I’m glad you didn’t mention the rock climbing area as well as the bolder area, we like to keep those spots quiet. 😉

New Englander, live a little more than an hour from here. have camped here many times. It remains one of my absolute favorite places to have a base camp and day kayak from. It can be very busy on weekends. Best recommendations: go early/late season (as you did), or mid week. Still people around due to to this being a large, well developed state park, but not crowded and much calmer. Peak season it is still beautiful but even with the large sites it still feels a bit crowded to me.

Welcome back missed you guys. Please don’t suffer the cold for us unless ya really want to. Once I camped the first weekend in October it was enough to let me know summer is my first love.

Thanks for this. I think you guys would love ditching the car/van and doing some canoe or kayak tripping away from the car for a few nights.

It is good to see you guys back. We had seen this campground on the maps but didn't know much about it, until now. After you review and approval it goes on a must see list. While all your followers will miss you if you take a winter break, we are sure that you will be using that time to plan and research for the new camping season. Today is Diane and my 49th anniversary and I am starting the day with watching Dee and Lee. Shhhhhhhhh! Whoa, two things were missing. No rain and no steaming coffee pot scene.

Thank you SO much for this one!! I had written it off our list due to No Pets rule, but so happy to hear from you that pets are allowed Oct1-Nov1 !! October is our fave month to camp, so am so excited for this amazing place: many beautiful waterfront sites, private sites, inexpensive fees, and for us it's less than an hour's drive. What more could one want??!! Thanks SO much again for opening this one up for us!!🧡 Also, would LOVE to see off-season cabin etc reviews if you guys are up to it. Really love your videos!!

Leashed pets are welcome on hiking trails only. Pets are NOT permitted in the campground or beach area during the summer season (May 1 - September 30). *Campers are only allowed to bring pets before May 1 and after September 30, which includes the cabins.

  • @apstech4618

I used to live on the Lake. The Beach is closed to swimming every year about two weeks after memorial day because of all the migrants coming up from the cities and letting their anchor babies defecate in the water. Took a hike out to Round Pond and the pond that drains into it next to the Boulder Field last year and found they polluted that too. Disgraceful. Used to be nice.
