeah -traffic, tourists ,cost of living - out the door! I won't say where I am at now...very desirable, agriculture rules. But hardly any work.
@@rahkinrah1963 Come on were now? I first went to Roaring Fork Valley and Snowmass in 1979. Snowmass, I loved it, the ski mountain, loved it too. Richmond Hill behind Aspen, is great too. I like Carbondale, Crystal River and Telluride too. Back them the whole state was wonderful and I was all over it. Yeah, Vail was not there, Beaver Creek, not there, Eagle was a little town, chuckle! Not going to tell you my fav in Colorado now. They do not want Californicated. But I live in New Mexico, love to visit Durango.
I travel from maryland to come out and hunt out in crested butte. Family has been doing it since the eaely 70s. Use to stay in gunnison. Then camped in the mountains. Gorgeous country. Never really got to see all of the town in either place though. Nice people in both places as well. Ill be heading back this october and unfortunately this will be my last trip for awhile ( expenses, family, need to find my family a house) it calls to me every year. And dont ever move to MARYLAND
@7:25 Windsor residents have an amazing view of the rocky mountains.... meanwhile the panoramic image shows it to be completely flat and devoid of any view of any mountains. Really convincing.
I enjoyed this video, even if I am a 6th generation Colorado native. I grew up just a few blocks from the Cherry Creek Mall in early childhood years, then grew up in a trailer park in Dacono, Colorado ( about 10 minutes away from Firestone. Firestone is part of the tri-town area). I love Colorado and I can't imagine being away from it for too long. It's home! I encourage others to come here because of it's ultimate beauty. But please don't ruin that beauty for ones who originally loved it.
I moved to CO in 1953, and it's changed a lot since then, due mostly to the kinds of places that are described here. All except Aspen are front range places, and Aspen represents the worst of what's happened to many of the mountain towns. Winter Park was the last to succumb, but it's been Aspenized now too. No mention of the Western Slope. Oh well, that leaves most of the state for those of us who like it how it was.
Absolutely agree with all you said. The ONLY town I agree with that was (back in 60s & 70s) an awesome town, was Morrison. BUT...much too close to the front range disaster. Just like the rest of the towns he chose.
What's ironic is that one of the towns mentioned in his "Worst 10 towns in Colorado" is Gunnison, which is a really nice little town. I'd rather live there than Superior.
The old Boomers destroyed most of the towns and communities in Colorado. Frisco, my beloved old home, is a now a retirement community for trashy wealthy assholes. It used to be an outrageously fun town with cool fun working locals, now it's a hospice for Karen and Darren spending their days being total shit to working people, it's their sport. Frisco is dead.
Wait, you missed out Colorado Springs, where I grew up! Near Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, rattlesnakes, history. I went to a nice new high school, took ballet, saw venerable old buildings razed to make way for raw new buildings....
Arapahoe Chief Niwot (meaning left hand) said the land is cursed because of its beauty ..the beauty will attract many people which will be the undoing of the beauty) is this happening now??
I live in Firestone :) my old elementary school is in one of the pictures and I live within walking distance of the home explosion. Very tightknit community. Great place!
flerp derp I live in firestone beautiful place and just a low population so it’s nice. I lived in Parker also for a little but I just don’t like all those rich ass kids. But What’s crazy is I’m right by that house blew up... crazy
Your video comments along the way were pretty hilarious!!! Thanks for all the chuckles much appreciated! And, I use to live in Aspen for a short time extremely expensive but breathtakingly beautiful loved every moment of the view of scenery and wildlife. Love Ouray Silverton Pagosa Springs and Durango
The worst list is going to be the affordable parts of Colorado where all us normal people live, serious discrimination for no towns in the western part of the state☹️🤬😡
It does have a lot of sexual assaults because of Mesa State but Grand Junction is a great little town. It ha the Junior College World Series which has seen players like Bryce Harper go through, the summer league Grand Junction Rockies, a couple golf courses, both the Grand Mesa and the Colorado national monument. Plus it’s all the small valley so getting anywhere only takes about 15 minutes, and it’s the biggest city between Denver and Salt Lake City so it has all the shops you’d expect. Adding in the fact of the summer farmers markets, blues festivals, and other things there’s stuff to do every weekend. Bonus you’re only about 10 minutes away from the annual headless chicken festival that was highlighted on this very channel.
Remember most of these towns are by Denver. THEY ARE SO CROWDED and expensive. I moved out of COlorado because the horribly traffic and cost of living. Now I live in the country with acreage and no crime.
I moved out of colorado because the traffic was so bad i lived 20 minutes from my job and it took 2 hours to get to work and back which equals daily meltdown
this is what he said if u don’t wanna actually watch the video

