You were in my neck of the woods in Bedford County, PA. Rt 326 over Rainsburg Mountain. Amazing hunting down there. Deer, Bear, Coyote, Wild Boar, Bobcat. You name it, you can find it on that mountain. I started to watch your story from the beginning, and have made it this far already in a few days. My wife and I have a 23' Toy Hauler that we are doing some light upgrades to, so we can haul the RZR inside. I really enjoy watching Craig do all the maintenance and upkeep on your equipment. Stay safe & God Bless
I went to college 20 minutes from Letchworth. It’s a beautiful place that’s easy to take for granted when you live nearby. If you ever return, I recommend getting frozen custard at Keith’s Citgo in Portageville.
We dry camp as much as we can. Most MA state parks are dry camping. In fact we are going dry camping in Sandwich MA this week. Love camping under the trees in the summer, it's a lot cooler. We have portable solar panels that we put in the sun while keeping cooler in the shade.
It's always so fun to watch you two. Yep that road looked like a good climb for the rig... Yikes . We'll have fun be safe and as always wishing you safe travels. Oh and hugs to the fur babies 🤗
Nice to see you guys in NE. I have been following you guys for a while since my wife and I are thinking of RV for 4 months a year and we love the Brinkley! If you still in NE for the near future I would love to invite you guys to our ski house in Catskills. Beautiful area this time of the year, lots of hiking and we only 50 min drive from Gunks! Every climber should visit gunks!
We're starting to head southeast for some family events, but would love to explore the Catskills one day! and we hadn't heard of Gunks! thanks for the tip!! We're still learning about all the epic climbing spots around the country
Letchworth is beautiful! Thanks for sharing the fall colors! We went in the summer and stayed at the Glen Iris Inn. Very cool place. We’ve also rented that cool stone cottage there. We had a hard time camping the east coast, but Vermont has beautiful state parks! 💚
Ironically we were camping across from you at Letchworth State Park. We are from Niagara Falls Ontario. I was curious about you trailer so when we got home I looked up your brand of trailer and VOILA you guys popped up. Didn’t see you much other then walking the dogs. I told my wife with the starlink that you were probably working remotely. As I see you do Best of luck on your Chanel and yes we subscribed
haha that's so cool! The world really gets so much smaller when you're RVing, I feel like we just "run into" people all over the country! We did spend a lot of the week working lol, but finally got to go exploring over the weekend!
Omgosh!!! Love that you caught a train, looked so beautiful. Keep up the amazing videos. And thank you for showing all these awesome places you go. Helps me know what's out there and safe when I go on my adventure. Stay safe have fun 🥰
Really enjoy your videos. I ordered a Brinkley 3610 yesterday and I particularly like that I can get a preview of tips and tricks before my unit arrives. We live in our GD Solitude about 4-5 months out of the year, but with our Brinkley I am going to rig it for boon docking and much of that you two have inspired! :) Great channel and I love your positive attitudes and genuineness. All the best!
Wow thank you so much!! And congrats on the new Brinkley! I’m so glad that we’ve been able to inspire you through our adventures and videos, that is always our goal! I hope you enjoy boondocking more in the future, we really do love the places we’ve been able to stay because of it!
@@rossetti1313 There have been no significant changes or improvements with the GD model I have had now for seven years. I've really enjoyed my Solitude over the years and it has provided much enjoyment, but it was time for a new unit. Comparing a new GD with a new Brinkley, depending what is most important to you in an RV, Brinkley was a clear winner for me.
First time viewer. We are fulltime retirees who lived our lives in CT. Visit our kids & grandkids every summer but no places to boondock. State parks and we know them well cannot accommodate big rigs at all. Unless you want to spend a night in a mall parking lot (and probably get kicked out), that's about it. Campgrounds are very expensive.
Hope you are having a great time on the eastcoast, WV is one of your favorite places to visit when we are out that direction. We are looking forward to heading there next fall too. Tell Maverick I said hello even though I know he hates me... 8)
Great color and photography. Check out the New River Gorge in WV. It's about 900 feet deep and 53 miles long with many points of interest and viewpoints. A hike to Diamond Point area is rewarding with lots of cliffs. There's a similar (but much higher and longer) single arch bridge over the gorge. Fayetteville is a must visit there too.
we are going to miss New River Gorge this year I think, but I actually have that one pinned on my Google map because I definitely want to visit that one day!! Will have to be sure and pin the Diamond Point area as well, thanks so much!!
