History making Aurora event | reality of wild camping | devils beef tub

- On this adventure, I take in and cover the history making event that accorded on October 10th 2024. The event in question was a massive G4 turning into G5 rated Aurora Storm. It was spectacular! Easily visable with the naked eye. I’ve tried not to over do the footage but u do want to make sure you get enough of the footage to appreciate just how amazing this was.
It was a last minute decision to go out which led to me adding in the subject of “the reality of wild camping” so I hope you like our wee discussion on this. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Our camp was located at Devils Beef Tub above Moffat, making use of the Dark Skies that we have on offer.

@Moffatmountainadventures we seen it from our back garden back in the summer. Couldn't imagine seeing it how well yous had it. Definitely one to remember

That’s one of them that’s gonna live long on the memories. Ohh you’ve not summit camped yet, what’s been putting you off? It’s no like you’ve not got the legs for it.

@@Moffatmountainadventures wouldn’t put myself in the category of expert camper, especially after seeing your videos, love camping but it’s been all campsites and car camping up till now…a summit really appeals but I guess there’s more to it going from what I’ve seen….great information btw