Too many people moving into Colorado. We have a bumper sticker in Breckenridge, " Ok, you got high, now you can go home!"
Rocky Mtn Uber Camper girl I love that
I’ve got a better one “Colorado sucks, go back to Texas and tell all of your friends”
LOL, we need some of those stickers in Fort Collins!
Ha this is so true
Rocky Mtn Uber Camper girl - I lived in Tiger 1972. I visited Breckenridge for the first time in 2010. The one place I recognized was the Gold Pan. Nothing else. No paved roads, no stop signs, no stoplights. Tiger was untouched, exactly the same except the mining cabins were all gone.
In 1972 the bumper sticker said, " Don't Californicate Colorado."
DON’T COME TO COLORADO WE’RE FULL. SERIOUSLY.
Miss Lee Amen!!!
Yeah we are pretty much filled up lol
Yes we are dude
The "natives" who say these things are just ridiculous. Living in colorado for 5 years does not make one a "native" Doubt you are a true native. Just like talking the shit to the ones who are not. I am not a native, but have had a thriving business here since day 1. I love this Colorado High Country money. Think i am moving anytime soon? Nope just going to keep making money off the Texans who keep buying 2nd and 3rd homes. Maybe they did something right?
Miss Lee lol fr tho
Thank god you just listed a bunch of yuppie towns and left out all the good ones.
WTF, leave it to a CA transplant to decide almost all the best towns in CO are on the Front Range. Sorry to be so blunt Mr. Briggs but you don't know your West Coast rear end from a hole in the ground, go back to CA!
The Chad exactly what I thought! It’ll b our secret:) shhhh!
He literally is incapable of doing anything but coveting yuppie towns. He is so predictalbe
You beat me to it. I was going to say the exact same thing!!! I totally agree. We need to thank Briggs for steering people to those places.
You forgot to mention Morrison gets 62% of its revenue from fines from speeding tickets.
I live in Morrison, and yes it is one of the worst speed traps, in town, leaving town to the west and along C470 watch out!
only 62%?
Lol true
Wow!!! Something to think about when visiting there!!
Lol For this reason, my hubby refuses to drive thru Morrison to get to Evergreen. Lol
Only people from Colorado will understand this but it bothers me how he’s says Colorado
Slim Jim yeah
Would you prefer Calarada?
Same
Slim Jim ikr!
Ok. Most of the towns you named are the most expensive towns in the state. Don't think about moving there unless you make a boatload of money. Seriously, the normal person could not afford it.
Becky Hale....absolutely correct. I grew up in CO. in a blue collar family. I knew plenty of normal people like cops, nurses, mechanics, fire fighters, Mom and Pop deli owners, people who worked at Martin Mer
rietta, Hewlett Packard, Telidyne, Kodak, Woodward Governor, The Dean and Principal of my high school, heavy equipment operators, the guy who ran the best steakhouse in town, etc.
@@wwsuwannee7993 I think whats hes implying is thay is all of Colorado expensive or just the ones listed in this video.
Yeah. I grew up in Louisville. Can’t afford to live there now.
I think this guy is a douche! Fracking is ok because it lowers gas prices! Wth nevermind the damage it does to the water and earth
Aaron Hanley i lived in Fort collins for 2 years and Fort Carson for 18 months
Aaron Hanley the cops in morrison suck too

LOL. But, if you want to go to a restaurant, movie, shopping - good luck. The nearest is Denver, three hours away.
Shut up!
I used to go and stay at Deer Valley Ranch near Buena Vista.
I grew up in Salida! Nobody ever knows about our little neck of the woods in Colorado.
Oh sheesh! Buena Vista, are you kidding me?! That's as bad as Salida!!
All these places are known as "Denver" to those of us who live in the 98% of the state you ignored.