Welcome to the East. We have a Z3100 and live in Ohio. You two are so funny and we enjoy your adventures. Boondocking spots in this part of the country are few nd far between but there are a lot of state parks in the East that your rig should fit into. Enjoy your time in our part of the country.
Thank you! I’m thinking we’ll run into quite a few more people with Brinkleys now that we’re back east! And yesss definitely going to try and hit up some state parks when we can. Sometimes getting those week long reservations can be so hard though! (The weekend being the problem of course)
We have some really nice rv friendly state parks in Ohio if you ever head this way. For us it's about time to think about heading south for the winter. Safe travels.
I’m from Ontario, about 30 minutes from the Elora gorge. I’ve camped Letchworth my whole life. Even got to bring my kids there. It’s an awesome family campground. It’s been a bit since I’ve gone. My kids are all grown up. Definitely want to go back.
Long time viewer and current subscriber. Love the channel as I also envy your awesome Brinkley. I have a Sprinter van myself but this video has made me in awe of your bravery to navigate smaller off the path roads. I think I would need a crow bar to get my grip off the steering wheel with that stress. Kudos to you both
Really interesting to hear you guys talk about the NE! Having grown up in NE PA just south of Binghamton NY then moving to South Central PA, all you are finding out is just life here! I would be out of my element anywhere else in the USA so I understand! Cool to watch you drive down roads I'm familiar with too! Hope you enjoyed your time in PA!
If you kids love gorge hikes with waterfalls you absolutely need to head over to Watkins Glen State Park in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It is the most beautiful hike Toni and I have ever been on. Good luck with the boondocking out east, we were there all summer and there's no a lot of it.
Camped at Letchworth 3 years ago. Such a beautiful park. Love you fall photography. Would love to boondock in the east too. Seems a bit of a premium item.
Im from South Western Pa about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. We have the Laurel Mountains and its full of great history and its a wonderful tourists attraction. We have Ohiopyle State Park and tons of trails camping and Jumonville Cross. Its a very huge beautifully lit cross that can be seen for miles. Next time your in Pennsylvania you should swing by Fayette County we have a lot of history and fun to offer😊
The river is the same as the beer Genesee. You should of seen the old r/r bridge. we camp up there every couple years. You should also checked out Watkins Glen State Park.
Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania has a vary nice trail. Right by a lot of waterfalls. Warning the road going up to the park. It is a vary step, like 18 to 20% grade. O and welcome to towing in the northeast, lol😅.
If you ever comeback to the NorthEast, let us (your fans) pick some spots for you that might be more to your liking. Letchworth is cool but there is a lot more to see. You were near another one of our favorite places, Rocky Gap Maryland.
That would be awesome! We’ll be heading more southeast to do our annual “family tour” for the holidays lol, but we definitely want to do a proper exploration of the NE one day where we can spend a couple of months seeing all the sights
Hi guy's...we don't go up pass va with our setup...fall tree's are pretty..water falls was pretty also...you guy's are are hoot to watch...thanks for the video...stay safe...J&A
How about the Harvest Hosts might be a big open farm or something ( for the solar panels) This was quite the adventure! Loved it. I don’t see many videos on the North East -
Those are really great for 1-2 night stays, but we usually try to stay places at least a week because we can’t really move much during the week because of work
Lots of boondocking down here in PA State Forests and some is big rig friendly. You do have to reserve the sites though and is 10$ a night. Reservations via reserve america.
Haha that’s funny! It really was one of the few places I could find for boondocking in this area of the country (and I felt confident bringing a big rig to) 😆
@@wildrvlife if you’re ever around here again, let us know! We’d love to meet you guys! We want to hit the road soon, and really want to chat with someone about what this lifestyle is really about.
Hi. Just to let yall know in the Adirondack park which is the largest park in the lower 48 at 6.1 millon acres. There is 79,000 acres section called Moose Plain where you can boondock. There is also area in western N.Y.-Pa. that has boondocking in the state and federal park. I don't think either one fits the bill for ya'll though. There's too many of those pesky trees.
