I'm from Russia. When the war with Ukraine was declared, everyone was shocked. Many Russians have relatives and friends living in Ukraine. Now there is an information war going on, so we don't even know what's going on in Ukraine. It's terrible that Russians have to apologize for being Russian because of the government. We are against war and we hope it ends soon :(
It's being made known that the Russian people do not support what is going on. People do tend to forget that a president sometimes does not represent what his citizens want but for their own purposes. But know that there are many that see the truth. No apology needed. Just stay safe.

Russians are killing families over there for no reason. I accidentally saw a video of Russian forces purposefully mowing down a family and their dog (I try to avoid videos like that). Another post later was Ukrainians finding all of their bodies. Sure, not all Russians but there are russians killing school children on purpose. They're shooting innocent civilians. A russian tank went out of its way to roll over a Ukrainian car.

I gotta admit, O.O wasnt the best debut song, but it wasnt entirely worst/bad either. After few times listening to it, it was quite catchy. And they killed the choreo, needless to mention their crazy visual. Hopefully JYP will give them better songs next time.

I heard nmixx debut song was bad so I went and listened to myself. I was really expecting to say it’s not that bad but no it’s actually bad. The lyrics are awful and the beat sounds even worse. Whoever made the lyrics and produced the beat needs to figure it out cuz that was not it. It’s as if lyrics got made without hearing the beat and the beat was made without hearing the lyrics. It did not mesh well at all.
I agree the song is alright, but it was definitely weird when I first heard it. The big problem is it sounded like 3 separate songs put into 1 song.

I mean, you are correct that they tried the same thing as next level, this was my exact thought. Except that Next Level was also bad. I personally complained about it the same way on its launch day, and I can only now way later think that it's an okay song, though still not great. Too many changes half way through the song just leaves me feeling like, wtf does this song want to be.

Well, they are definitely getting attention. Whether you liked the song or not, you’re talking about them. Hopefully they can reign in the messy feel and give us some good music. Maybe they can do the genre mixing with their albums, but not each individual song… cause that was headache inducing.

Even with albums, you need to keep it cohesive. I mean look at Purple Kiss's first album, for example. The individual tracks range from alright to especially good, but none of the tracks actually go together, so you end up with a jumbled mess of genres that don't match. If they do end up incorporating genre mixing into their albums, they should try and find a way to transition smoothly between each track.

Can u talk about how jype stole ateez’s whole storyline and concept for nmixx it’s a huge issue rn I’m so mad how big companies treat groups from small companies! Ateez have been super serious about their storyline and concept and even mixed it with their personal experiences so it’s really special to us and Ateez. Plagiarism should not be okay just because you’re from a big company :( Ateez deserve better

i was quite cofused with O.O at 1st listen but i was MIND BLOWN. it takes a few listens to understand the beats and flow of the song.
part of what I went through with rap/ hip hop when everything sounds the same it's very stale. I believe being a artist or idol group is also about being creative and I support it I look forward to their future songs 👍

I personally didn't like NMIXX's song at first but as I listened to it again and again, I ended up liking it a bit especially the 2nd part (superhero part). I honestly like the other song, Tank. I hope more people will give them a chance. Kinda sad to hear that people are judging them with just one song.
Also, I hope this ordeal with Ukraine won't last long. It breaks my heart to see people and their pets so scared for their lives and their country, others staying to fight for their country. Let's pray for Ukraine, for democracy to prevail and world peace. Let's pray that this won't lead to a third world war.

