Is this an 'official' EPSON channel and EPSON recommendation? The clip does not even mention the issue of printhead conditioning/cleaning whenever restarting an EPSON after power cycling. Most printer manufacturers explicitly recommend NOT to shut the printer down, for the sake of keeping the print heads healthy and the ink consumption low.
My EPSON BX635FWD started to 'forget' ALL four inserted (full!) cartridges when sitting idle in standby mode, randomly after 10-20days. So I was considering the power off approach to avoid the obnoxious repositioning of all ink tanks and their re-initialization. Looking for a solution or recommendaton here.
This video was not helpful at all, and EPSON appears to be not as reliable as I remembered it to be - back to CANON?
Well the channel name is Epson America so I would say yes it is the official channel of Epson
Indeed, this video is a joke. The important question when and if it is better to keep the printer on or not in regard to ink usage and drying in of printer heads is not even scratched.

Why can't printers be set up with less buttons or mark the buttons in the language of the country it is going to be used in? On my ET 2550 you must keep guessing until you have learned all of the different things each button can do.
Also, if I turn it off for a few days, it looses memory for YF connection.
Art Frailey it looses memory of YF as in wifi connection? Just asking since I’m a new epson owner and want to make sure you aren’t referring to something I’m not aware of?