We camped at the same park after our Canada side Niagara Falls trip. We were eating at the restaurant and heard hot air balloons firing their burners. We got to watch a large gondola balloon mosey thru the gorge. I don't know how the pilot did that.
I purchased a 27 Foot class A specifically for a trip to the east coast. Towing an F150, I was only able to boondock a few times and they were sketchy AF! ✌️
It is sooo much harder on the east coast for boondocking! Lots of state and county parks, which are nice, but I sure do miss boondocking when we're over here
New subscriber here. I've been watching a number of your videos and am finding them very enjoyable. Good job on driving that road with such a large RV on your tail. Hope your stay there continues to go well for you. 😎👍 PS: I'm from the northeast, New England area, so if you have any questions, I may be able to help you answer them.
Thanks for subscribing and joining us on our adventures! And good to know! We’ll be starting to head southeast but I’d love to explore the New England area more one day and I really don’t know much about it at all!
Hi , I don't know about new York but here in Virginia where I live the Jefferson National Forrest if full of Boondocking and some of my favorite places in the world . AND Yes there are trees !!! You can handle that can't you? Send me a not if you are passing through Virginia . I will hook you up! or I will move my rig over and you can hook up to my 30a spot in the drive way. Love you guys .
We were looking into some of those spots in the Jefferson National Forest! We just left Virginia visiting Craig's brother, we ultimately opted for full hookups since we were going to have an extra person using water, etc. But, good to know because we often visit Virginia every year since Craig's brother is there.
If you are seriously going to dry camp/boondock join Harvest Host. Checked the east and found over 700 locations in the New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware area.
We have a membership! We do enjoy using those, but we need to usually stay places at least a week with our work schedule and that doesn’t typically work well with Harvest Hosts. They are a great option for overnighters though! Typically, we just end up spending a lot more time in campgrounds on the east coast until we can get back out west and get back to our typical boondocking habits 😅
That is one thing I really love about staying in state parks, is all the hiking trails! But yes, getting reservations at them is always the challenge for us 😅
One more thing I forgot to mention. Most of the backroads and many city roads were once horse routes in the 18th and 19th century. Backroads also are windy because they went around property lines of farmers. Later on they paved those horse and buggy routes.
East Coast NC me lol. NC, VA, KY, WV, PA are the most hills. I-95 & I-81 probably the best to travel on 😂. I hear from other RUclipsrs NH etc in that area not bad to get places
@@wildrvlifeSC is always pretty rough going south 😂, me I live West NC foothills, I went up i-77 to i-81 to Scranton, Pa then went east for best traveling was 1 little toll think was $2.50 for car to cross a little bridge but when you come back across they was no toll, then jump in i-84 East into CT probably the best way. You can look on the map for that route, Scranton Pa Petro Truck Stop was a good fuel stopping point my old stop
Good to know! We’ll actually be making our way to western NC for the Christmas holidays! My sister and family live in that area, such a beautiful area of the country
fyi, a lot of those "lists" that state that some place is voted best place to live, or the best beach, or the best night life arent actually a vote. The city/tourism council just pay a publication XX amount of dollars to be on the list, the ones paying the most get the top spot. They do it as a means to bring in more tourism and therefore more money to the town so its essentially just advertising
I really enjoy your videos! And they look and sound crisp and clear. Craig or Victoria, may I contact you to ask a few simple questions on how you make and edit the videos?
for sure! our basic setup is: Filming with: iPhone 14 Pro Mics: DJI wireless mics (Sometimes we use a GoPro Hero 9 attached to our windshield in the car) Drone shots with a DJI Mini 3 Pro And Craig edits on Davinci Resolve
Thank you! Due to budget, I might get the iPhone 13 Pro (renewed). Hopefully the video will turn out as good as your 14 Pro. 😅 Do you shoot standard 4K video (HEVC) on the phone? And lastly, what does Craig do when editing, to get the final look? Color grading? Brightening? Sharpening? Anything like that? I'd love to know, and others might too. 8) @@wildrvlife
Yeah, we've got the phone set to shoot in 4k at 30fps. There might have been one other setting I changed for something with HD-something, but I just looked up a youtube video on "how to set up an iphone for vlogging for youtube" and followed all the suggestions. We do some color grading in Davinci Resolve as well. Nothing crazy, but just bringing up the shadows and highlights down a bit and adjusting coloring slightly based on the lighting on if things are too warm/cool or need a little more/less saturation.