Yes, Colorado is the most wonderful state there is. But stop saying it. Now everyone is moving here and it sucks.
Ezra Veno Also he keeps saying it wrong. Its Color-RAD-o.
It’s true. I like my town. I go out of my way of not mentioning it, because I don’t want other Coloradans to know where it is either.
Ezra Veno I agree with you...it gets so busy here.

Yes white girl i have at that lake had a bigfoot growl at me there lol

I love Colorado, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Lived there for two years, and sadly I had to leave the state because of the cost of living. $1200 for a one bedroom apartment and people telling me I was lucky to find one with an in-unit washer and dryer at that price point. The place was well maintained, but it was old and had electrical issues. Rent goes up like crazy every year. Luckily, I didn't move too far.
$1200 for a 1bedroom ain’t that bad, I’m from California and we pay $2000 for a 1 bedroom apt here
SuperLastThing- I had to leave in 2015 too for the same reason. That was my home 😢 I had lived there for 26 1/2 years, raised my children there. They and my grandson are still there and they all live together because they can’t afford to live separate. I hope to one day soon move back. I ended up in NM near my parents. So at least for the time being I will be helping my parents when I can.
@@millefiori6620 I know other Colorado natives who have done the same.

I'm a rail fan and Durango would be one of the "train" places I'd live in Colorado.
It has become TOO popular! Traffic in the summer sucks!
I was born in Colorado. Left and then spent another 20 some years there. Durango , my favorite. For small, upbeat town, I would add Ridgeway and Ouray. I lived in Montrose for several years and it is great.
Love Ouray!
Peter S - hit thy bong one more time Peter...laughable!!
The scenery in Colorado is amazing.

It's even more amazing in Utah.
NO VACANCY!
Philip S I'm guessing you hate every place in the US
Yes definitely a liberal
I know this state rocks but we really don't need the advertisement. We can't keep up with the influx of new residents and the traffic is literally creating geographic barriers.
Did you know Colorado recently beat Hawaii as the most desirable state, while D.C. was at the bottom
Many of the landscapes in Colorado are mesmerizing. It's easy to get lost there, figuratively and literally!
Colorado is an outdoor haven that every outdoor enthusiast will love. This list makes Colorado an even more wonderful and fascinating place to live in.
Stay out of my State, we have too many people.
You're Native American? Also, I'm sure you rent and don't own any of Colorado.
Yes half and I do own Kuma I have property in Denver.

The only thing I don’t like about Colorado is how much things are changing buildings are being built in the more landscapes of being torn down
You forgot to mention the 100 mph winds.
I noticed Colorado gets hail storms. Oh well it's still nice
I stopped watching when he declared "Fracking, I think it's great!
Healthy Aging I can smell the slaughterhouses in Denver some days

This is the U.S. and we can live wherever we choose; you don't own the state of Colorado.

Firestone...
Parking lot for Red Rocks
Superior...
What a wonderful smell you have discovered there flyboy
Aspen? Better be a movie star, rich musician, CEO or making 6 figures if you want to live there.
Parker? 30 years ago Parker had nothing. Now, it is a bedding community for Denver
Castle Pins? If you play for the Denver Broncos you might be able to afford living there
Black Forest... DUDE, you are so out of date. What forest? It almost all burned down along with most of the homes that were there.

