Extremely satisfying job to get done for winter. I plan to do the same for mine, when I get the time. The E46 is such a timeless design. Looks awesome.
Jealous of this one! I became the new owner of a 2002 Carbon Black SMG on the 10th Dec, but after driving it back and getting home late I missed my chance to wash the salt off. The car has been a block of ice since! Hoping to get out early next week and at least rinse down the arches. Keep up the vids, very enjoyable.
Omg seeing this video is making me think I need do the same.. I do my best to never drive it in winter 🥶 7years on .. nice to watch someone doing the right thing for such a amazing e46 m3 .. I love mine to death do us part 😅…. I’ve seen this car once over In reading when I was in my silver grey E46 m3 .. and this was like something brand new straight from bmw looked as fresh as a brand new one 🎉
It’s super satisfying and can easily be done in a day to know it’s well protected from the elements (unless you discover rust) thankfully all clear again on mine 😬) I was over that way a few weeks back, if it was following a blue golf R or 135i it was 100% me 😅
Been few years since I seen your car.. not many silver grey e46 m3 in Berkshire.. and I think I have the only silver grey one in reading with a OEM CSL REAL BOOT LID 😂 DAM ARM AND LEG THAT WAS
I’ve been using a product called Lanoguard on my e46 m3 inner arches and underneath, so easy to apply and seems to be doing fantastic as I use mine all year round 2/3k a year all be it very sparingly in the winter. Fantastic video, actually could be doing with some of those little wood thingys myself 👏🏻👌🏻❤️
I keep hearing about Lanoguard stuff, Facebook keeps spamming videos of it on my feed 😅 Glad you enjoyed the video 😎 ps the stand is super easy to make, literally a small section scaffold board and the blocks it’s bolted too are from the middle section of a pallet - works well for a quick knock up 👍
Class video mate… I do similar sith mine every winter, though I use one of those Halfords foam mats under each tyre before putting car cover on- just to get the tyres off the cold ground -prob doesn’t really matter tho!☺️
Cheers mate 😎 good idea with the Halfords tiles, as you can see in the video it’s what I used to clean the wheels to save the barrels so I have a few 😬
@@stoneautomotive I do this with my E46 M3 CS too. Have been looking at a set of 4 Tyredox tyre cushions (£200 for 4) which are made of recycled rubber and prevent flat spotting of the tyres. A bit pricey but is the cost of one new tyre so probably worth it.
@@barrywakefield4942 thankfully I’ve not had any issues with the increased tyre pressures but they sound like a good idea to keep the tyres at there best 👍
nice job, rolled mine into brother's garage Autumn 2021 and it hasn't moved since, so next year will need a good clean polish and wax all over, do those outdoor covers not mark the paint when windy etc and do you disconnect the battery
Thanks 😎 I’ve not had any issues with the same one on the Clio 172 Cup so I’m hoping not 😅 it’s got elastics front/ back and 3 straps underneath, it’s also fabric lined. I leave it connected to C-Tek MXS-5 so the alarm/ central locking is still active, I’ve seen people have issues with the clocks after disconnecting the battery for long periods so that has scared me too lol
😂 I got similar pedals in my e46 m3 and my girlfriend once said why have I got FOR pedals in my car .. i said it’s a manual and one pedal is a foot rest.. women theses days 😂
@@stoneautomotive I’ve just had a structural Karbonius carbon fibre 2x2 weave fitted to my E46. Totally transformed the look of the car 👍🏼- that’s the one to go for as you probably know.
@@stoneautomotive Nice one. Not sure how you get your Karbonius parts? but I can totally recommend Martin at MS Motorsport. He’s a sponsor on M3Cutters.👍🏼
I have argue that the Halfords professional one has been fantastic for the past 3 years on the M3 and Clio Cup - no damp, scratches or marks on the paint work even with being left for 6 months 👍 Having a barn would be the dream… but until such time I have to work with what I have 😭

Nice job that

Is the cleanest M3 in the UK👌👌

Welcome to club M3 😎 warm weather returning next week so hopefully you can get a deep clean in 👌
Glad your enjoying the videos, plenty more to come 😬

The pedals were in the car when I bought it, I think they were only off eBay as I’ve seen some anodised black ones which caught my attention 😬
Funny you say that mine was in my car when I brought mine too clearly someone had a good taste for good things
Hey are you on the road star app…. Will be great to follow you there for drives out when weather is a little better maybe
Put an OEM carbon roof on it please
100% on the cards, might have to start a “just giving fund me page” 😂

Swap the front brake discs. They are in the wrong side.
I thought the same when i was fitting them 😅 K-Sport run them that way (fitting manual and sticker all detail this way 👍)
I hate salt season...
Crap time of year for cars/ bikes ☹️
The worst thing ever is to cover a car i have a barn with 9 cars in im lucky but never cover a car ,