But it happens to me almost with any song that I listen, the first time is "ok" and the third time it's "oh I kinda like it". Sometimes the first time is not "ok" but "mmm...?" Like with NCT and Aespa songs. But it's not like I forced myself to listening to their songs 10 times to like them

I can’t remember where I saw it, but I read that NMIXX is supposed to debut near the end of March. I haven’t heard either of their first two songs, so I don’t have an opinion on those (but I will say I usually don’t like JYP groups) but I wanted to throw my opinion of best group in kpop into the mix and say it’s B.A.P all day. Zelo and Yongguk are just the best and I love the music they’ve both put out since B.A.P disbanded

I didn't really like nmixx's debut song but if they're trying to pick and mix it they need to take notes from sm and follow in their steps on how to choose instrumentals but the concept I do like it's just the song that I didn't like I'm glad I'm going to study music when I'm in college I still am going to try and support them because it's what I do to new groups in 4th gen kpop

personally for me, I only loved the beginning up to the first chorus, and the very last part when they go back to the same melody as the first verse, after that it was really meh. it was too fast and confusing and you have to admit, a lot of the lyrics feels like it's just put together with no transition. it wasn't a bad song per se but it was a bad song for a debut. also, i feel like it didnt really properly introduce them individually and as a group. the vocals were good but i felt like no one stood out (maybe bcs the members didnt have long lines to truly show off, just bits of phrases here and there). the only thing i like abt this debut is their choreo.
this one is a stretch but i think they purposely debuted the girls this way so more people will look forward to their future activities. i dont like jype AT ALL but i genuinely doubt they will release a 'bad' song without any marketing purpose.

Idk if it’s just me but I feel like both of their songs just sound badly produced, the mixing sounds off to me and some of the sounds just seemed to clash. I actually think both songs would’ve been way better otherwise apart of the beginning part of o.o I really do not like that part at all.

About Nmixx, I think Jyp wanted to do something like sm is doing with aespa. They put different styles in the song, like Savage.
their debut isn't the worst but REALLY BAD. i mean, if you look at all jype group's debut songs, they're all ICONIC. that's why many are expecting from their debut song and somehow became disappointed.
Let’s admit it, majority of the haters who said this song was bad are now enjoying the music. (Not all haters but most of them) It’s still comes from personal taste but their criticisms towards this song naming “The worst Kpop debut song” doesn’t deserve the actual hate it receives! The song is literally creative and genius for me! It’s like domino effect. The more you listen to it, the more you realize how good it actually is. The long pause in the MV only made it bad and it made the song separated in 3 parts but just by listening to the original audio and their performance, all those parts are interconnected and executed perfectly. And the “ShOOg, ShOOg” lyrics are literally the sound effects of moving eyes in mangas and comic books while the “WhOOk whOOk” and “zOOm zOOm” are also pertains to the sound or movement that the eyes create in comics and makes up the title O.O! NMIXX just broke the typical “stereotypical” and casual “badass-girl crush- cutesy” concept that most KPOP gg’s are generally using as their main concept. They are truly an ace and i’m proud I stan them since their qualifying videos. The vocal line is one of the strongest in 4th Gen and the dance line are just so good and advanced!!! They are truly an ALL ACE GROUP.

the song feels like 4 songs with different ideas forced to put together, it changes so much and the sound/melody doesnt develop properly at any point because there is no time, each part has like 30/40 seconds and then changes completely.
Is like trying to eat 4 huge different dinners but only having 15 min to do it, they can be good, but the time is so short that u end up not liking any one.

I listened to the mv and what I thought was that it was a mixture of the various types of genres they intend to work on. I didn't even see those references to "picks" - I can never catch anything in any clip.
I personally love NMIXX's debut song I listen to it every single day and night
I feel like there is a way to transition smoother into different genres. I think the headache part is that it sounds like they combined 4 different songs, that are 4 different genres into one song and just barely slapped some transitions in. They didn't choose one song and choose different sections(e.g. verse, chorus, bridge) to have different genres. Which is why I think Grace mentioning I Got a Boy is a good point. Because IGOB is one cohesive song that sounds like they added transitions to the sections, which makes the genres and the transitions sound easier to the ear. I hope this wasn't too confusing.