I'm a native. Born in Eastern Colorado. Lived in front range since I was 5
I totally agree. This guy has no idea what Colorado is really like.
Rocky Flats only made Plutonium triggers for Nuclear weapons
I know I am biased but I have to disagree on your louisville statement. I’ve lived in Louisville all of my life an traffic really isn’t that bad compared to tons of other places.
This was GREAT! Thank you! Very entertaining as well!!
Hello John , how are you doing today??
Im a born and raised Coloradon and it is a wonderful state... BUT STOP MOVING TO OUR STATE! ESPECIALLY CALIFORNIA PEEPS
Oof Help lol
Some of us californians aren't that bad. We work hard, dont smoke pot, dont use meth, have very conservative views and are really just down to earth good people and we have HS and college diplomas. The towns that are bad in COLORADO or any other state, such as CA, are usually where you have a high demographic of Hispanics... imo and a ton of observation... ijs
Oof Help lol EXACTLY
Hold my Beer and Watch This ofc! I have some friends from ca but we dont need much more is what im saying lol
Oof Help lol
Trust me, californians arent near as bad as the mexifornians we r getting in from south of the border.lol but hey there are some GOOD people in Ca who are sick of the pot smoking libtard belief system that's over run this shit hole leftist state
Don't listen to this idiot.
God bless.
I feel like meth motel alley takes away from Manitou’s appeal.
What so special about that place, just little village.
Great Video! And Funny! love Your Imagery Edits Too!✌Thank You!👍🇺🇸
"__% of people have a diploma"
Me: who gives a shit
🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Yeah that's so annoying
Number 4 was Erie. He mentioned the price of the average house is $400K and if you live in Mississippi you just spit out your coffee in your 1997 computer with AOL dial up.
I lived in Erie for 13 years and a few months ago I moved to Diamondhead, Mississippi and I like it here more than I liked Erie.
Brian Muldoon i laughed when he said that. I’ve lived in saucier Ms for all my life. Looking to move somewhere else in the upcoming few years. Want the country living life style still though. Love my land and elbow room.
Erie is growing so fast. Getting a little overcrowded for me
If you are smart and you live in or know of one of Colorado's more amazing towns, and you don't want it to be ruined by thousands of people moving there, then please do NOT post them in any comments. Keep them a secret instead! People planning to move to CO read all the comments for that information so don't give it out here or anywhere else.
Pueblo is great. All you people in Cali, move there.
I'm with you!!!!
@@marcparkinson4118 ..That's funny!
Okay first of all u can't even say Colorado
daysha otero COLORADODODODDOSHVENDISGWBEISG*
Yes he can’t
I live in the Roaring Fork valley (valley downriver from Aspen) and everybody kinda hates Aspen bc of the rich people and tourists
Hello neighbor but that’s only Glenwood
I'm from Colorado and I'm from Gunnison! I love it. Crested Butte is great too.
Ana Marie Falk first person I saw to say they were from cb/gunni
I travel from maryland to come out and hunt out in crested butte. Family has been doing it since the eaely 70s. Use to stay in gunnison. Then camped in the mountains. Gorgeous country. Never really got to see all of the town in either place though. Nice people in both places as well. Ill be heading back this october and unfortunately this will be my last trip for awhile ( expenses, family, need to find my family a house) it calls to me every year. And dont ever move to MARYLAND
Ana Marie Falk I do have to say Gunnison is a pretty cool town
I grew up in Gunni too, such a pretty town, but Crested Butte was always one of my favorite towns to visit while growing up.
My son was born in Gunnison! I played football there! My ashes are getting thrown off 'W' Mountain
I get a twitch in my eye when I see a Cali or Florida plate, which is practically all the time now.
ian simmons you forgot Texas
ian simmons I get a twitch in my eye every time I see a Colorado plate in Miami , Florida in spring break or winter
@@osmanpineda6744 must be from Greeley
ian simmons i’m moving there from florida😭😭😂
I get Florida, but who would keep their car registered in cali if they had a place in Colorado?
This guy makes it sound like a highschool diploma is so amazing to have. I know people who graduated high school, that couldnt even read... True story
LMAO! It's like you think education is overrated.
Good video Briggs😊 I lived in Fort Collins when I was a kid and loved it.
Thanks 👍
My Grandma told me the story of Colorado before the dummies from Cali came :) (not pointing fingers btw)
I grew up in Colorado and these Californians are seriously killing me

