It would have been nice to have Epson list the actual link to the set-up/drivers for those on a Mac or without a CD drive in the comments above, rather than just list it in the video.

instructional videos like this would be great if you were attempting to teach AI how to set-up a new printer. However this type of professional jargon with the white glove treatment seldom benefits those who actually seek this type of content, and isn't a preferred format for most.

Hello, I just bought this ET-2850 printer. I want to use it both wired and wirelessly so when I'm in my home office I could just have it plugged in to my computer. But when I'm away from my computer on my phone or tablet or if my wife or sons want to use it wirelessly, will that be a problem? I've read some reviews stating that setup was a pain. I understand some people are technically challenged and I can be at times but your instructions here on u-tube seem pretty straightforward. My main thing is will my family and I be able to use this both wired and wirelessly. Thank You.
I don't think you can use it "wired".....no usb connection. Wireless ONLY, as I understand it.
this product set-up has been a disaster for me.
setup has not worked well for me either. Epson does everything for you and when it does not work it is hard to troubleshoot.
I've never had so much pain and frustration trying to get this thing to print. From dozens of 1 minute pauses printing photos to constant errors of "Can't find printer on network" errors I'm ready to smash it into the wall. It's a shame too because it's such good value for money when it comes to ink

How can I get a CD for my VISTA computer that will load the EPSON ET-2850 software? I can not get your software downloads to work. I'm very frustrated. I have tried the USB route. But that still requires the ET-2850 software!!! UUGGGHHH!!! Please help!!! Thanks, Joe T.

I have this model and love it. However I want to get it for my mum and she doesn't have wifi. Can it be SET UP without wifi? I know it has the USB cable to connect to a computer.
Hello, and Yes, you can set up without wifi via the USB. When doing the first-time install it will give you that option to choose.
Hello I am losing my mind trying to install the combo driver to my windows 11 computer. I kept getting two error codes one that scan 2 had a error and to restart computer which I have done many times.
Then during setup “can not be setup under current operating system”
I downloaded the right software I click the drop menu to windows 11.

my sec ond computer has no CD Drive and I cannot get it to print on the ET-2850 -Why? Secondly the Registraation will not take my Canadian postal code o will not let me register the unit which was purchased at Staples in Canada. Why?

How do you connect your Epson EcoTank ET-2850 to your computer directly without having it connect to your wifi router? What if one does not have an internet?
Thank you for your question - you'll need a USB cable to connect your ET-2850 to your computer/laptop.

I am unable to use apple AirPrint with this device, I have called your support number and they can’t find a fix either. What do I do?
Hello! When you install our drivers on your mac, please use our driver for your printer because we offer the full features for the printer. AirPrint does not. and we do not write drivers for AirPrint. since it's an apple product.
@EpsonAmerica Im thinking of ordering one, but I do NOT want it to hook up to my wifi, I only need it hooked to my laptop. Is it possible to use this printer without hooking it to my wifi?
Yes, it is! Along with Wi-Fi connectivity, you can also use USB.

I'm all set up. The Wifi is connected and I am prompted to load paper from the back, A-4 plain paper. But every time I press OK to print I get a message that says "invalid" no matter where I go. What now?

I KEEP entering the Serial number printed on the box - the registration form keeps saying its not a valid number. Where is the serial number? the box has a serial number, Product number and UPC number. I entered ALL of them and the registration form rejected all.

Why doesn't the registration recognize my valid serial number on the box?!!!

I called the tech support and demanded for someone to guide me through the process, and eventually, Katia gladly and patiently, helped me get the printer to work. ;)
problem is…its not working alo says it cant connect to network! multiple attempts the app gives no other option yet continues to say cant connect.

Nothing the download worked as it described. It couldn't connect to my LAN. The app didn't help. Nowhere to put in wifi name or password. Control panel on printer didn't match what the download said. Incredibly frustrating and awful setup. Epson didn't include a cable to connect to computer.

I have the same problem - I have tried everything to get my Epsom to recognise my computer and vice versa. No joy. And the American accent when giving instructions is really irritating and talks like a primary school teacher.