Its okay if they have Pick and Mix but claiming that they are the one who started it, is something that doesnt sit well with a lot of people. Genre mixing isnt new to the game and claiming it as theirs, well nah, thats just a wrong thing to do. Its okay to be inspired. I'm into SM, so I am very open to genre mixing and experimentation. SO I wanted to give O.O a fair shake and I've listened a bunch of times but not much is hoooking me you know, maybe the poppin it part kinda but not really. Like the thing with Sticker, Next Level and I Got a boy is that they have key hooks that actually hook you. So even if you may be jarred at first you fall in love with those songs on replays cause there a solid point that you can't get out of your head. But I'm losing the replay appeal with O.O

I agree with this 100% 3:59 , the execution with the english lyrics in O.O was very hard to listen too (imho) for example the lyrics “Zip Zap Zoom come on come on” “cause everything is fake but I aint a fake” , these lyrics feel very weird to hear and to read frankly and feels like it was just thrown in just for the sake of adding in english to the song. I think, its possible IF you listen to their song as a medly of what they can do instead as a whole song structure. But if thats not the case, then yes, it was a mess, if they would have gone different genres, they should have kept the style and bpm similar at the very least.

I would never leave my dog if a war broke out in my country… think about how they would feel.. they wouldn’t even understand why you’re going from them and they end up being scared because of all the bombs and loud noises of houses and buildings falling etc and they have no one to hide with 😭😭 I feel so bad for all the pets, especially dogs left behind in Ukraine.

I think the concept of NMIXX of mixing different genres in a song is not new in kpop industry and I think it just a new JYP market strategy in kpop because JYP are known for their catchy music's or performance and JYP is always pick a song that can be a bop unlike SM entertainment is usually take a risk for their experimental music ( they are known for it) and they are the first one introduce the mixing of different genres in a songs way back in 2nd generation of kpop and because of the successful of some of their mixing different genres in a song like IGAB and NEXT LEVEL, I think it became a trend right now because some of a kpop company are do the mixing of different genres in a song so I don't know what makes NMIXX music different from other kpop music's especially in SM musics.
But it's just my opinion base on my observation as a kpop fan for many years.
I really like NMIXX. Ukraine has been asking for help for months. It's unfortunate that it's taken war being declared on them for these countries to slowly step up. It's a sad world right now.

Look at what 9MUSES bad debut song did to that group, in spite of 9MUSES eventually developing 1 of the best girl group discographies of all time, but yet the group never recovered and became successful, however I love the group and consider them the most underrated group of all time! But, I’m just 1 guy. Lastly the fact that NMIXX is from a mega company unlike 9MUSES will probably help the talented NMIXX go on and be successful, even though their debut song is atrocious beyond measure!
actually o.o kinda grew on me since i keep listening to it. it made me addicted to the song, I do think that listening without the mv is much more better since there is this silent part in the mv that I feel like that it was the one that made me not like the song at first. If you have watch their performance its really satisfying since the choreo is actually amazing that made thr much more better (in my opinion)

Aespa mixes genres and melodies together and it works because they have cohesion, even if parts of the song sound like they could be different, the choreo and the lyrics, it all ties together well. JYP didn't do that for NMIXX.. they just threw chops of songs together with little effort it seems. If you want to shock people and have a positive outcome, it has to be GOOD.. how did anyone writing the song with nonsense lyrics like "shoog shoog" was a good idea??? They literally could have written "shook shook" or "shoot shoot" at the least. & the obvious coke sponsorship just made it all the more cheesy...I remember LIly from KPOP star and I am really rooting for her. I hope JYP gets their act together for the sake of these clearly talented girls.

I'm from Poland. Doesn't matter whether you live by the border or across the country, everyone helps whether by donating money, food, clothes or inviting Ukrainian families to our houses. Cinemas are screening cartoons for children in Ukrainian, resturants offer free meals or for less than a dollar/euro. Dang, if you look at the statistics, we've raised more funds than ALL OTHER COUTRIES COMBINED. I personally volunteered at my uni to teach families from Ukraine Polish language to help them assimilate.

Oh my. If it’s really doing a ‘pick and mix’ concept, then the girls would be doing an entertainment performance and not releasing music. I’m actually sad for Lily and hoping she moved to ITZY instead. The lyrics was so amateur and it wasn’t a great debut song. The superhero part was so great (second verse). It’s been almost a week and i haven’t loved it. It isn’t the next I Got A Boy, Red Light, Zimzalabim and Next Level. JYP didn’t pull it off.