I know im late, but what happened? Is there really that much idiots?😩
I like Aspen because there's no run-down section of town.
Money will do that!😂😊
Everyone: *looking for actual Colorado towns*
Me: *SOUTH PARK*
South Park is built different
@7:25 Windsor residents have an amazing view of the rocky mountains.... meanwhile the panoramic image shows it to be completely flat and devoid of any view of any mountains. Really convincing.
🤣
Terrible top 10. Coming from a guy whos lived here my entire life.
Dustin Peterson any advice ? I would love input from someone that’s actually lived there for a while. Currently live in TX
I agree as another native.
Arthur Che any recommendations? I really want to live there 😫
@@angelamaro91 don't go to Parker, Pueblo, Georgetown, or any ski resort areas. Just saying
Celestial boulder ? Aurora ?
Love your videos, and I love the humor you put on this on these videos.. my brother keep up the good work 💪 👍.
Thank you.
@@StaggerLee68 Love the Lost Cajun
I totally agree.
I think all cities are amazing 😉 thanks for sharing 🇮🇪🙋♀️🍀☘️
Wait, you missed out Colorado Springs, where I grew up! Near Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, rattlesnakes, history. I went to a nice new high school, took ballet, saw venerable old buildings razed to make way for raw new buildings....
Ellen Spear I’ve lived here all my life and I wouldn’t leave it for the world
Colorado Springs is a beautiful city but he has gone downhill as far as crime.
can you still do ballet and put your foot behind your head?
It's probably not on here because of how republican it is lmao
Colorado Springs is one of my favorite towns that is close to visit and enjoy.
Arapahoe Chief Niwot (meaning left hand) said the land is cursed because of its beauty ..the beauty will attract many people which will be the undoing of the beauty) is this happening now??
Yes
Now faster than ever
100 percent yes. Can't hike or camp anymore, the land is trashed.
I love the comments! Funny!
Lyons is my favorite town, I love their beer/rugby/dirt bike festival every year.
I live in Firestone :) my old elementary school is in one of the pictures and I live within walking distance of the home explosion. Very tightknit community. Great place!
the best part about this video is the part you talk about your cousin in castle pines heheheh
1. Colorado Springs
2. Parker
3. Boulder
4. Centennial
5. The rest don't even compare
I live in Parker and mine are
1. Parker
2. Lakewood
3. Greenwood Village
4. Highlands Ranch
5. Pagosa Springs Durango Silverton
Colorado Springs will always be the best option for ya
flerp derp I live in firestone beautiful place and just a low population so it’s nice. I lived in Parker also for a little but I just don’t like all those rich ass kids. But What’s crazy is I’m right by that house blew up... crazy
Colorado springs is a shit hole
Your video comments along the way were pretty hilarious!!! Thanks for all the chuckles much appreciated! And, I use to live in Aspen for a short time extremely expensive but breathtakingly beautiful loved every moment of the view of scenery and wildlife. Love Ouray Silverton Pagosa Springs and Durango
My beautiful town,
I am from the (CORA) Native American Tribe from western Colorado.👍🏾
Ok I lost it when you mentioned your cousin hating balls. I’m dead 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey Buddy
How are you keeping,
Where are you from??
I had to play it 2 more times, it was really funny how he put it. He should be a comedian.
Denver becoming very expensive use to be a great place now salt lake
City and Boise Idaho are gaining attention
Shawn Afshar and are soon to become expensive because of that attention
Harely Potokar - Yup...dems/libs have a pretty shitty track record when it comes to running states and cities.
DON'T GOTO Salt Lake city! U will end up in the court system in no time. With all the altitudes that are there....
Shawn Afshar Haha. Boise is having a housing crisis with prices going through the roof. Shows how much you know.
I live in Battlement Mesa, but I have lived all over Colorado. And I can't think of a better place than this.
I've lived in Steamboat Springs and Durango, and Still live in Durango. Wonderful state.
"unless you're just incredibly awkward like 50% of millenials" 🤣🤣🤣
I'm still laughing hard hahah
Awesome, I can't wait to move to all 10 towns at once!!
Thank you for the Video, Colorado is Beautiful.
Id say Golden should easily make a top 10 tf
I'm in Boulder and I agree with this comment
F' The Front Range. there should be a "lock on the gate" at Eisenhower Tunnel.
The worst list is going to be the affordable parts of Colorado where all us normal people live, serious discrimination for no towns in the western part of the state☹️🤬😡
what town would you say on the west side?
Brian Ziomkowski calling it now #1 on that list will be Pueblo
I'm from Denver and I've been to Gramd Junction before,I liked it 👍
There is a whole other side of Colorado. The western slope is way better than the front range.
HUSH!
Great review from the Cali residents who moved to Oregon
Who lived in Colorado for 4 years.
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Ah missed that part
Remember most of these towns are by Denver. THEY ARE SO CROWDED and expensive. I moved out of COlorado because the horribly traffic and cost of living. Now I live in the country with acreage and no crime.
I moved out of colorado because the traffic was so bad i lived 20 minutes from my job and it took 2 hours to get to work and back which equals daily meltdown
This list def doesn't come from someone who knows our state. Thanks so for leaving out my town. 💁🏽♀️