Oh my goodness guys, when I saw that bridge I remembered a situation I was in a few years ago! I was driving a semi with a gross weight of 78,000 pounds plus. I had to take a detour and ended up on a 2,000 ft long bridge with a weight limit on it. I was WELL over! Im a Christian, but my ass was sucking up seat and my heart was in my throat and my mouth was speaking to the Lord. This was also a one and a half lane bridge..... Obviously by the grace of God I m hear typing today🤯!
Oh my goodness!! 😳 that sounds TOO nerve wracking! We’ve seen some of those one and a half lane bridges and they always seem sooo sketchy! I would have been talking to the Lord too! 🤣
Lol we actually have one but it’s a pain to get to. We put our huge “big tools” storage tote that used to be on a rack of our old rig into the new one’s storage bay, and we’ve been waiting to get back to Florida to our storage unit to off load some stuff and reorganize 😆 that’s one thing we definitely need to get back to a more accessible spot
In the northeast: we always travel with a leaf blower: much easier to clear your slides and roof of leaves or debris. Also ; in the northeast we use generators: we hardly ever have hookups and do just fine

welcome back to the east coast please be safe your friend from Maryland Rodney
thank you so much!
Letchworth is amazing. Coming from someone who lived near there.
It is!! We loved it there
I purchased a 27 Foot class A specifically for a trip to the east coast. Towing an F150, I was only able to boondock a few times and they were sketchy AF! ✌️
It is sooo much harder on the east coast for boondocking! Lots of state and county parks, which are nice, but I sure do miss boondocking when we're over here
Beautiful scenery!
It really is!
New subscriber here. I've been watching a number of your videos and am finding them very enjoyable. Good job on driving that road with such a large RV on your tail. Hope your stay there continues to go well for you. 😎👍
PS: I'm from the northeast, New England area, so if you have any questions, I may be able to help you answer them.
Thanks for subscribing and joining us on our adventures! And good to know! We’ll be starting to head southeast but I’d love to explore the New England area more one day and I really don’t know much about it at all!
Holy cow what a trip! Subscribed!
I heard you met my parents, Jack and Sue King-and probably Bella💗 I drove that road every day in my Tahoe for a teaching job🤣 RESPECT!
Yes, we did! They were so sweet and gave us some of the most delicious apples!
It was definitely quite the road with the RV 🤣
Henderson Beach State Park in FL is one of our favorites.
1:48 boondocking is camping without hook ups, wherever you park. We boondock every week at a casino
Most state parks have hiking trails. Some Vermont state parks are booked up by December for the following year, for the lakeside spots.
That is one thing I really love about staying in state parks, is all the hiking trails!
But yes, getting reservations at them is always the challenge for us 😅
After Letchwoth State Park, I didn’t hear where you were going or what boondocking site you’re at.
Looks like this place might get its first review! Steep hill to enter with narrow winding roads. But, it’s paved! Lol
Im from Pennsylvania, hope you had a good time there!!❤
We had a really nice time! It was the first time we have ever stayed in the state!
If you get back to ny, try Adirondack state park
Good job on the road to the boondocking spot.
We were pretty proud of the truck by the end of it!
One more thing I forgot to mention. Most of the backroads and many city roads were once horse routes in the 18th and 19th century. Backroads also are windy because they went around property lines of farmers. Later on they paved those horse and buggy routes.
Beautiful state park!
Really enjoy your videos!!
Thank you so much!
East Coast NC me lol. NC, VA, KY, WV, PA are the most hills. I-95 & I-81 probably the best to travel on 😂. I hear from other RUclipsrs NH etc in that area not bad to get places
LOL although with the roadwork on I-95 alllll the time, I don’t even know if that one is safe! Those are such hilly places though!
@@wildrvlife yes it's nice up here/they're, I'm Eastern Burke County
keep them videos coming from the imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲
Will do! Thanks for watching!!
Our base is an hour from Letchworth. Only place we’ve found that starlink doesn’t work at all.
Ohhh interesting! Because of trees, or just a lack of satellites?
The area that we were in was completely covered with trees.
You guys are a HOOT!! Thats mid west talk for you guys are a HOOT!🤣🤣
Hahah! Thank you for watching! 😄
I live in N.H. theres a bunch of free camping but it just requires you to find them .
