Title should be Ian Dury and the Blockheads. The Blockheads: One of the best live bands you can find.

Actually the title is correct. But so are you. Just technically less so. The Blockheads were the backing band but the album it was from was credited as just Ian Drury.
Oddly the single did include the Blockheads.

Back in the days before in-ear monitors, when rock stages were littered with massive speakers to enable musicians to hear what they were doing but which no doubt resulted in many of them developing tinnitus and other hearing problems. The hot lights have largely been replaced by low-energy modern equivalents, so stages are no longer the uncomfortably hot working environments they used to be.

I think this sequence here is a rehearsal and it s all LIVE! which is a performance for the French (TV) because they did a lot of dubbed rubbish or what they call PLAYBACK, I feel Antoine De Caunes was possibly behind that programme. What's with Davey Payne? He shuffles his feet a bit at the beginning of the song, then he just stands there and doesn't play , or move.
On the other "live" version of this song, he is playing, even has a solo.
