The CCC museum hasn’t been open the past few times since Covid. I would love to see it. Fascinating how much of our park infrastructure was created by these guys. Love this video and your mention of CCC.
It wasn't open when I went either. I asked and they opened it just for the time I spent inside, then locked it again. Recently I saw a beautiful, premium, fancy exhibit of CCC items somewhere and wished it could be like that at Bear Brook also. Lovely lighting and glass cases... Where was that.... I will try to remember and write it here. Might have been a ranger station.
Also, BlackBerry Crossing has some intact CCC structures to see, not sure about any kind of exhibits though, as I haven’t camped there yet but would like to try in autumn.
Very nice video All the tall pines looked beautiful. I would venture to say how fortunate you were to be in the company of not one but two owls. Bet that doesn’t happen often
I found a great tip in one of your mountain biking videos. You used ball bungees to strap your tripod to the handlebars. I was going to buy an expensive bracket to do the same thing, you saved me a lot of money. Thank you. I love your NH videos, I'm heading to the Basin Campground after Memorial Day.
I hate washing dishes too. I bought the sea to summit collapsible kitchen sink and I can carry water from the campsite faucet to my picnic table and it works great to clean dishes. Looks like a fun trip!
That was a cool relaxing looking overnight. Every time we've ever gone to Bear Brook we get eaten alive like the main course at an all you can eat bug buffet, so we've never even considered camping there. I'm kind of with you on how close it is to residences plus Manch/Concord, and that's probably got a lot to do with why we've never seriously considered it for camping. Can't even imagine your frustration when those owls showed up and you had no camera ready, but your reaction plus the noise they were making still made it entertaining. It will probably never happen again, unless they can catch you again when you don't have a camera ready! Thanks for sharing!
I guess I got lucky with the bugs since I've only gone there in the fall, or now in the early spring. It was a lot nicer than I expected. I'm discovering that campground experiences can vary widely, which probably explains why the reviews can be mixed between great and terrible.
Love the owls, thank you for sharing with us! And thank you for sacrificing your oatmeal heat😊
You are so welcome! That was quite an experience.
Tour was especially helpful. Thank you!
Thanks. Nice place there.
The wife and I explore bear brook every chance we get. Great video!
“ I am supposed to be setting up a tent but I saw a bird” been there!!! LOL

Thank you. Yes, I agree. The two owls together were astounding!
I'm hoping to spend next Summer up in that part of the country. Beautiful park.
Great video and the sound of Woodpeckers at 21.01!
Thank you. Yes, the birds are so fun to see and hear.

Cool. Yeah the basin might have fireflies then, which would be magical.

Thank you for the tip. I will definitely check that out.
