This is what I need! Thank you Andy!! I broke my left ankle back in March during a power kick training session and I needed some training tips and inspiration in case I injure it again. Channel that warrior spirit!! Prayers for a speedy recovery my friend!
I LOVE this video! go Andy! the first time I got to see ya display some qigong, Impressive! an awesome display/example of returning to the foundation of all Martial training and rebuilding the skills to make you stronger, I feel this would be exactly how I would approach an injury as well, in fact that is how I delt with it, I hurt my hip a couple of years ago, doing unsafe mcdojo practices, fortunately I saw the errors and continued to go my own path to get back to traditional methodology, this video was INSPIRATIONAL! much respect to Andy and to Martial Club!!! 🙏🙇💪
welcome back! it's always the unexpected simple things that happens, such as stepping out of a bus! silly and unfair, really. can't wait to see the project is about and thanks for the update vid, fully enjoyed it
Thanks for following! i figured the least I could do was update you guys! who knew id come back injured from such a stupid reason. Thanks for following! means a lot
MartialClub thanks for always thinking of us! i follow for sure because of the reason that I too grew up with martial arts films myself too so it's been a really great watching martial club! I totally geek out all the time! be well, physically and mentally! 加油!
Great vid, Crazy that you uploaded this video today, the I just re-injured my lcl throwing some kicks to early in my healing process. Was kind of dumb on my part because I can be a little too stubborn sometimes. Now I'm gonna have to wait even longer to get back to regular training. Guess I'll just focus on different areas of my body.
I know how you feel. Not even a month ago I sprained my LCL and I can't even raise my opposite leg without collapsing. I'm still healing and not being able to move how I want to gets depressing.
Man really love your videos! I have a question. My passion in life is martial arts, I train in kendo and bujinkan Ninjutsu as much as I can, and if I could train everyday and do nothing else I would honestly be very happy. But unfortunately life gets in the way with work and having to pay the bills. So I was just wandering what you would recommend to someone that wants to be a martial artists above all. Any career paths? or really anything other than sitting in an office all day and only getting 2ish hours a day to train (my current situation). Anyways, thanks for the videos, they really help me out with motivation and training, and have sparked an interest in Shaolin Wushu for me.
Good evening Sifu.. I was recently in a car accident and it's interfering with my Tai Chi and meditation do to limited shoulder movement... I was hoping that you may have insight or advice...
Ahmi Lawson I'm no Sifu, but I started doing Tai Chi a year ago, and I can share an exercise that helps me out alot with loosening my shoulders! While in preperation stance, breathe in and bring your shoulder up and forward (even just a little bit), then start moving it back wards and down and exhale. It's like a circle. Then do it the other direction, then with the other arm. Not sure if you do this already though lol, but please message back with how you feel :]
Hey I'd like to thank you for you advice I wanted to wait and apply it multiple times before I replied.. Your advice was effective and I'm expecting better results. -Much respect
I hurt my leg the other day, overextended my upper leg muscle so no splits training the next week :/ But oh well, there so much to train, strength, stability, concentration, endurance etc.
balancing yourself on a wall and holding roundhouse/sidekick positions are always good! we may make a separate tutorial on it. But doing this exercise will help build the posture/positioning and stability to control the height of the kicks
I'm just going to throw this out there- Depending on the severity of the injury, the first thing I do with a light injury is intentionally injury the other side as evenly as possible with the first side. So, for example, let's say I bang my foot against something, it hurts, and there is some minor tissue damage, but nothing too extreme. First thing I do is bang the other side. It's important not to favor one side over the other while recovering, and to heal evenly. Then, staying with the above foot example, I would likely maintain foot/ankle form and precision while healing. Gotta keep everything in alignment.
You do a lot of tricking. Maybe your injury came as a result of strain and overuse and not enough time resting in between. That is how injuries like "stepping off a bus" occur. Strangest ways we get injured. I know a lot about training through or around injuries. I have had 10 surgeries myself and 6 of them were knee surgeries. I still do Taekwondo and other martial arts. You can see on my channel. You have great flexibility and movement. You really should be in kung fu movies. I would also love to see you make free sparring videos with your friends and see how you could actually fight.
I wish you had flat feet like me .you wouldn't have gotten injured. one luxury of having flat feet. but then there's collapsing arches a all that crap😒
I was feeling really down tonight, and this video perked me up. It always motivates me when I see you training.

hey buddy, really loved your videos.....i wish for your speedy recovery....but i wanna know thing exactly in which form of martial art u train...??
kung fu. Duh.
and tai chi. tai chi as well is suppose.
Legion Wolv Bruh... Kung Fu is literally ever martial art born in china. Which includes Tai Chi XD
Vashisht Knightman From his videos and what I've heard them say, it seems like Wushu is his main art
I hurt my leg the other day, overextended my upper leg muscle so no splits training the next week :/ But oh well, there so much to train, strength, stability, concentration, endurance etc.
I have a question please answer if you can. What do you do to build legs strength to hold high side kicks and round house
balancing yourself on a wall and holding roundhouse/sidekick positions are always good! we may make a separate tutorial on it. But doing this exercise will help build the posture/positioning and stability to control the height of the kicks
Thanks a lot for the response and please do make a video on it can.
MartialClub will you please make a front handspring tutorial?