Letchworth State Park! I wrote that before you said it😅
I didn’t hear them mention where in Pennsylvania they were where they encountered the steep road. Anyone know?
fyi, a lot of those "lists" that state that some place is voted best place to live, or the best beach, or the best night life arent actually a vote. The city/tourism council just pay a publication XX amount of dollars to be on the list, the ones paying the most get the top spot. They do it as a means to bring in more tourism and therefore more money to the town so its essentially just advertising
lol yep! That's why I can't ever trust a list on the internet anymore. 🤣 gotta get my info from the real people!
I stay away from NY for anything. I drive around it. Fulton County PA is very mountainous and steep and excessively curvy.
Boondocking can be one night. We do it sometimes multiple one day stays
Ooh see if you combine multiple one night stays, then that counts in our book 🤣 we’re making up our own rules here LOL
You guys gotta see Portland Main is nice , the whole North east U.S is beautiful New Hampshire Vermont all that area is very nice
we really want to spend a summer up there doing the area justice and seeing all the things.. one day!
@@wildrvlife just bring lots of money lol
Crack me up...Have fun you guys... I'm on the right side with Craig.
Haha, that's the only side, lol!
The things you two don't know is a trend. It's easy enough to look up these things.
Life isn’t as much fun when you know everything though. We like a little mystery in life. Lol
I was nervous for you!!!!
haha I was definitely getting a little anxious
I live in New Hamshire and hate the humidity. We haven't made it out west yet for camping but want to.
I never knew how much I didn’t like it until we experienced life without it 😂 for sure recommend exploring out west if you’re able to one day!
Lets park at the Truck Stop than 😂🚛🚚
I agree you can't call it boondocking if you ain't staying for at least a couple of nights and going sightseeing leaving your RV behind
We know that "technically" boondocking is any time you camp without hookups, but this is how we feel about it too! 😆
I really enjoy your videos! And they look and sound crisp and clear. Craig or Victoria, may I contact you to ask a few simple questions on how you make and edit the videos?
My main question: what phone model are they using?
for sure! our basic setup is:
Filming with: iPhone 14 Pro
Mics: DJI wireless mics
(Sometimes we use a GoPro Hero 9 attached to our windshield in the car)
Drone shots with a DJI Mini 3 Pro
And Craig edits on Davinci Resolve
Thanks, I really appreciate it! @@wildrvlife
Slide toppers keep your slides clear.
What kind of ebike rack do you have
If you plan on doing more with trees get a battery powered leaf blower
I think of "Boondocking" as a no hookups, staying in remote or areas like beaches. NOT in Parking lots or rest stops. I'm on the "right" side lol
I live near letchworth and go all the time, got married at the glen iris.
We saw someone setting up for a wedding there! It really is such a beautiful park
Alway a great video
thanks for watching!
Join Harvest Host ASAP. Plenty of free overnight parking on the East Coast.
Have to get a small battery powered leaf blower for the roof
Lol we actually have one but it’s a pain to get to. We put our huge “big tools” storage tote that used to be on a rack of our old rig into the new one’s storage bay, and we’ve been waiting to get back to Florida to our storage unit to off load some stuff and reorganize 😆 that’s one thing we definitely need to get back to a more accessible spot
@wildrvlife never fails, have it but can't get to it 🤣
Lol always! Don’t even know how that happens when we live in like 300 sq ft 😂🤣
@@wildrvlife 🤣
Towing with a full water tank ? That made my engine lug going up from steep valleys
First from Indy VAMC 👊🏻💪🏻🤒
Thanks for watching!
Indy man myself here!
And @dixiemae5042 - we hope that your health is starting improve!
@@wildrvlife thank you …
Genesee, only river to completlely cross NY state.
Did you have to get a brand new roof?? 😳😳😳😳😳
Instead of sweeping your slides and roof, use a leaf blower.
For western NY, Letchworth is a beautiful spot! But best in the nation? Hmmmm. I think I'd go with Valley of Fire State Park over this one. 🤔
Ooh, I'd have to agree with you on that one. That was such a fun trip!
Another great video!
Thanks so much for watching!
Where is your leaf blower?
in the bottom of a big tote that's in the storage bay area 😅
